Sure, Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam and cradle of Islam, misunderstands Islam and gets Islamaphobic too! Because Islamists in sheep clothes accuse people like me as Islamaphobic for saying there is no freedom of religion in Islam.

Media and politicians continue to label critics who say truth about Islam and that Islam is supremacist as Islamaphobes and no one really cares or questions such practice by Saudi Arabia.

The bigger point people miss is that Saudi Arabia spends Billions of dollars in construction of mosques, Islamic centers and other Islamic infrastructure in infidel majority countries for proselytizing. Could this be a double standard? We call it Islamic supremacism.

Thirty-five Christians have been jailed in Saudi Arabia for worshiping in their own homes according to a recent report. The news only surfaced this week that the Christians have been imprisoned for over a month.

Jonathan Racho of International Christian Concern says it is no wonder that Christians there worship in their homes because of the danger they face.

"In Saudi Arabia there is no church," says the ICC spokesman. "There is no other place of worship other than mosques -- so the Christians in Saudi Arabia only gather at their private homes to worship. And when they worship, as you can see in this particular example, they could also be arrested."

Racho was able to talk with one of the female prisoners by phone and explains that prisoners are suffering because of lack of proper medical attention. "They told me that especially the male prisoners have been assaulted by the Saudi officials," he shares.

One of the prisoners told Racho that a Saudi official insulted them by telling them they are non-believers, animals, and supporters of America.

He adds the Christians are waiting for justice, which to them means their release from prison and the ability to worship freely.

But those who knew Islam and read Koran, Hadith, Sira and Sharia knew better. The reason those two were stabbed because Islamists want to create a state of fear and culprits believed their acts are legal in Islamic theology.

Two Iranians who converted from Islam to Christianity were stabbed by masked me in Haugesund last week. The attacker shouted 'Kuffar' (Arabic for non-believer) during the attack.

The attack happened Tuesday evening, when both Christian Iranians were out walking in Haugesund. They were suddenly attacked by three masked men armed with knives, who shouted 'kuffar' while they stabbed the two.

A nurse passing by gave first aid and then an ambulance brought them to hospital, reports Haugesunds Avis.

According to the police, one of the victims was stabbed twice in the back and the other was stabbed in his side. No perpetrators have been caught.

The two victims want to remain anonymous and have not spoken of the assault. They've lived in Norway for many years. One of them converted in Norway, the other did so in Iran and managed to flee to Norway after he was abused and imprisoned for his faith.

They're both active in a local evangelical church.

'They've very active in the community, and have also bore witness to their faith during meetings,' says their pastor, who also wants to remain anonymous, since he often travels to Muslim countries where Christians are persecuted.

He's certain that the attack was religiously motivated. "I'm totally sure of it. Since the attackers shouted 'kuffar' during the attack, I have no doubt about it."

He says he didn't expect such things to happen in Haugesund. "It's very dramatic and surprising. I didn't take that into account. I hadn't heard of threats against any coverts in the area."

If Muslims are in majority, there will be some sort of law preventing Muslims leave Islam and punishing Muslims who leave Islam to other religion. This is state totalitarianism coming directly from sharia and Sunna (example of Mohammad) and Koran.

When Muslims are in minority - since such Islamic laws can not be formulated - it is totalitarianism of extremist organizations, terrorist cells or extremist cells and presence of many devout Muslims who are always ready to kill and commit violence which create a state of fear among Muslims (Non-Muslims too) and influencing their behavior and decisions.

The examples are a security guard killing the former governor of Punjab(Pakistan) - Salman Taseer -, murdering of Theo Van Gogh by a Muslim in Netherlands and ordeal of Riqba Bary in USA when she converted to Christianity.

Why only devout Muslims commit such crimes and why we find so many of such cases in Islamic system only? The answer is simple.

Koran explicitly commands Muslims to follow and obey Mohammad, founder of Islam; Allah in Koran even says Prophet is paragon of virtues for all Muslim men. And Prophet Mohammad ordered killing of people - who criticized his raids on civilian caravans and villages - and opposed him and questioned his prophethood. He plundered. He raped Non-Muslim women. He tortured people to death. He ordered killing of Muslims who leave Islam.

Some verses from Koran in reference to Muslim men following the example of Prophet Mohammad and obeying his commands:

You have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah. (Koran 33:21)

"O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you........." (Koran 4:59)

"O you who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak)." (Koran 8:20)

"Say: "If you do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Koran 3:31)

One simple question you can ask yourselves is why do so many Muslim men grow beard? After-all Koran never tells them to grow beard or apply perfumes. The answer is Mohammad lived liked that. Mohammad had beard and liked and applied perfumes.

As above verses from Koran say that to be forgiven by Allah, Muslims should follow Prophet Mohammad, which means total bliss is only possible by emulating Prophet Mohammad. The greatest Islamic scholar, Iman Ghazali, writes: "Know that the key to total bliss lies in following the Sunnah and in emulating the life of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) in all that issues from him, and in all his doings even if it concerns the manner of his eating, rising, sleeping, and speaking. I do say thisin relation to rituals in worship ONLY because ther is no way neglecting the Sunnah reported of him in such matters - but what I say includes every aspect of his daily life". (Kitab al Arbain Addin, Cairo 1344, p. 89).

All this leads to fanatical and lunatic behavior from devout Muslims. When Islamic apologists and so called 'moderate' Muslims say those Muslims commting terrorism are not Muslims at all, they are simply lying. They(terrorists) are devout and belive that their death is testimony to their belief and killing infidels will take them closer to Allah. And Muslims who die in Jihad directly go to paradise with out having to do some time in hell.

Hira Khar also blames the entire world for this misunderstanding; this kind of reaction is in complete line with other Islamic supremacists who always blame others for all their faults and shortcomings and also whenever Islam gets bad publicity.

In her words, if Saudi Arabia is enforcing sharia then it is our fault. If Taliban ascends to power in Afghanistan then it is our fault. If Islamists win elections capturing 70% of votes in Egypt and in Tunisia, it our fault. If 80% of Muslims around the world want enforcement of punishments prescribed in Sharia like stoning for adultery, chopping of hands for theft and death to apostates ( Muslims who leave Islam and convert to other faiths), then it is our fault too.

So, is it that all four major schools of Sunni Islam misunderstand Islam too? If this is combined with Iran, it covers entire landmass under Islamic nations and 99% of Muslim population!!

May be that Islam is all delusional.

Islam is the "most misunderstood" and "misrepresented" faith in the world, Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said today and acknowledged that illiterate and irresponsible people have been allowed to take the religion in their hands.

"In my mind Islam is the most misunderstood and misrepresented religion in the world. For example, Islam is the one religion that reinforces respect for women but we, the entire world must take responsibility because we have let Islam to be misrepresented," Khar said during a debate on Democracy at the World Economic Forum ( WEF) here.

She said Islam supports best of the democracies and her country would become the best example of this fact in ten years of time.

"If you ask whether Islam will come in the way of democracy, it is the other way round. Islam supports best of the democracies. Islam and democracy are not contradictory forces. They are rather supportive forces. Pakistan will become the best example of this fact in ten years of time.

"We have to take Islam away from the hands of the left overs of the society. We have let illiterate and irresponsible people take Islam in their hands. But it is also the duty of the Western world to understand the difference. They have been very biased on various occasions," she added
"A big bias has been shown say in cases like Palestine and Kashmir," she alleged.

Why did she say such things in the first place? Because she knew that no media will ever scritinize what is Sharia and even if they do, she knew that they dare not publish it as a cabal like OIC successfully portrayed such findings as examples of Islamophobia.

What do we hear from 'plum' Islamophiles and Islamists? Nothing less than that Islam respects all religions, freedom of religion and freedom of conscience. On the ground, truth is so much distant from what they say could be gauged by noticing that out of 57 Muslim majority nations, 55 nations have Islam as official religion or declared themselves as Islamic; in all these countries secularism is blasphemy.

Indonesia - one of remaining two - is secular only in name as one of its provinces implements Sharia - including stoning for adultery - and numerous Islamic groups enforce sharia by targeting Christians and Churches. Recently a person was even arrested because he was an atheist and also created a page in facebook saying there is no God. Moreover, this is what a human rights organization says: Violence against Indonesia’s religious minorities surges.

At the other extreme, one can see Saudi Arabia where it is prohibited to construct other places of worship - like churches and temples - and also that infidels can not take Bibles or other symbols to Saudi Arabia.

After-all, Prophet Mohammad said, "kill any one who leaves Islam (Sahih Bukhari - 52:260)".

The Congress Govt.'s abject surrender before Islamists in the case of 'Satanic Verses' or illegal construction of mosques in New Delhi - all in the name of not hurting feelings of Muslims - deserves utter contempt and should make freedom loving Indians to think independently.

"In view of the resentment simmering in the city against Rushdie's (proposed) address, we have told the organisers that they cannot allow the writer to speak via video," Jaipur's Superintendent of Police Vijendra Jhala told media persons here.

Minutes before Rushdie was to speak, dozens of Muslims started praying in the courtyard of the Diggi Palace. Some of them warned of consequences if the Rushdie address took place.

"Every mazhab (religion) teaches us to respect god within us, but those who insult god and religion have no business to be here," said a Muslim who did not wish to be named.

"He is a criminal writer as far as Muslims are concerned. He has insulted Prophet Mohammed and there is no way we will let him speak even if he is doing so from abroad. There will be trouble if the speech by Rushdie goes ahead. Muslims are never afraid of dying," he added.

Sri Lanka expels Indian Muslim preachers from its soil

Sri Lanka has reportedly ordered 161 foreign Muslim preachers - from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, the Maldives and Arab nations - to leave the country for flouting visa regulations and they were not teaching moderate form of Islam.

Bravo Sri Lanka! In India, politicians and media can not even agree that there is possibility of Mullahs in India preaching extremism in madrassas and seminaries. Or did we ever ask ourselves what is the syllabus in these so called madrassas? No prizes for guessing that Koran, Hadith and elements of Sharia are too important to be missed out. And all these sources are extremely intolerant towards Non-Muslims, particularly Hindus, with summons to hate, kill or subjugate infidels as fourth class citizens (that is how Sharia treats Non-Muslims).

Or how come these 161 Mullahs, who spent their time studying Islamic scriptures, misunderstand the religion of peace so completely?

Of course, one might point out the extreme hostility of Sinhalese-Buddhist nationalism towards Hindu Tamils and the discrimination they suffered. What can not be denied is that such nationalism linked to past underpinnings serves as first line of defense against external barbaric forces like Islamic supremacism. Complete dissociation of any nation from past lacks the will to face and withstand Islamic onslaught which knows no mercy.

Sri Lanka 'expels 161 foreign Muslim preachers'

Sri Lanka has reportedly ordered 161 foreign Muslim preachers to leave the country for flouting visa regulations.

A senior immigration official was quoted as saying that the clerics had no right to preach in mosques because they had arrived on tourist visas.

He also said that some local Muslims had complained that the visitors were not teaching a moderate form of Islam.

The preachers - from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, the Maldives and Arab nations - must now leave by 31 January.

'Laughable idea'

"They have violated immigration laws. A tourist visa is to have a holiday or visit friends and family, and not to preach Islam," Sri Lanka's immigration head Chulananda Perera told the AFP news agency.

Mr Perera said the group belonged to Tablighi Jamaat - an international Islamic movement popular in Sri Lanka and the region.

A Muslim source told the BBC that the movement sends groups of preachers to places of worship, urging Muslims to devote more time to their faith and act more devoutly.
Any idea that they were militant was laughable, the source added.

Muslim members of Sri Lanka's government have expressed concern at the mass expulsion, and are expected to meet other officials later on Monday to try to delay the move.

The news has also created consternation in the Muslim community in Sri Lanka, the third largest ethnic group in the country after Sinhalese and Tamils, the BBC's Charles Haviland in Colombo reports.

During the long civil war the community was often caught between the two warring parties and it has a reputation for moderation, our correspondent adds.

Leftists might turn this incident in to unnecessary debate with labels like 'Hindu hypocrisy on beef.'. But what anyone can not deny is this act took place in the temple premises and is an deliberately provocative act and probably, the larger goal being intimidating Hindus of Kerala in to silence on resisting Jihadi activities to turn Kerala, subsequently India, in to a Muslim majority state as captured pamphlets in the past were suggesting. It can not escape the memory that this is the same place where Muslims cut the hands of a Christian professor for 'alleged' hurting of feelings of sentiments of Muslims.

And as usual, media stayed silent about this incident too and worse thing, and alarming, is Malayali media too remained completely silent. The reasons for such conspicuous silence from media could be wide ranging from financial to appeasement of Muslims and politicians to ideological compulsions or the fear of mob violence from Muslims. Sure, when that Italian in New Delhi and her cohorts intend to bring communal harmony bill (here and here) media can not report on incidents where Muslims are perpetrators as that bill presupposes Muslims as victims and Hindus as violent.

But this kind of never ending appeasement of monster i.e. Islamic supremacism is suicidal for any civilization which believes in freedom and democracy.

Below mail I got few days ago is referring to me as 'adviser of Islam' which I am not. After reading I found many things remained unclear about what she really wants from an 'Islamaphobe' like me. So, without mentioning full name, I am just presenting mail's content:

Dear Adviser of Islam,

Kindly please advise me,..... I am not in my peace of mind when I was made known from my husband that he actually has a wife before me. My husband is a born Muslim from South Africa who work in Thailand and been married to Thai women who is not Muslim. I believe its inter-marriage as he always avoid me asking him about his marriage with her. As I know that Muslim man is allowed to married a non Muslim lady without converting if this lady come from the book people(Christian or Jews) but not someone from a Magian (Zoroastrian) woman or a communist woman or an idol-worshipping woman, etc. I strongly believe that she practice her worship and also participate in the activity.

My worries now ... now that i knew the situation and I have also informed my husband the rules to his marriage in Islam. He is always there with her as his income is there. Can I still be his wife ....... or should I leave him. Please need your advise firmly base on Hadith and Sunnah so that am able to rely this massage clearly to my husband. I dont wanna be part in this sin.

Dear nora-ni,

I am not sure what kind of advice you are looking for. Considering that you are a Muslim girl, you should not have problem with that marriage as you yourselves wanted your future actions to be based on Koran, Hadith and Sunna. It is true that Muslim men can marry women from the faiths like Christianity and Judaism, not vice versa. Koran explicitly stated this.

Koran also commands that Muslims give the choice between Jizya and conversion to Christians and Jews only while giving idol worshipers the choice between death and conversion. Nevertheless, the choice of Jizya was later extended to Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists and Parsis based on Sunna that Mohammad accepted Jizya from Parsis.

May be the similar extension was given to other women because in India Muslim men routinely marry Hindu girls who have fallen in to trap of multiculturalism and pluralism blah blah....

So, you take your own decision.

By the way, if you want to communicate further you should know that I have least respect for Islam, Koran and your Sharia.

Anti-Hindu policy is part of secularism of UPA: Hapless Hindu refugees denied asylum

Secularism in India was supposed to be broadminded, devoid of bigotry and humane, at-least this was how Nehru envisioned. But present day secularism is mixture of appeasement of minorities and denigration of Hindu mythology and chastising of practicing Hindus. How else one could view the Govt. (Congress ( I ) ) sponsoring with its money an exhibition depicting Ram and Sita as brother and sister?

A decade ago politicians, Govt. officials and media representatives (journalists) at-least could possibly agree and speak in public about presence of more than 70 million Bangladeshi Muslims in West Bengal and Assam. But competition for Muslim votes among inept political parties across the political spectrum, virulent and violent response of some sections of Muslims - reacting to their own perceived insults to their Koran and Prophet - have simply made even discussing issues involving national security impossible. Abetting this kind of state of affairs is self serving media. If one wants a proof for what I wrote, one can look at how Govt. is giving the vip treatment to lone terrorist - involved in Mumbai shootings that killed about 180 people - convicted by courts and silence of media on this.

Even when not associated with RSS or BJP in any manner, any one mentioning this kind of issues (e.g. illegal immigrants) elicits accusations of being Hindu fascists and inhumane from secular politicians, self-labelled intellectuals and human rights entrepreneurs. And media always finds space in their papers to report such shibboleths.

But when 150 Hindu refugees - who came as pilgrims on visas - asked for extending their visas and also asylum, our Govt. - based on secularism and humanity - simply said, "NO."

A group of 146 Pakistani Hindus took refuge at capital's Majnu ka Tilla Sep 8 after crossing the Attari border Sep 4.

"I don't fear for my life but for my family. I decided to come here as there is no place for Hindus in Pakistan. Sexual assault, forced conversion, abduction and humiliation is all this country (Pakistan) has given us," Shobhamal told IANS.

Shobhamal's 18-year-old son died of cancer here earlier this month.

With their tourist visas expired some two months ago, these people from Bagidi community are reluctant to go back to Sindh where, they say, there is no security of their life and property.

Hindus form around seven percent of the total population of Sindh province.

"We don't want to go back. We are outcast there. We appeal to the government that please just give us refuge and we don't want any citizenship," rues 45-year-old Ganga Ram.

Gang Ram has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, requesting extension of their visas and shelter.

They are currently living in 12 tents and share one dilapidated toilet -- but say they don't have much complaints.

"We are happy here. Though life is tough here, it's not an ordeal what it used be in Pakistan. There, you bear the brunt of being non-Muslims," said Sagar, a mechanic, who was robbed of all his tools with which he used to make his ends meet.

"They force us to convert to Islam and threaten of dire consequences. They abduct our children and loot our property. If we complain, nobody listens. There, even the prime minister is not safe, let alone Hindus," says Mithalal, who is in his 50s.

When this IANS correspondent tried to speak to the women in the community, a sense of reluctance took over. However, a few narrated their ordeal, after much convincing.

"When our husbands are away for work, we keep our doors locked and live in constant fear. We are not allowed to wear vermillion on our foreheads," said Rukmini.

"We don't eat our food until our children come back as you never know they might be kidnapped or circumcised," said a woman, refusing to reveal her identity.

The above report does not give the whole picture of life of Hindus, Sikhs and Christians living in Pakistan - in better words - the state of religious minorities in Islamic societies (here).

According to 1998 census Hindus constitute 1.6% of population with >90% alone living in Sindh. It is only a matter of time this community disappears (ethnically cleansed from Pakistan).

Suffering and extermination of Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan never really comes in to the conscience of our Bollywood heroes, -Khans, who regularly go to Pakistan and champion friendly relations between India and Pakistan - and our intellectuals like Kuladeep Nayyar.

Contrast the above truth with often quoted 'politically correct' text in the establishment: India maintaining Good relations with Israel hurts sentiments of Muslims in India.

All this hypocrisy is in perfect line with universally happening reality i.e. the religious sentiments of Muslims are more important than lives and property of Non-Muslims, freedom of expression and other constitutional rights. The consequences of such logic and policy are detrimental to democracies and free world.

Indians are mindful of how politicians - unconstitutionally - pander to demands of adherents - section of maulvis - of the religion of peace; one example is even reversing High court order for construction of mosques illegally with state money in Delhi state (here and here). And the problem is much deeper.

Lately, even media started selectively censoring news that shows Islam, its doctrines and its adherents in unfavorable colors. When media was reporting on Deganga violence perpetuated by some extremist elements in Muslim community, it never mentioned criminals by their religion. At times, it chooses to ignore the whole incident like NDTV ignoring the whole Deganga episode.

In November, police in J & K arrested a Christian pastor CM Khanna because he was proselytizing and propagating Christianity ( a constitutional right ) and 7 Muslims for converting to Christianity. Only Zee news reported this (here).

The same report also mentions sharia courts (courts to enforce Islamic law i.e. Sharia law), undoubtedly unconstitutional and inhuman, calling the shots. In the whole report, criticism of or showing concern about existence of sharia courts in the state is simply non-existent. And this is not all.

Later, when pastor wanted to apply for bail, the bar association in Srinagar has threatened to debar lawyers from practice if they represented the pastor in the court (here). This is reminiscent of incident of lawyers in Pakistan showering rose petals on the killer of Punjab Governor (here) - Salman Taseer - which was also reported in our media too. But, media choose not to report what is taking place in our country, for some enlightened reasons!

Considering that people like me are labelled as Islamaphobes for writing that Islam prohibits proselytizing by other religions and also awards death penalty to those Muslims leaving Islam, now, should some one say that bar association is also suffering from Islamaphobia?

To know Islamic law on freedom of religion, read chapter 8 and chapter 11 from 'reliance of traveller' - English translation of Sharia law book - which is also certified to be authentic and accurate by none other than Al-Azhar University, the highest Islamic institute in Sunni Islam (here).

In the end, by failing to report and criticize the existence of Sharia courts in India media simply upheld Sharia law which treats Non-Muslims as fourth class citizens.

An Arabic Islamic scholar in an effort to show off generosity of Islam towards Non-Muslims says, "Islam is generous as it allows Muslim men to marry Non Muslim women.". But, this gentleman could at-least be forgiven for being honest on Islamic law, which allows Muslim men to marry Non-Muslim women and forbids Muslim women marrying Non-Muslim men.

Secular and liberal face of Islam in India, as showcased by Indian Main stream media (esp. English), Ashgar Ali Engineer blatantly lies that Islam allows inter religious marriages in presenting non-existent benign face of Islam towards Non-Muslims.

Islamic law (SHARIA LAW) simply sanctions death penalty to Non-Muslim men for marrying Muslim women; this grossly double standard in Islamic law (SHARIA LAW) could be the cause for collapse of Non Islamic cultures.

Since, in the present day world, many Muslims are living in Non-Islamic states - say India -, what would happen if Muslim women develop any kind of relation with Non-Muslim men? Read the following stories:

Yep, if you belong to that lovely creed, you can snap on Christmas and execute your entire clan or burn down a famous college, and the media won’t say shizzle about your faith or your motivation for mayhem. Sa-weet, eh, mass murderers?

Case in point. Aziz Yazdanpanah, known only as the “Santa Killer,” was a follower of this “amazing faith” who slaughtered his family on Christmas Day after his wife dumped him and his 19-year-old daughter wouldn’t stop dating a non-Religion of Peacer. The adherents of said faith refer to this act as an “honor killing,” and when it occurs police and the press reckon it unworthy of unearthing and condemning publicly........

So, how did the truth revealing journalists report this Christmas Day carnage enacted by a male member of the Peace People? Here’s how: They called Aziz the “Santa Killer” who was down on his financial and relational luck whom his neighbors regarded as a decent gent who loved his family and liked to do yard work.

Ahmadiyya Muslim community! Its adherents, Ahmadis, consider them selves as a sect of Islam and their places of worship are also called mosques. Ahmadis differ from main stream Islam in many ways, the most important one being acceptance of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad - founder of Ahmadiyya movement - as Prophet.

But, Islam considers Prophet Mohammad to be the last prophet before the day of the Judgment; this is the first of 5 pillars of Islam: shahada (saying 'Allah is the only God and Mohammad is messenger'). Muslims say that belief of Ahmadis regarding the prophet-hood violates basic tenets of Islam thus, their sect can not be a part of Islam.

Probably in seventies, Pakistan Govt. passed a law that declared Ahmadiyya sect [3 to 4 million Ahmadis live in Pakistan] as non-Islamic. But, persecution of and violence against Ahmadis continues in Pakistan and li last 3 years it increased sharply like attacks on two Ahmadiyya mosques killing 95 people (here).

Now, pamphlets seems to be in circulation saying that Ahmadis are fit to be killed. This may not be like a open command like Allah issued in Koran in the verse 9:5: "when sacred months have passed, fight and slay the idolaters wherever you find them, sieze them, besiege them and prepare for them every ambush.....", nevertheless, it tells about degree of intolerance that can be found in Islam with respect to non-Muslims.

Ahmadiya community fit to be killed, says pamphlets in Pakistan

Pamphlets branding members of the minority Ahmadiya community as "wajib-ul-qatl" (fit to be killed) and inciting people to attack them are being openly circulated in Pakistan's textile industry hub of Faisalabad, according to a media report.

The pamphlets list the names of several Ahmadiya industrialists, doctors and businesses.

The first name is that of a cloth house, three owners of which were gunned down in a brazen attack last year, The Express Tribune newspaper reported.

The pamphlets were issued by the All Pakistan Students Khatm-e-Nubuwat Federation and are being circulated at main shopping plazas and important commercial centres of the city in Punjab province.

"To shoot such people is an act of jihad and to kill such people is an act of sawab (blessing)," the pamphlets say.

The Umoor-e-Aama Jama'at Ahmadiyya of Faisalabad, a group representing the community, reacted to the distribution of such literature by saying that the propaganda campaign is being "carried out unhindered by some fanatic religious groups under the patronage of law enforcing agencies and the provincial government".

The Jama'at blamed the Punjab government for ignoring several protests lodged by the province's Ahmadiya community.

It said religious fanatics are being encouraged by inaction on the part of government agencies.

Reports of Victims of Forced Conversions to Islam, Rapes and Forced Marriages

This is not new. From the time Islam was founded to present day, this kind of terrorization, humiliation of non-Muslims - enslaving non-Muslim women sexually - by Muslims is always in practice. It will continue in to future because media and people, in general, have refused to see and counter it. Those who spoke on this were condemned and vilified as communal. These atrocities will continue in to future because Muslims do not see them wrong as it follows example of Prophet and also that they believe that they will be rewarded by Allah.

Earlier, this blog reported on notice of rise in kidnapping of Coptic girls (here).

Some people, in compulsion of their political ideology or fancy beliefs, try to deny Islamic intolerance towards all non-Muslims - which is inherent to and a necessity of Islamic faith (one can read a very interesting one on this from here).

For some, to speak against these gruesome acts or Islamic beliefs is costly and dangerous because of danger of being branded as communal. Some feel that staying in ignorance of Islamic tenets and doctrines, deliberately, and not criticizing Islam and its beliefs is ethical and testimony to their liberal and secular outlook.

So, the evil - that is Islam - will continue to advance. Tolerating intolerance is not a virtue; it is a vice.

LAHORE -- In Pakistan forced conversions to Islam, rapes and forced marriages are on the rise.

According to a story by Agenzia Fides (the information service of the Pontifical Mission Societies), the victims are mostly Hindu and Christian girls, belonging to religious minorities. The information came from Fides' local sources.

Fides said this has been a worrying phenomenon for the Church in Pakistan for some time, and one that the Church is trying to address. It is looking for institutional cooperation, but the process is an uphill battle.

"The Christian girls are the weakest and most vulnerable, because their communities are poor, defenseless and marginalized, therefore easily exposed to harassment and threats. Often they do not even have the courage to denounce the violence," a sister told Fides.

The sister hides and assists the girls who have managed to escape, Fides said.

The sister said, "But the trend is worrying: There are hundreds of cases a year registered and those that come to light are only a fraction."

Fides said in a society that tolerates discrimination of religious minorities, especially of women, the dominant religion and related social position are used to impose tyranny.

A report sent to Fides by the Center for Legal Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS), which takes care of legal assistance for Christians who are discriminated against and persecuted in Pakistan, confirmed this issue. It reported a number of troubling situations, occurring mainly in the province of Punjab.

Fides said Sidra Bibi, a 14-year-old Christian in the district of Sheikhupura in Punjab, is the daughter of a worker in the cotton industry. A Muslim from the village had his eye on her and began to molest her. He eventually abducted and raped her, before threatening her with death.

Physically and psychologically abused, the girl became pregnant.

Fides said she managed to escape from her captor, and is now back with her family. Police have refused to accept her complaint, Fides said, and now CLAAS lawyers are handling the case.

Fides said Tina Barkat, a 28-year-old-Christian, was approached by a Muslim friend who, after being friends with her for several months, asked her to convert to Islam. Her family began to read her verses of the Koran, kidnaped and threatened her, and then gave her in marriage to a Muslim family member. Her attorneys have filed a motion to dissolve the marriage.

Fides said a similar situation has occurred to Samina Ayub, a 17-year-old Christian, who lives with her family near Lahore. Kidnaped by a Muslim, she was forcibly converted to Islam, renamed Fatima Bibi, and forced to marry in the Muslim tradition.

Fides said her family reported the abduction, but police have not prosecuted those responsible. The case remains unsolved, and her family is asking for help from everyone interested in saving Samina.

Fides said Shazia Bibi, a 19-year-old Christian from Gujranwala, in Punjab, worked as a maid in the house of a Muslim woman, the owner of a grocery store. The Muslim boy from the store was in love with Shazia. In collaboration with the owner, they held a "conversion" and forced her into marriage. Fides said the plan was successful, but now as a result of intervention from Shazia's family the case has ended up in court.

In addition, Fides said, two other Christian girls, Uzma Bibi, 15, and from Gulberg, and Saira Bibi, 20, a nurse from Lahore, were abducted by Muslim neighbors, converted to Islam and then forced to marry in an Islamic ceremony.

Fides said the horrified families of the girls have reclaimed their daughters, and the cases are currently before the High Court of Lahore, represented by lawyers provided by CLAAS.

Slogan of Muslim apologists - like Sultan Shahin, Ashghar Ali Engineer - that "there is no compulsion in Islam" is an effort in direction of misguiding non-Muslims and to keep them in false sense of security.

Prophet said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims."(Sahih Bukhari; vol. 9, book 83, # 17)

Reliance of Traveller, an English version version of "Umdat as-Salik wa 'Uddat an-Nasik" - Sharia law book [fiqh] of Shafi'i school of Sunni Islam - and also certified by Al-Azhar university [most influential institute in Sunni Islam] says in divison 'o' and section 8 that leaving Islam is the ugliest form of unbelief and clause @o8.1 says (here):

When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed.

Maududi, founder of Jamaat-e-Islaami, supports death penalty for apostasy on the basis of Koran too and one can read it here.

If Islamic states deny freedom of religion through laws and arresting apostates, in non-Muslim countries one can always find some (enough) pious Muslims enforcing this code of sharia law:" death to or violence on Muslims who convert to other religions. The effect is the same because we do not see any condemnation of such heinous acts by media or so called liberal guardians and spokesmen of morality and this kind only encourages more Muslims to act in such punitive manner.

A MAN has been locked up for attacking another man in the street with a plank of wood.

Nottingham Crown Court heard that Sher Ahmadzai, 20, hit his victim with a metre-long plank, causing him to fall over during the attack in Radford.

Another man then started punching and kicking the fallen man in the face.

The victim escaped without serious injury but was left with a sore jaw and leg pain.

The court heard Ahmadzai knew his victim and both were members of the Afghan community.

The man was of Muslim faith but converted to Christianity after claiming asylum here.

"This did not sit well with the defendant," said prosecutor Paul Stimson.

Christians in Australia openly protest at Islamic billboard saying 'Jesus is a Prophet of Islam'

When Allah in Koran has permitted pillage (or robbery), murder, enslaving and rape to advance Islam and eradicate infidelity or disbelief, lies and half truths - in promotion of Islam - never come in to conscience of Islamists and they are perfectly allowed. Especially, the present day reality of inferiority of Muslim nations with respect to infidel nations in regard to military strength, lies and half truths become very handy too. Finally, more importantly, - to poke more fun to at nose of infidels - these lies and half truths can be sold freely using concepts of infidels like freedom of expression and freedom of religion. Money for advertising such lies is never a problem too as Muslims are flush with petro dollars and there are plenty of clients for these petro dollars in non-Muslim majority nations.

In Australia, this is what Muslims are trying to do by raising billboards depicting Jesus as a Prophet of Islam, probably intended for double purpose of showing Islam as tolerant, inclusive and also for gaining new converts.

But it does not tell the whole picture esp. about how different concept of Jesus in Islam is from concept of Jesus in Christianity .

It is never really difficult to see such lies if we read every day news coming from Islamic nations in the net where in Islamic Govt.s keep arresting Muslims who left Islam to Christianity and Christians accused of proselytizing for Christianity. Many Islamic nations simply ban other religions from propagating their faith in their countries. In to Saudi Arabia, you can not take crosses, Bibles and pictures of Jesus. Christians (for that matter, all non-Muslims) are forbidden to celebrate their festivals in public place.

[Note: To humiliate non-Muslims further, all these Islamic nations send billions of petro dollars for proselytizing in non-Muslim majority countries.]

Or for that matter, try to erect a billboard in an Islamic nation telling Jesus was crucified on cross and is the son of God! Reaction from Muslims and Islamic Government will be what we can only call intolerance -probably with charges of blasphemy on people responsible for those billboards.

So, should't what Muslims are saying in this billboard contradict what Islamic nations are practicing? Not exactly in terms of Islamic theology as Islam sees itself as the only true religion and final message with Jesus being one in line of Prophets sent by God to guide mankind and of course, Prophet Mohammad being the last, the seal of all Prophets and the greatest. In fact it insults Christianity further by saying that Jesus is not a son of God, blatantly lying on what constitutes Trinity and, ultimately, Jesus is not crucified on cross as the following verses say:

O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers,......... (4:171, Pickthall)

And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. (4:157, Pickthall)

The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! "(9:30, Pickthall)

Similar is the case with Bible when Muslims say they respect Bible. But which Bible? Bible that never existed. What Muslims do not tell is their belief of present day Bible being corrupted.

According to Muslims coming of Prophet Mohammad was mentioned in Bible but this was removed by Christians. Since, present day [or at any time] Bible never mentioned anything like it, Muslims claim that - as always with out any proof and like in numerous occasions - this was removed thus, Bible was corrupted. If one wants more proof, they can read about reports on Muslims in Pakistan demanding banning of Bible (here, here).

"From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done." (5:14, Yusuf Ali)

Such is the nature of Islam, as it exists in Koran, legalizing mocking of every other religion.

Julian Porteous, auxiliary bishop at the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, told the website: 'In Australia with its Christian heritage a billboard carrying the statement ‘Jesus A prophet of Islam’ is provocative and offensive to Christians.'

'Central to Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is more than a prophet,” he said.

'He is the Son of God. He is acclaimed Lord and Savior of humanity. This statement is a direct assault on Christian beliefs.'

Urging Mypeace to take down the posters, Bishop Porteous said that religions should avoid offending people of different faiths.

Muslim members of Punjab Assembly (Pakistan) oppose a Christian presenting budget and replace him with a Muslim

Islam of terrorists is not real Islam! Islamic extremists are a tiny minority! We just keep reading these or variations of these statements.

Most people try to understand Islam from point of view of terrorism ignoring and forgetting the fact that terrorism is just a tactic or means to achieve political goals. Islam - being political at its core - is imperialist (supremacist) in its (political) ideology supported by religious dogma filled with with universal claims of Islam is the true religion and others are falsehood, Islam is the light and others are darkness, Muslims are superior and the best of humanity while non-Muslims are the vilest of all creatures and are like vermin. For better of humanity, this vermin should be defeated and subjugated.

For no other reason, all most all Muslim majority nations reject secularism, declare themselves as Islamic nations, restrict freedom of religion and are the only ones to form an organization based solely on religion.

It is these supremacist beliefs - coupled with belief of victim-hood and inferior status thus, feeling of injustice because they should be powerful and ruling class - that guide popular movements in Islamic nations. In Islamic law, a Muslim is always above non-Muslim in every aspect of life - with friendship between Muslims and non-Muslims is prohibited by Allah in Koran - and all non-Muslims should be excluded from Islamic Govt..

It is precisely these beliefs that are behind legislative members of Punjab(Pakistan) Assembly objecting to a Christian presenting budget.

The reason mentioned in news report i.e. fear of losing votes from 'conservative' Muslims should tell how bogus the claim of only a tiny minority of Muslims being extremists by Islamic apologists and media is.

Several provincial legislators in Punjab belonging to the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have objected to Punjab cabinet member Kamran Michael presenting the budget on grounds that he is Christian, sources within the party told The Express Tribune.

Sources say PML-N leaders are in a bind trying to figure out who to assign the finance ministry portfolio before the budget is presented before the Punjab Assembly on June 10.

Several party members are reported to have objected to a Christian being given such a prominent position as that of delivering the annual budget speech and fear losing votes amongst some of their conservative, right-wing vote bank. The PML-N is already afraid of losing ground in its heartland of Punjab to other parties that have been making inroads in the province in recent months.

Michael had been given charge of the finance ministry in March, after the PML-N kicked out the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from Punjab’s ruling coalition. He replaced the PPP’s Tanveer Ashraf Kaira, in addition to retaining his earlier portfolio of human rights and minorities affairs.

However, while Michael was minister in theory, in practise the position has been managed by Sardar Zulfiqar Khan Khosa, senior adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who was given charge of the finance and planning and division department for two months after the PPP was kicked out.

Sources say that Michael was forbidden from even contacting the finance secretary or the chairman of the planning and development department.

Michael holds the finance ministry as an “additional portfolio”, which means that he is authorised to present the budget. However, he has not been assigned the ministry itself. Rule 136 of the Punjab Assembly Rules of Procedure requires the provincial budget to be presented by the finance minister or another minister who has been assigned his portfolio.

According to the rules of the Punjab Assembly, the residual powers of any unfilled portfolios in the provincial cabinet are transferred to the chief minister until a new minister is appointed. Shahbaz currently holds 20 portfolios himself, having failed to appoint cabinet ministers after kicking out the PPP from the ruling coalition.

Sources said that PML-N members have suggested that the “additional portfolio” for the finance ministry be given to Education and Excise Minister Mujtaba Shuja Rehman in order to avoid Michael presenting the budget. A final decision on the matter is expected to be taken at a party meeting on Tuesday (today).

Since the chief minister technically occupies the powers of finance minister, he could present the budget himself, without having to assign the portfolio to any other cabinet member.

Punjab Government spokesman Senator Pervaiz Rashid told The Express Tribune that Rehman is most likely to present the Punjab budget for fiscal year 2012.

The reason why Jihad should be waged against them [Jews and Christians] is that they did not adopt the Law [Based on Koran] sent down by Allah through His Messenger [Prophet Mohammad].

This is the aim of Jihad with the Jews and the Christians and it is not to force them to become Muslims and adopt the `Islamic Way of Life.' They should be forced to pay Jizyah in order to put an end to their independence and supremacy so that they should not remain rulers and sovereigns in the land. These powers should be wrested from them by the followers of the true Faith[Islam], who should assume the sovereignty and lead others towards the Right Way, while they[Jews and Christians and all non-Muslims] should become their subjects and pay jizyah. Jizyah is paid by those non-Muslims who live as Zimmis (proteges) in an Islamic State, in exchange for the security and protection granted to them by it. This is also symbolical of the fact that they themselves agree to live in it as its subjects. This is the significance of "..... they Pay jizyah with their own hands," that is, "with full consent so that they willingly become the subjects of the Believers, who perform the duty of the vicegerents of AIIah on the earth."

At first this Command applied only to the Jews and the Christians. Then the Holy Prophet himself extended it to the Zoroastrians also. After his death, his Companions unanimously applied this rule to all the non-Muslim nations outside Arabia.

This is jizyah " of which the Muslims have been feeling apologetic during the last two centuries of their degeneration and there are still some people who continue to apologize for it. But the Way of Allah is straight and clear and does trot stand in need of any apology to the rebels against AIIah. Instead of offering apologies on behalf of Islam for the measure that guarantees security of life, property and faith to those who choose to live under its protection, the Muslims should feel proud of such a humane law as that of jizyah.........

As regards the question, "What do the non-Muslims get in return for Jizyah " it may suffice to say that it is the price of the freedom which the Islamic State allows them in following their erroneous ways, while living in the jurisdiction of Islam and enjoying its protection. The money thus collected is spent in maintaining the righteous administration that gives them the freedom and protects their rights. This also serves as a yearly reminder to them that they have been deprived of the honour of paying Zakat in the Way of Allah, and forced to pay jizyah instead as a price of following the ways of error.

Seema Chisthi: Defense of Islam

Alliance between Islamists and Communists is not just legendary. It is still very much in existence and for Islamists these leftist ideologues are just useful idiots who could be dealt with after they assume power just like, (Late) Khomeini, after coming to power, has thousands of communists put to death who initially supported his revolution. Yet, leftists remain blindfolded about Islamic ideology because of their shared hatred towards US, democracy and freedom.

I do not know much about Ms Seema Chisthi, on her religion and her political ideology, except that she is wife of Mr Sitaram Yechuri, an important leader of CPI(M), and an editor in Indian Express.

Considering the possibility of her having leftist leanings and being an atheist, one can not be surprised to see her scathing contempt for Hinduism and her frequent vitriol against BJP.

But, what I am surprised to find is that in an article she wrote for Indian Express under the title 'Taking up the defense of Islam' (her original article can be read from this link) she literally extolls the non-existing virtues of Islam and tells us about how one Islamic scholar from Pakistan, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, issues fatwas against terrorism and explains present day Islamic terrorism is not real Islam. But, she never ventures in to Islamic theology - may be, she is not familiar - nor tries to crosscheck some historical facts mentioned by her. It is unbelievable that she could write this piece! When I tried to think what made her to turn in to such a miserable apologist for Islamic supremacism, I could only think of present day fashionable trend of writing against Hinduism and praising other religions.

Overall, who needs facts! not definitely our main stream media which completely ignores or conceals Islamic extremism in India from violence by some Muslim groups to what some Ulema are saying. One can not expect politically correct media to write what Sharia law says but they should at-least stop publishing this kind of views as it is bound to have some impact on some readers and emboldens Islamic extremists further.

Under-reported in recent times has been the fierce debate within the Muslim community on the wisdom of “defending” Islam. Several scholars have held there is no need to provide explanations. Any “defence” of the Book or the Word is in effect seen as a defensive move, and so, a tactless one, bound to complicate matters and implicate the Faith, eventually.

'Fierce debate'! God, we must have missed some thing? Because, I have not seen any debate, let alone a fierce one, that too on the mentioned subject 'wisdom of defending Islam'. Other important question that should be put to her is who made this 'defending Islam' a subject and a necessity: Muslim terrorists or non-Muslims?

The way she has put words and statements is confusing and misleading, is equally amounting to intentional deceit because she herself does not define what constitutes 'defending Islam'. Her statements are also trying to create an image of Islam and Muslims being victims brushing up its its basic tenets, evil ideology, its past deeds, suffering of religious minorities in Islamic nations at present and incessant efforts of Muslims - even if they are in minority - to make Sharia as part of law in non-Muslim majority nations.

Lets look at this in detail. On numerous occasions, Al-Qaeda, other Islamic terrorist organizations and many more terrorists involved in acts of terrorism have quoted numerous verses from Koran and teachings of Prophet Mohammad for justifying their murderous acts and their fascist ideology. With this, how should non-Muslims and media, which is supposed to inform public about happenings world wide, react to quoting of verses from Koran? Is it the fault of non-Muslims if terrorists blowing up things quote verses from Koran!

This is where so called scholars of Islam come in to picture with their lies and falsehood, telling willing media and non-Muslim politicians that verses mentioned by terrorists do not mean what they say and Islam of terrorists is an aberration of 'real Islam'.

If so-called Muslim scholars are defending Islam in media then it is the result of some actions of Muslims themselves. So called 'defending Islam' is a concerned and natural reaction from Muslims to abominable Islamic crimes followed by statements of verses from Koran and abhorrent Islamic ideology. Nether non-Muslims nor West has anything to do with it.

When Islam is trying to expand - as always it tried to do by all means, to say that Islam is being forced to defend itself theologically is preposterous esp. in the light of Islamists murdering both Muslims and non-Muslims who ever tried to criticize major tenets of main stream Islam; this amounts to shutting down criticism and curtailing freedom of expression, a basic human right which is anyway never respected by leftists and Islamists, both ideologies being totalitarian and fascist.

If murder is the weapon of violent Islamists, using democracy, freedom of expression, political correctness and using faultlines in national politics is part of strategy of peaceful Islamists in trying to shut down any discussion on Islam by coining and using the word 'Islamophobia' and terming any discussion as hatred towards Muslims.

More than a decade before the attacks in New York, the emerging Samuel Huntington idea that a civilisational “clash” was central to all conflicts in the world did find supporters. But as the debate sharpened between the “free” world and the world of the “terrorists”, Muslim scholars of all hues knew what were absolutely the wrong things to do: entering the debate from a point in which one was offering clarifications about the faith — or telling those who don’t know that Islam is a religion of “peace” (Islam itself, literally stems from the root “salam”, or peace).

This kind of reasoning is the result of combination of ignorance of basics of Islam, intention to cheat non-Muslims and compulsions of leftist ideology.

The 'Huntington's theory came in early nineties, esp. much after the collapse of Soviet Union and First Gulf war. So, if her intention was to show that this current phase of Islamic extremism and consequent debates or discussions are result of that theory, no one is bigger fool than she is, for the simple reason that laws of Saudi Arabia and many other Islamic nations are same before as now (Islamic and discriminatory towards non-Muslims and women) and statements issued by OIC (organization of Islamic countries) in the year 1990 in Cairo remove any doubt about intolerant nature of Islam.

Seema Chisthi's indulgence reaches peak when she shamelessly admonishes people for not knowing that Islam is a religion of peace and that Islam itself comes from the word 'salam' meaning peace.

Sure, 'salam' means peace. But it has no relation to the word 'Islam' apart from the fact that both share the common root word i.e. Si-La-M (S-L-M). At the time of so called revelation of Koran to Prophet Mohammad, Arabic language has no written vowels. Many words can be developed from this root word by inserting vowels between these 3 root consonants (S-L-M). Thus we have 'salam' meaning peace and 'Islam' meaning submission. Some other words also sprang from this root word one such is 'salama' meaning the stinging of a snake or the tanning of leather. Should this mean that 'islam' is related to these two. (one can read on this etymology from here)

Best place to look for what 'islam' means is Koran itself in the verse 19 of chapter 3.

The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will)..... But if any deny the Signs of Allah, Allah is swift in calling to account. (3:019;YUSUF ALI).

She even talks of debate between free world and Islamic world as if it has occurred and is allowed. Western world along with India are continuing to live in delusion that Islam is like any other religion and Islam of terrorists is not real Islam, a concept that is pernicious to these civilizations. And to talk of debate, considering she is a journalist - taking place when media censors every thing that is unfavorable to Islam and Muslims is also pure hypocritical.

It is, however, precisely for this reason — for taking up the gauntlet of “defence” — that those like Pakistan-based scholar-cleric, Dr Muhammed Tahir-ul-Qadri deserve to be lauded. He has gone out and developed a large body of detailed notes from the Quran to denounce the view that many hold of some sort of link between Islam and those who claim to kill in its name.

To show Islam is religion of peace, she names a scholar [I am not sure about whether he is based in Pakistan or Canada] with a name Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and wants every one - for also which we should be grateful - to believe that he speaks truth and tells what is 'real Islam' because he made detailed notes from reading Koran! This is the standard of opinion makers and 'enlightened people' in India.

If not by killing or violence, can Muslims by other means establishing a system where discrimination is directed against non-Muslims - I call it Islamic apartheid - be justified? Violence or killing is not end in itself but tactics for imposing Islamic superiority over others. Muslim apologists cleverly try to deviate non-Muslims from knowing about Islamic apartheid by condemning violence and terrorism which are only means; their silence on elements of Islamic supremacism [Islamic apartheid] is too conspicuous.

For more than 13 hundred years, Jihad was understood as warfare against non-Muslims by almost all Islamic scholars (both Sunni and Shia) and it is only in the 19th century that Jihad as concept of inner struggle has come and that too, when Muslim empires were weakest in power and are in descendancy and European powers have acquired greater military power and are in ascendancy.

Qadri takes on interesting questions ranging from the abstract — “Islam allows for the killing of people because of doctrinal differences” — to historical debates, as on the Kharijites. The Kharijites were a controversial sect that appeared during the lifetime of the Prophet, claiming to be truer and more pious believers, and waged a war against the Caliphs, claiming that they were better Muslims. It is the contention of scholars like Qadri and Reza Aslan that what is being seen as a battle on behalf of Islam against non-Muslims is in fact a battle within the faith, of claiming its true soul. The Kharijites are part of this larger battle as the fundamentalists or puritans of the 7th century, who fought other Muslims declaring themselves the sole faithful and others “worthy of death”.

If all these lies are because of ignorance, she continues to flaunt her ignorance with purpose.

Yes, there was a group called kharijites that emerged in the late 7th century. At present, it survives in some parts of Muslim world in small numbers [albeit under a different name] and they also distinguish themselves from both Sunni and Shia.

Vice versa, both Sunni Islam and Shia versions denounce kharijites as heretical. And it is noteworthy that all major (4) schools of Sunni Islam [Hanafi, Shafi'i, Hambali and Maliki] and school of Zafari [Shia Islam] support Jihad and define it as warfare against non-Muslims to bring their lands under Islamic rule and subjugating them.

Considering that extremism, exclusiveness and intolerance of Islam towards non-Muslims is the subject here, kharijites are not different from present day Sunni and Shia Islam in their outlook towards non-Muslims and Jihad and concept of dhimmah.

Kharijites never emerged during the life time of Prophet Mohammad as there was never any opposition nor resentment towards his rule and his orders, as, one obligation of all Muslims is to obey the command of Prophet Mohammad - whatever it be - as Allah tells Muslims in numerous verses (about 90). This statement - that kharijites emerged during life time of Prophet - by Ms Seema Chisthi speaks about her ignorance of history too.

Kharijites first sided with Ali, fourth caliph of Islam, [cousin and son-in-law of Prophet] and later opposed and fought him too on the grounds of differences in theology when Ali agreed to appointing an arbitrator for truce between him and a revolting, powerful Governor of Syria, Muawiyah.

If kharijites are extremists and radicals - in the words of Seema Chisthi - then, how should Ali be considered as he was fighting kharijites? It is enough to tell that Ali was equally killing apostates i.e. Muslims who left Islam to e.g. Christianity.

Kharijites are just another face of Islam with not much difference from Islam of today in theology or jurisprudence according to all 4 schools of Sunni Islam and Zafari school of Shites.

This, is nowhere more visible perhaps, than in Pakistan, which, formed as it was as an “Islamic republic”, cannot seem to agree on a self-definition. Several competing ideas of identity — region, language, ethnicity and colonial leftovers, and then the Cold War — went on to shape and almost consume the region and confuse the picture totally on the place of Islam in the idea of Pakistan.

Inability of Muslims of Pakistan to come to a unanimous definition of 'muslim' is not proof of Islamic tolerance towards non-Muslims. But they all agree on who is a non-Muslim; people calling themselves Hindu, Christian and as Jew are definitely not Muslims. So, there is no confusion here.

On the failure of reaching definition of 'muslim', it is understandable because two predominant sects of Pakistan, Deobandi and Barlevi, literally disagree on how Prophet Mohammad should be viewed besides some other issues. For Deobandi, Prophet Mohammad was just a human and only a messenger of Allah. For Barlevi, Prophet Mohammad is a semi God. This difference causes problem in the first pillar of Islam i.e Shahada, itself and thus disagreement.

The Kharijites serve to make an important point about how those killing in the name of the Almighty are not up to anything new, but bearers of a medieval tradition that blighted Islam even when the Prophet was alive. There is much talk usually, of Muslims not saying “enough” or not being critical “enough” about ills amongst those who kill in the name of Islam, but the first fatwa against terror came on September 12, 2001, by Yusuf Qaradwi who quoted from the Quran emphasising that even one death “shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he has saved the life of all mankind” (5:32). In his discussion of fatwas on terrorism, Qadri quotes a discussion on two sets of documents, one (the “Amman message”) in 2004-05, and another in 2007, that emphasised the need for keeping the Faith distinct from what al-Qaeda’s tapes were keen on reducing it to.

Dr. Qatri is not the first and only Muslim to quote present day Jihadists as kharijites; many have attempted this portrayal thus keeping non-Muslims in a state of ignorance and confusion of Islamic goal of whole world under sharia. Interestingly, jihadists and terrorists denounce kharijites and in their websites they state that they are not like kharijites and give justifications for their actions by quoting from Koran and teachings of Prophet Mohammad, two primary and most important sources of Islam.

Only an ignorant or an ideological lunatic can quote an Islamic supremacist (fascist)Yusuf Qaradawi in defense of Islam. Probably she did it because she expects all her readers to be ignorants and thus remain unchallenged. His (Qaradawi) comments on the verse 5:32 needs a separate post. But, Yusuf Qaradawi advocates death penalty for apostasy, issued numerous fatwas for killing of Jews including civilians, women and children, advocates destruction of state of Israel and proudly states that Muslims can not reject sharia for secularism. He foresees Europe being conquered by Muslims or Islamized. His definition of Jihad differs from that of terrorists only in the ways but not in the concept itself.

While several other scholars have tried to draw a distinction between an innocent victim and a “more political” victim, Qadri in his 500-page recent work on anti-terrorism fatwas leaves no room for the theological masking of any act of violence as a legitimate tool or response. Combing the Quran for even a slender justification for violence as a response, Qadri finds none.

Rahther than giving one mans rendering as proof, Ms Seema Chisthi could have done well by addressing and explaining why Sharia law of all 4 major schools of Sunni Islam define Jihad as warfare against non-Muslims and treat non-Muslims as second/ third/ fourth class citizens and Muslim women as cattle.

I can quote more than a dozen Islamic scholars, from both classical and modern times, who define Jihad as warfare against non-Muslims and as striving to bring the world under sharia law, as enough was already documented in this blog.

This is what I meant when I said in my earlier posts that when we read Koran and teachings and life of Prophet from Hadith and Sira, we develop our own independent view of Islam and are not dependent on what some scholar said. It is like we ourselves become some kind of scholars who can not be cheated by people like Ms Chisthi or Dr. Qadri.

To be blunt, lets ask Ms Seema Chisthi on whether this so called fatwa worked wonders? The duplicity and impotency of these statements can also be seen from fact that many opinion polls conducted in Islamic countries show that more than significant majority of Muslims want more Islamization in their country and support punishment of death to apostates.

All the time, Ms Chisthi is shamelessly barking about so and so issuing fatwas condemning violence and terrorism. First, these fatwas do not matter much because they do not address very basic Islamic concepts and tenets which are completely supremacist (or imperialist).

These fatwas contain statements like Islam prohibits killing innocent people but they never define who is an innocent.

These fatwas, for the sake of consumption of infidel public, condemn terrorism and suicide bombings but they never define what is Jihad and say anything against Jihad.

These fatwas do not address vital elements of Islamic culture like bringing sharia law to non-Muslim lands. In the view of Dr. Qadri itself, Gods law (sharia law) is much superior to man made laws; here one can see that fog is being lifted off with real Islamic character of Dr Qatri becoming gradually visible.

Finally, as Jihad means striving to bring the world under Sharia law, some Muslims use violence and terrorism as means - and we call these Muslims as terrorists - while some use peaceful means. Now, should use of peaceful means bringing world under sharia be lauded as tolerant?

Yet while Qadri finds a resonance between the Kharijites and modern-day terrorists, it may be useful here to emphasise that these ideas are not frozen in time, but constantly adapting. The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, for instance, currently, defines Pakistan as a bigger enemy than the US (or Israel or Christendom).

This is again to confuse non-Muslims. With large proportions (more than 65%) of Muslims in Pakistan wanting more Islamization and only 13% opposing Islamization, it is unlikely that such organizations can be contained. In fact, this latest opinion poll simply renders likes of Dr Qadri and Ms Chisthi useless and you guess the reasons.

The problem is not so much that they are old and medieval — but that they are a frighteningly modern and adaptive idea. To quote from Karen Armstrong’s The Battle for God; “these movements are not an archaic throwback to the past; they are modern, innovative and modernising. Protestant fundamentalists read the Bible in a literal, rational way, quite different from the more mystical allegorical approach of premodern spirituality... Muslim thinkers produced an anti-imperalism ideology that was in tune with other Third World movements of their times... [The ultra-orthodox Jews] who seemed to turn their backs on modern society ... adopted a novel stringency in their observance of the Torah, and learned to manipulate the political system in a way that brought them more power than any religious Jew had enjoyed for nearly two millennia.”

This statement gives an impression that if one takes off violence from the equation, agenda of Islamists i.e. bringing world under sharia is humane and genuine. At the end of the day what Ms Chisthi is saying that non-Muslims deserved to be humiliated and subjugated in the larger interest of humanity or these terrorists are no different from other fundamentalists.

Ms Chisthi's quoting of Karen Armstrong's reasoning shows her side of antisemitism - another tolerant feature of Islam and antisemitism is also a feature common to leftist (communist) ideology.

If we go by views of Karen Armstrong, we all are seeing and hearing every day that those orthodox jews are stoning their women to death for adultery, imposing all kinds of prohibitions on their women and also are engaged in a world wide war to make Torah supreme law or those Bible thumpers are blowing themselves up !!!

Reasoning of Karen Armstrong, in the last few lines, is similar to the reasoning used by Hilter and Nazis for holocaust.

Nonie Darwish (A Former Muslim): Solving poverty of Muslims - The Islamic way

In my few discussions with Muslims on net about Islam, one question I put up is what was the profession of Prophet Mohammad and his companions (sahaba) during their stay in Medina for full 10 years. How did they earn their living? Silence or some stupid justifications for acts of their Prophet is the normal reaction from Muslims. The correct answer is plundering trade caravans of non-Muslims(Meccans) and villages through raids.

One can read about one such raid, first one, called Nakhla raid from here. One can also read following Hadith and quotes for better understanding of what Ms Darwish has written.

Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."(Sahih Bukhari; Vol. 1, Book 2,# 25)

Allah's Apostle said, "I have been given five things which were not given to any amongst the Prophets before me. These are:
1. Allah made me victorious by terror (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey.
2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum. Therefore my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due.
3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me (and was not made so for anyone else).
4. Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation exclusively but I have been sent 1o all mankind.
5. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection.)

Allah's Apostle said, "Booty has been made legal for me." (Sahih Bukhari; Vol. 4, Book 53,# 351)

We said to 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, Jo Chief of the believers! Advise us." He said, "I advise you to fulfill Allah's Convention (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet and the source of the livelihood of your dependents. (i.e. the taxes from the Dhimmis.)” (Sahih Bukhari; Vol. 4, Book 53, # 388)

Prophet Mohammad said, "Survival of my community rests on the hoofs of its horses and the points of its lances; as long as they keep from tilling the fields; once they began to do that they will become as other men."

"I will reserve comment on what is in the city I have captured", Amr ibn al-As, the conqueror of Egypt, reported to Umar [Second caliph and father-in-law of Prophet Mohammad] upon the occupation of the port town of Alexandria, " aside from saying that I have seized .... forty thousand poll tax paying Jews....". He was peremptorily ordered to ship a year's supply of food to Medina for upkeep of the Muslim community, which he dutifully did. [EFRAIM KARSH; Islamic Imperialism (A History); page 26; he referred to
(Ibn Sa'd, a'-Tabaqat al-Kubra (Cairo: Dar al-Tahrir,1968), Vol.3, pp.77,157-58)]

(Late)Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan - co-author of Noble Koran and translator of Hadith of Sahih Bukhari in to English from Arabic - writes on Jihad, in a foot note to the verse 2:190 in Noble Koran and also in introduction to the book on Jihad in Sahih Bukhari, that:

"Jihad is holy fighting in Allah’s Cause with full force of numbers and weaponry. It is given the utmost importance in Islam and is one of its pillars. By Jihad Islam is established, Allah’s Word is made superior (which means only Allah has the right to be worshiped), and Islam is propagated. By abandoning Jihad Islam is destroyed and Muslims fall into an inferior position; their honor is lost, their lands are stolen, their rule and authority vanish. Jihad is an obligatory duty in Islam on every Muslim. He who tries to escape from this duty, or does not fulfill this duty, dies with one of the qualities of a hypocrite."

All this also can be viewed from the background of Prophet Mohammad planned and executed 84 wars (or raids) in 9 years which turns in to one per every 6 weeks. But the real problem is with Koran saying about Prophet Mohammad that he is an example for all Muslims to follow for eternity and is the perfect human (ideal man) in the history of mankind. And this what Nonie Darwish also mentions.

A well known Islamic leader in Egypt by the name of Abu Ishak Al Huweini, who often appears on Egyptian TV, has recently said the following in Arabic and I have translated it into English:
“We are at a time of Jihad; Jihad for the sake of Allah is a pleasure, a true pleasure. Mohammed’s followers used to compete to do it. The reason we are poor now is because we have abandoned jihad. If only we can conduct a jihadist invasion at least once a year or if possible twice or three times, then many people on Earth would become Muslims. And if anyone prevents our dawa or stands in our way, then we must kill them or take as hostage and confiscate their wealth, women and children. Such battles will fill the pockets of the Mujahid who can return home with 3 or 4 slaves, 3 or 4 women and 3 or 4 children. This can be a profitable business if you multiply each head by 300 or 400 dirham,. This can be like financial shelter whereby a jihadist, in time of financial need, can always sell one of these heads (meaning slavery). No one can make that much money in one deal (from hard work) even if a Muslim goes to the West to work or do trade. In time of need, that is a good resource for profit.”

When I heard this audio message, I could not believe my ears. This is nothing short of barbaric and medieval preaching by a powerful Muslim leader in Egypt who has access to public TV and the ears of millions. This sheikh, who is at least honest and unapologetic about what jihad means, is also promoting the true model and example of the prophet Mohammed in the 7th and what he did to non-Muslims, as an example for all Muslims to follow today. Isn’t that the role of a prophet, to be the example to his followers?

It is difficult for Muslims to run away from their religious history, which is documented over and over again in Islamic books. Mohammed himself said, probably with pride, that he was made wealthy through terror. That preacher is just a good follower of Islam and that is why he is advocating the same kind of behavior. Hey, the plan made Mohammed rich, so why not let it be the formula for all Muslims today? What used to be whispered about Mohammed’s behavior and only discussed among the learned men of Islam is openly advocated today in public in a world where the ugly truth can no longer be hidden.

This audio has shocked some Muslims who are in denial about the history of Islam and the true meaning of jihad, which is defined as a war against non-Muslims to establish the religion and after the fight seize their property, women, children, enslave them and sell them like cattle. According to pure Muslims, what was the model for Muslims in the 7th century is now their model in the 21st century.

In another segment posted on youtube the same sheikh, Al Huweini, blamed Christians for all the violence going on today in Egypt. According to him, it is Christians who are responsible for their own murder, robbing and burning of their churches, businesses and homes. At a time of civil unrest in Egypt, Muslim preachers are openly promoting violence against non-Muslims. This sheikh is not the only one, but the internet is full of others with a similar shameless twisted message. One other Salafi Egyptian sheikh announced that he will not leave a church without searching by force to take out a couple of Christian women whom they allege having converted to Islam. The fact that these women made statements to the contrary and that one is married to a Coptic priest does not matter to the Muslim preachers or the mob. They want to take her out and annul her marriage to a Christian, which is allowed under Islamic law. Jihadists are never out of outrageous excuses to do their dirty work.

His brilliant economic advice to the interim government was again inspired by the example of the prophet Mohammed whom he said had forced the collection of zakat (meaning Alms) on the people. He added that this should provide the government with billions of pounds if they force citizens to pay the zakat directly to the government. He then added that after Mohammed died, the people of Arabia stopped paying the zakat to the Khalifa who followed Mohammed, which forced him to fight his people to get them pay the zakat back.

Is it any wonder why all Muslim countries are an economic basket case and if it was not for oil, even Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Emirates would be among the poorest nations on earth?

Malaysian Muslim women launch obedient wife club

Prophet Mohammad said that devout and good Muslim women are those who maintain chastity and are obedient to their husbands (also the verse 4:34). Prophet further said that a woman can not serve Allah with out carrying the right of her husband. In fact, when a Muslim woman dies she will go to heaven if only her husband is pleased with her.

In April, a Muslim MP in Malaysia said that Muslim men are having extra marital relations because women(wives) are neglecting their duty and are not obedient (here):

Malaysian men have extramarital sex because of “wives who neglect their responsibilities” to their husbands, a Malaysian lawmaker told Parliament on Thursday, outraging women’s groups.
“Husbands driving home after work see things that are sexually arousing and go to their wives to ease their urges,” said independent lawmaker Ibrahim Ali, according to online portal Malaysiakini.
“But when they come home to their wives, they will say, ‘wait, I’m cooking,’ or ‘wait, I’m getting ready to visit relatives’,” Ibrahim said.
“In Islam, wives are supposed to stop everything to fulfill their husband’s demands.”

So now, we have some Muslim women in Malaysia volonteering to help Muslim women being more obedient to their husbands so that their husbands do not go astray and they formed a club for this purpose.

Maznah Taufik said "The Obedient Wife Club" being launched Saturday is aimed at drawing women who will be taught how to please their husbands better to prevent them from straying or misbehaving.

"We just want to ask all the wives to be obedient wives so that there will be fewer problems in our society," such as infidelity, divorce and domestic violence, she told AFP.

"Obedient wife means they are trying to entertain their husbands, not only taking care of their food and clothes," Maznah said. "They have to obey their husbands. That's the way Islam also asks."

Malaysia is a Muslim-majority country, with some 60 percent of the population practicing the religion, alongside large ethnic Chinese and Indian communities who are mostly Buddhist, Hindu and Christian.

According to local media, the country's divorce rate doubled from 2002 to 2009, with rates higher among Muslims than non-Muslims.

Maznah said it was also the men's responsibility to teach their wives to be obedient.

"Some wives, they just want to get married for leisure but they don't know the responsibility," she said.

"To entertain their husbands is compulsory. If she doesn't do this, the husband will look for another woman... and the house will break down."..........

LeT threatens Hindus of massacres if they make pilgrimage to Amaranath shrine

LeT (Lashkar-e-Toiba) has threatened Hindus on making any pilgrimage to Amaranath and Vaishno Devi shrines in Jammu and Kashmir. Lets ask what big difference this makes to Hindus and also how different it is from present situation and policies of present Govt.. Below is the brief summary w.r.t. Kashmir:

1. Hindus and Sikhs have been expelled from valley 20 years back.

2. Recently, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir has literally imposed Jizya tax on Hindu pilgrims to Amaranath cave shrine; yet, our central Govt. under Congress and Ms Sonia, which gives highest importance to principle of secularism, neither said anything nor did anything with regard to this Jizya tax. Then, secularism in India is for Hindus only. To question this Jizya tax will only invite the label of communal from our secular media (here).

3. The same Govt., J and K, has kicked out a Christian pastor - who is living there since 1963 - from valley on the charges that he is proselytizing. This too has not raised any outrage from secularists or intellectuals or liberals. But a second look tells it may not be their fault completely because media simply has not reported this. But one can only imagine how the reaction will be from media, pseudo secularists and liberal terrorists if some BJP state Govt. has expelled some Christian missionary (here or here).

4. J and K Govt. has literally blocked BJP leaders from hoisting National flag in Sri Nagar on republic day with complete support from Central Govt. (here). The attempt of BJP was labelled as communal by various political parties and media commentators. The actions of J & K Govt. as in (2) and (3) are not communal but hoisting flag is communal according to these enlightened people and opinion makers! All this means we Indians unofficially have approved and stamped Islamic imperialism over non-Muslims. Sentiments of Muslims are above laws and constitution.

5. So, how does Govt. address some of these inequities like Jizya on pilgrimage to Hindu shrines? Get a phony Swamy like Agnivesh - created by self serving media, Congress(I) and Ms Sonia - to do its job! Far from getting Jizya on Hindus removed, it is telling Hindus, through the ugly mouth of Agnivesh, that pilgrimage to Amaranath and Vaishno Devi shrines is not important, in fact pilgrimage is ridiculous (here). Probably, only in India such logic can be sold and people and media buy it with aplomb. Yet again, up-holding a law is not important but Hindus adjusting to Islamic imperialism is the proper course.

This is the standard procedure all over the world: whether Muslims are in minority or majority, it is for non-Muslims to make adjustments with Islamic culture of imperialism like Muslims demanding imposition of sharia. No wonder then, Islamic organizations make such outrageous demands and indulge in large scale violence against non-Muslims.

Two letters threatening that terror group Lashkar-e-Toiba(LeT) will blow up key temples in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on June 5 to avenge the killing of al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden were received by police on Tuesday.

One letter warns Hindus against undertaking pilgrimage to Amarnath cave and Mata Vaishno Devi shrines in Jammu and Kashmir.

One of the letters, which were purported to have been written by LeT Area Commander Karim Ansari, warns Hindus against undertaking pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave and Mata Vaishno Devi shrines in Jammu and Kashmir.

SP Kamaljeet Singh Dhillon said he had been given the letters which were first received by the Mahant of local Sheetla Mata Mandir Kamal Kishor.

Another letter threatens that 8 important temples of Himachal Pradesh and several important temples of Punjab, including Hanuman Garhi Madir, Sheetla Mata Mandirs of Phagwara and Kapurthala, Shri Kali Mata Mandir of Patiala and Durgiana Mandir of Amritsar will be targeted with bombs.

The letters claim Lashkar-e-Toiba activists have entered Punjab which would be made the first target for taking revenge of bin Laden s death.

The letters warn certain prominent Hindu leaders were on the target of LeT and there will be largescale bloodshed of Hindus and Sikhs. They especially mention the names of Shiv Sena Presidents of Kapurthala, Patiala and Amritsar districts.

"If this warning is not heeded, then Hindus and Sikhs would be massacred," added the letter.

What is PFI (Popular Front of India)? It is an organization based on Islam.

Former CM of Kerala, a Communist, said that it wants to turn Kerala in to a Muslim majority state (here or here). {Pamphlets of PFI read," ....no force could prevent installation of an Islamic rule in the country if hard work was put up to secure this goal..."}

It has boasted about its efforts to make India an Islamic republic (here).

Former CM Achutanand was ridiculed for saying such thing and his observations, however, based on pamphlets confiscated by police, were taken as insult to all Muslims implying that Muslim organizations are not wrong in having such objectives but it is communalism if others report such incidents or to be more accurate others are criminals for opposing Islamic fascism.

In all this, present CM of Kerala proclaimed, when he was the opposition minister, that his party will co-operate in curtailing activities of PFI (here). Or even IUML, an ally of secular Congress, called PFI anti Islamic party (here).

Now the question is what Mr CM is going to do now - since he is in power now - to curtail its activities in the wake of more dangerous revelations about PFI? Is Mr CM going to ban PFI? Will IUML support banning PFI? I think we all know the answer.

NEW DELHI: Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI has reportedly claimed to have helped French authorities bust a major terror network. Mohammad Niaz who was arrested in Paris last week is believed to be the Indian link to the Al Qaeda - someone agencies believe is also recruiting members for the Popular Front's French arm.

Indian national Mohammed Niaz Abdul Rashid was arrested in Paris for his alleged al Qaeda connection. Authorities in Paris have so far remained tight lipped about what charges they would slap against Niaz but Indian investigators say Niaz was trying to set up a branch of this organisation - the Popular Front of India in France.

Sources have told CNN-IBN that Niaz has been in France since 2008 and was on a recruitment drive to create the Popular Front of France.

Two people from France, four French of Moroccan origin, one of Turkish origin and one Pakistani French national were part of his core group.

Sources in the Indian security establishment say this group had access to PFI literature which was being used to convince young men to join their organization............

67% of people of Pakistan want Islamization of Pakistan. 20% have no opinion. Only 13%, mostly secular liberals and minorities, oppose Islamization. These are the results of a Gallup poll (Gallup Pakistan).

No wonder then that Hindus have disappeared from Pakistan and Christians are on the way to extermination too (read this too).

Even then, our Prime Minister says India and Pakistan should fight the menace of Islamic terrorism and 'Taliban like elements' together. Such is the grasp of our politicians and our security establishment. More importantly our pathetic school of intellectuals (comprising journalists and historians) will never really see what this 'Islamization' means as for them Islam has right to be what it wants but Hindus and Hinduism are just elements of fascism. 67pc want Islamisation of society

LAHORE – As many as 67 per cent people of Pakistan want the government take steps for Islamisation, a clear indication that for whatever reasons they have lost faith in the existing system.

According to a survey carried out by Gilani Research Foundation, 31 per cent people want the government take the required steps at once. However, 48 per cent think that the needed steps should be taken one by one. People approached for survey had been asked: “In your opinion should the government take steps to Islamise the society?” These findings clearly mean that the claims made by various elements that Pakistan should be a secular state are totally baseless and contrary to the wishes of the people.

This is a unique kind of survey carried out by an organization (Gallup Pakistan) in a society where more than 90 per cent people are Muslims, no matter which sect they belong to. That 31 per cent people want ‘immediate’ steps for Islamisation means that they are totally disappointed with the ability of the existing system to solve their problems and want to switch over to the Islamic system, for the sake of which the country had been created in 1947.

According to the survey, 48 per cent people are for a gradual approach. In other words, they want the government to take the required steps one by one.

Without any iota of doubt, these people also pin their hopes on the Islamic system, but want it introduced gradually, which, ostensibly, means that no hasty step should be taken which had the potential to backfire.

Thirteen per cent of those approached for their opinions said there was no need for Islamization. Such people could be secularists, liberals or of the minority communities...........

TEHRAN - Basij Commander Mohammad-Reza Naqdi has said that the United States is setting the stage for the future dominance of Islam over the world by its own hands.

“The United States, through expanding communications, is developing the infrastructures for the universal reign of Islam. Expansion of communications in the world has provided a historic opportunity for the faster and wider propagation of the Islamic Revolution and the thoughts of the Late Imam (Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic) throughout the world and (the opportunity) must be used appropriately,” Naqdi stated in Tehran on Sunday.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Basij commander made a mockery of U.S. President Barack Obama’s recent call for Israel to halt its settlement activity in the West Bank and said, “Our recommendation to the Zionists is that they push ahead with their settlement activity in the occupied territories, regardless of the U.S. president’s remarks so that the Palestinians, who will return to their homeland soon, would not face housing problems.”

Naqdi also said, “Today the world’s nations have chosen the Islamic Republic as their leader, and as the first step, Muslims in the region will soon bring the borders of the Middle East back to the lines set before 1919.”

He was referring to the Paris Peace Conference of 1919, organized by the victors of World War I to negotiate the peace treaties between the Allied and Associated Powers and the defeated Central Powers, which led to the conclusion of a number of peace treaties that reshaped the map of Europe and the world.

In addition, Naqdi announced that a new branch of the Basij organization, made up of members from the engineering graduates in the field of information and communication technology, will be established in the near future.

Sure, some ignorant people will come up with 2 or 3 names but a simple google check on these give a contradictory situation existing on ground. It is pertinent to recall that OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) - a representative body of 57 Muslim majority nations - declared in the year 1991 that their source of laws will be Sharia law and Sharia law will be the ultimate arbitrator in resolving issues. Sharia law effectively bans propagation of any other faith, construction or reparation of churches or temples and celebration of non-Islamic festivals in public etc.

Washington -- International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that an Algerian Christian was sentenced to five years imprisonment for blasphemy in Oran on Wednesday after sharing his Christian faith with a neighbor. The verdict came days after authorities forced the permanent closure of seven Protestant churches in Algeria's Béjaia province.

Siagh Krimo was charged by the Criminal Court of the Djamel District in Oran, who based their decision on Article 144 bis 2 of the Penal Code which criminalizes acts that "insult the prophet and any of the messengers of God, or denigrate the creed and precepts of Islam, whether by writing, drawing, declaration, or any other means." Krimo has ten days to appeal the sentence.

Krimo, who is married with a nine month old child, was arrested on April 14, along with another Christian, Sofiane, after sharing his Christian faith with a neighbor. Sofiane was released soon after the arrest, while Krimo was detained for three days. Krimo was known to hold weekly prayer services at his home, which Algerian Christians suspect were being closely monitored by the police........

Considering that saying anything that sheds light on intolerant nature of Islam, Muslim societies and inherent Islamic hatred towards non-Muslims is labelled as Islamophobia, this article on condition of Hindus in Pakistan under the title 'Soft Target in Pakistan:Abduction, oppression and forced conversion is fate of Hindus in Pak' is bit unusual for an entity like India Today.

Complete reading, but, conveys that the report is well with in the secular parameters of India Today because apart from mentioning certain atrocities and institutionalized discrimination against Hindus, it does not offer any significant insight or reasons behind those atrocities. In addition, it presents some half truths and dangerous reasonings. Central theme of presentation of a catalog of crimes against religious minorities in Islamic nations is the axiom that Islam and its tenets have nothing to do with such crimes as Islam teaches tolerance!

Sure, report mentions some crimes like abduction of girls and use of blasphemy law by Muslims against their Hindu competitors but it almost tries to portray that reasons for this crimes are 'so called' atrocities against Muslims in India and Indian occupation of Kashmir.

So, Muslims of Pakistan and its Govt. have no control over their actions or deeds or their policies thus, they can not be held accountable and are blameless. In short words, Hindus in India and India are responsible for events happening in Pakistan and it is duty and responsibility of India to ensure civilized behavior from Pakistan.

One can ask, "Will India Today report the crimes committed by Muslims of India in West Bengal, Kerala and Assam? Did it report on Islamic Jihad - that took place in October 2010 - in Deganga?" It can not and will not.

Lets ask India Today if it reports and publishes how those Hindus - who migrated to India - are treated by so called secular outfits like Congress and Communists in India. It will simply not.

Lot of Indian media esp. English is distrusted and loathed by educated and English speaking Indian middle class which is also their main customer base; so, this base can not be neglected and publishing of such thrash report is their version of proof for showing they are not anti-Hindu.

In March, Poonam, a 13-year-old Hindu girl kidnapped last year, was forced to convert in the Lyari area of Karachi in Pakistan's Sindh province. Her parents were stunned by the influence the maulvis (Islamic scholars) had over their daughter. "She was very scared. She told us that she was now going to live with them as a Muslim," Poonam's uncle, Bhanwroo, 61, told India Today. Poonam is now Mariam.

No one protested against Poonam's conversion because almost every Hindu family in Lyari has endured religious persecution for years. Kidnapping is routine in Pakistan. But what has shaken the 2.7 million-strong Hindu community in a nation of 168 million Muslims are recent forced conversions of young girls. Many see the incidents as a conspiracy to drive Hindus out of Pakistan.

According to 1998 reports, Hindu population is about1.6% of population of Pakistan. This figure of 2.7 million Hindus in present day Pakistan is highly unrealistic.

"We are very worried. We have started sending our young children either to India or to other countries. We are also planning to migrate soon," says 46-year-old Sanao Menghwar from Nawab Shah in Sindh province. He has reason to panic. Research done by local agencies says that on average 25 Hindu girls are kidnapped and converted every month in Pakistan.

Hindus comprised nearly 15 per cent of the country's population in 1947. Now, they are a mere 2 per cent. Many have left, many more have been killed, and others have converted to survive. Hindus are allowed to vote only in separate electorates and are not allowed to register marriages. Of the 428 temples in the country, only 26 are functioning, says Jagmohan Kumar Arora, 60, community head in Rawalpindi. To make matters worse, the Shamshan Ghat in Rawalpindi, used by Hindus and Sikhs to perform last rites, was demolished on July 19, 2010. "How would the Muslims feel if their mosques were demolished to build homes," asks Arora.

Yet again, it is a miserable half truth. Regarding population of Hindus, it is better to read words of Jamaat-e-Islaami from here.

Following the riots after Babri Masjid's demolition in India, attacks on Hindus have only increased; Hindus in Pakistan are routinely affected by communal incidents in India and violent developments in Kashmir. A 2005 report by the National Commission for Justice and Peace, a non-profit organisation in Pakistan, found that Pakistan Studies textbooks have been used to inculcate hatred towards Hindus. "Vituperative animosities legitimise military and autocratic rule, nurturing a siege mentality. Pakistan Studies textbooks are an active site to represent India as a hostile neighbour," the report stated. "The story of Pakistan's past is intentionally written to be distinct from, and often in direct contrast with, interpretations of history found in India. From these government-issued textbooks, students are taught that Hindus are backward and superstitious," the report stated.

In the beginning of this post itself, I talked about attributing this kind of logic to atrocities committed on Hindus and its wider implications. Regarding hatred being taught in schools, actually one just has to read Koran or any main line exegesis. Obviously, studying Koran can not be faulted!!!

Pervez Hoodbhoy, 61, a prominent Pakistani scholar, says the "Islamisation" of Pakistan's schools began in 1976 when an Act of Parliament required all government and private schools (except those teaching the British O-levels from Grade 9) to follow a curriculum for the Grade 5 social studies class that includes topics such as: "Acknowledge and identify forces that may be working against Pakistan", "Make speeches on jihad" and "India's evil designs against Pakistan".

The rational of Hindus as backward, enemies of Allah, Islam and Muslims [Koran says these regarding non-Muslims] and as violent ['superstitious' brings this notion] justifies all violence against Hindus. Once your enemy is presented as subhuman or as inferior vermin or as evil, it becomes easier to direct unlimited violence against Hindus as fight against evil is a virtue and always glorified and encouraged. What is more enlightening is Koran unambiguously tells Muslims that they are the best and superior.

"In Karachi alone, Hindu girls are kidnapped on a routine basis," Amarnath Motumal, an activist and council member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, told India Today. "People are scared. The kidnappings and conversions are done by influential people of the region. The victims prefer to remain silent to save their lives."

Agrees Bherulal Balani, a former member of the provincial assembly. He says Hindu girls mostly belong to the lower castes. Officials say the attacks have increased in interior Sindh during the last three months. At least nine incidents, ranging from forced conversions to rape and murder, have been reported from the region.

In one incident, a 17-year-old girl was gangraped in Nagarparker area while in another incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from Aaklee village and forced to convert. The Aaklee incident prompted an instant migration of about 71 Hindu families to Rajasthan. Members of the Hindu community in Kotri town in Sindh province recently protested against the kidnapping of four teenagers, Anita, Kishni, Ajay and Sagar.

The plight of Hindus in Pakistan came to light in January this year when Lakki Chand Garji, 82, a Hindu spiritual leader and an official of the Kala Mata temple in Kalat district of Baluchistan province, was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from his home. He was released in April after a ransom of Rs 50 crore was paid, but the case remains unresolved till date.

Alarmed by the discrimination against the Hindu community, Pakistani lawmaker Marvi Memon, 43, who belongs to the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), has criticised what she calls a total failure of the government. Memon, the only lawmaker to protest against the discrimination, says, "The tragedy is that as a result of these kidnappings, many Hindu families have migrated to India. After all, it is better to live in another country than in perpetual fear in Pakistan. It has become routine for Hindus to be humiliated at the hands of the influential Muslim community in Pakistan." She recalls an incident of several members of the Hindu community being attacked and forced out of their homes in Sindh after Dinesh, a Hindu boy, drank water from a facility meant for Muslims. "He was beaten up badly," says Meerumal, Dinesh's father, who witnessed the attack.

Years of keeping a low profile have affected the sense of identity of the Hindus. "They have become a people without a true identity," says Memon, adding "if there is no awareness and concern for the Hindus of Pakistan, they will remain a voiceless people and eventually cease to exist."

Is it really such a concern? There may be some Muslims in Pakistan who are concerned about disappearance of Hindus from Pakistan because for them to feel superior requires presence of inferiors i.e Hindus.

In Peshawar, 62-year-old Jagdish Bhatti's long stint in the army was no insurance against discrimination. His sons Ramesh and Lal had to adopt Muslim names for jobs. Ramesh (now Ahmed Chohan) works in a private multinational bank and Lal (Nadeem Chohan) is a supervisor in a food warehouse owned by the municipal authority in Peshawar district.

"Throughout our educational career, we enjoyed a good relationship with our Muslim teachers and classmates. However, we were shocked when we were told to adopt Muslim names to get jobs," Ramesh Bhatti told india today.

What remains unrealized, tragically, today is the fact that Islam can never be appeased or be persuaded to co-existence of all faiths on basis of equality and respect. It seeks only one position: dominance of Islam and utter and ruthless subjugation of other faiths.

Members of the Hindu community in Larkana in Sindh province recall the tragic tale of Sundri, an 18-year-old college student. One day in 2004, Sundri did not come back home after classes. After a long search, her family went to the police. Two weeks later, the police informed the family that Sundri had eloped with Kamal Khan, an employee of a local transport company, and converted to Islam. Sundri's parents were also informed that their daughter would soon appear in court to declare her new faith. Escorted by the police and a few men sporting long beards, Sundri appeared in court to state: "I, Sundri, was born of Hindu parents. Now, as an adult, I have realised the religion I was born into is not the right one. Therefore, completely of my own accord, and without being coerced, I have decided to break away from my parents and religion, and have converted to Islam."

The judge accepted her conversion and Sundri was whisked away to an unknown location. She is learnt to have later married Khan but was divorced very soon. Subsequently, she married another Muslim from the neighbourhood. This marriage, too, ended in divorce and Sundri was married for the third time. Shortly after her third marriage, Sundri died under mysterious circumstances. Her parents believe she was murdered, while her third husband told the police that she had committed suicide. "Kidnapping Hindu girls like this has become routine. The girls are then forced to sign papers stating that they have become Muslims," says Laljee Menghwar, a member of the Hindu panchayat in Karachi.

Kidnapping of Hindu girls serves double purpose of Islam i.e. humiliation of infidels - here Hindus - and advancement of Islam with dent in population of Hindus with their women giving birth to Muslim children.

Last year, 27-year-old Jagdesh Kumar, a factory worker, was killed in Karachi by Muslim colleagues on the charge of blasphemy. The police and factory management made no attempt to stop the attackers from killing Kumar, who was reportedly in love with a Muslim girl.

Islam allows Muslim men marrying non-Muslim women while it ruthlessly bans Muslim women marrying non-Muslim men. Sharia law awards death penalty to such non-Muslim men who dare to marry or approach to marry Muslim women. The simple law of Islam is that what advances Islam against others is considered good and what impedes advancement of Islam is considered as bad.

In September 2010, Ashok Kumar, 32, an income tax inspector in Hyderabad in Sindh , went to collect tax return forms from shopowners. Instead of complying, one of the shopkeepers alleged that Kumar had threatened to grab him by his beard. Within minutes, the shopkeepers took out a procession, demanding that Kumar be taught a lesson. This was followed by a two-day strike. Kumar was not only suspended from his job, he was also jailed after a case of "blasphemy" was registered against him. "Since then he and his family are missing," says a source.

In the same month, Dr Kanhaiya Lal, 52, an eye specialist, was kidnapped in Larkana. He was released following a ransom payment of Rs 5 lakh. Another Hindu, Darshan Lal, 50, was killed in Badah town in Larkana district when he resisted attempts to abduct him. At least 23 prominent Hindu men have been kidnapped from Sukkur in the past few years.

Police officials told India Today on condition of anonymity that many Hindus pay regular bhatta (protection money) to different groups of extortionists. Hindus in Pakistan contend that their insecurity is compounded by the apathy of the administration and the judiciary.

The Islamic name for this so called 'protection money' is Jizya which was paid by Hindus in Indian subcontinent for many centuries. Under Islamic law (or rule), a non-Muslim has to pay Jizya if he chooses to continue in his ancestral faith instead of converting to Islam. The third choice is death. A non-Muslim living under Islamic law -paying Jizya - is called dhimmi. Islamic law provides security to this dhimmi if he respects and abides by various and other rules of Islamic law (Sharia law) which reduce the status of non-Muslims (dhimmis) to second / third/ / fourth class citizens. This contract (covenant) is called dhimma. Under this, a non-Muslim is never equal to Muslim in all aspect of life whether be social, political, religious or judicial; Muslim is always superior and a non-Muslim is always an inferior; worth of life of a Muslim is more than the worth of life of a non-Muslim. When Muslims say Islam teaches tolerance, this is what they mean; tolerance coming after agreeing to pay Jizya and live in humiliating conditions as Islam says disbelief in Allah and his religion Islam is vilest form of corruption.

"From the first Indo-Pak war to the demolition of the Babri Masjid, Hindus in Pakistan have been perceived as enemies and persecuted," says an Islamabad-based political analyst, requesting anonymity. He cites the recent incident of a Hindu businessman's spat with a local editor after the former refused the editor's demand for a car. The daily carried an editorial the next day, dubbing the businessman an Indian agent supplying arms to terrorists. Says a Hindu businessman in Kandhkot city of Sindh: "For 50 years, we have been addressed as 'vaaniyo' or 'baniya', which in these parts is a pejorative." Calling for an end to institutionalised discrimination, the Scheduled Caste Rights Movement of Pakistan (SCRM) has demanded passage of a law allowing Hindu marriage registration. A Pakistan Supreme Court ruling of November 23, 2010, ordered the government to prepare a law to legalise Hindu marriages. The scrm warned that inaction would force them to launch a nationwide signature campaign to highlight the issue.

Hindu women have routinely complained of discrimination regarding Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC). "If we cannot produce marriage registration certificates, we are not entitled to get a CNIC which, in turn, denies us the right to vote. Despite the Supreme Court's ruling in our favour, no measures have been taken," says Sangeeta Devi, 45, from Karachi. She has been at the forefront of the campaign demanding registration of Hindu marriages.

Says Shami Mai, 34, a Hindu woman who lives in Rahim Yar Khan in south Punjab: "In case of separation or domestic violence, a Hindu woman cannot complain because she does not have any document. If she is unable to tell the court who her husband is, why would the court react to her crisis?"

Something as basic as travel can pose problems for Hindu women. "If we stay at a hotel, policemen and hotel staff mistreat us. We end up spending nights on footpaths," complains Naina Bai, 37, from Islamabad.

If the hallmark of a nation is how it treats its minorities, perhaps Pakistan's title as a failed state is well deserved.

If treatment of religious minorities is considered as yard stick, all Islamic nations can be considered as failed states. To be more precise, Islam is intolerant towards others.

Honorable Iranian minister didn't leave out India, an example of secularism, from Islam's ultimate achievement. And, this is what vast majority of Muslims, in India or outside, do believe in i.e. the whole world being ruled under sharia law for the simple reason being that Allah says so in Koran in number of Koranic verses (9:33, 61:09, 48:28) and also the knowledge of many Muslims actively involved in Jihad [violent or stealth(peaceful) jihad like love jihad, immigration and high birth rates].

“The recent events … show that the future of the world, including [that of] the US and Europe, belongs to Islam,” Moslehi said at a conference in the central Iranian city of Karaj on Thursday.

The intelligence minister pointed to the recent popular revolutions in Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen and other anti-government uprisings across the Arab world and argued that all of these movements are of Islamic nature, inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Moslehi referred to the West's “confusion” over the wave of the Islamic awakening, saying Western countries try to attribute the movements to “non-Islamic” roots.

The recent visits by US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to different parts of the world, particularly to the Middle Eastern countries, are aimed at “preventing further losses to the US interests in the region,” he added.

Moslehi called on regional heads of states, especially Saudi officials, not to follow the US path, because they themselves will eventually “get entangled with the Islamic awakening.”

In recent months, a wave of revolutions and anti-government uprisings has swept the Arab world.

In January, a revolution in Tunisia ended the 23-year ruling of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

In February, another revolution led to the ouster of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak after three decades of authoritarian rule.

Other revolutions have erupted in Libya, Yemen and Bahrain, while more anti-government upheavals have swept Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and Algeria.

Meanwhile, more Arab countries are expected to witness similar revolts.

Surge in abduction of Christian girls in Egypt

Abul Fazl, in Akbar Nama, says that many Muslim officers used to proceed to the villages and mahals to sack Hindus. In these sackings, normally the women and children were driven away. In Akbar’s reign it became a fashion to raid a village or a group of villages without any obvious justification, and carry off the inhabitants as slaves.’ (India at the Death of Akbar, Low Price Publications, New Delhi, page 92)

It is no wonder then that Abdulla Khan Uzbeg, a general of Akbar, had boastfully declared: ‘I made prisoners of five lacs (500,000) of men and women and sold them. They all became Muhammadans. From their progeny, there will be crores (one crore = ten million) by the Day of Judgment.’ (K.S.Lal (1994), p. 73)

It is a core policy and a principle of Islam from the time of Islam's Prophet to the present day to make infidel women as sex slaves and from their progeny future Muslim warriors [This is how Ottoman Caliphate came in to existence]. In many Muslim countries, like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt and in India too, abduction of non-Muslim women goes un checked. This practice quite very well serves Islam as it humiliates non-Muslims - just like Koran commanded them to - and it eliminates females of childbearing years from the gene pool of non-Muslims - along with a dent in population of non-Muslims - and forces them to produce Muslim offspring (children) instead.

Coming to Egypt, it was never a secular country and this kind of abduction of Coptic girls always took place; with the end of Mubarak's regime and possibility of Islamists coming to power, this kind of activities i.e. violence against Coptics will only increase.

Amid the upheavals in Egypt since January, reports have begun to emerge of a surge in disappearances of Coptic girls.

One priest in Cairo estimates that at least 21 young girls, many as young as 14, have disappeared from his parish alone.

In most cases, when a Christian girl who disappears is found by her family, she has been converted to Islam and married. The Coptic authorities, have even set up a series of refuges in monasteries to handle the growing numbers of girls who wish to return to their families, many of whom are not accepted by their family of origin.

But a worse problem for these women is that their conversion to Islam is irreversible.

Religion is stated on Egyptian ID documents and even though secular law provides for reversions, under the growth of sharia they are very difficult, except for those affording legal advocacy.

This situation is not unique to Egypt. There have been consistent reports of girls being coerced into Islamic conversion and marriage in India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

That many of these girls are initially runaways is not in doubt. However, there is also evidence that a huge number are converted and married against their will.

The situation was documented in a controversial report published in 2009 on conversion and forced marriage of Coptic women by Washington DC-based Christian Solidarity International. The authors are Washington academic Michele Clark and Egyptian Coptic broadcast journalist Nadia Ghaly, based in Melbourne.

Between 2005 and 2008 they interviewed and documented 50 Egyptian women, mostly aged between 14 and 25, who had decided to return to their families. All claim to have been tricked, coerced or raped, converted to Islam and married. Most of the interviewees were trying to reconvert to their Christian identity, with limited or no success. The report's conclusions were printed in several major publications, including Forbes magazine.

Since the so-called Arab Spring, and the ensuing riots at Christian churches, the authors are trying to bring the subject of forced conversion and marriage to greater prominence.

Both groups live extremely closed, highly traditional separate lives and the norms surrounding marriage and sex are almost medieval, says Ghaly.

So, for example, it is not unheard of for a young Christian girl from a poor family to run away from an arranged marriage. Yet a high proportion of these women claim coercion, even rape, despite the shame that such a claim will cause if the girl wishes to return.

Many claim they were kept as virtual slaves. Others who were able to leave could not bring their children. Ghaly claims this is more than overt religious oppression, and amounts to "a form of cultural genocide".

She cites a document published by Human Rights Watch in November 2007, which says that even if Coptic women can obtain a divorce from their Muslim husband, those who wish to return to Christianity "meet with refusal and harassment from the Civil Status Department of the Ministry of Interior".

Under sharia law, reconversion is considered apostasy punishable by death.

Islamic leaders of Malaysia question rights of non-Muslims

About 60% of population in Malaysia is Muslim and its constitution declares Islam as official religion. It also prohibits propagation of other religions to Muslims; Muslims converting to another is religion is effectively banned while non-Muslims can convert to Islam.

Besides these, other privileges or special rights also were given to Muslims over non-Muslims (here) constitutionally.

The Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) clarifies that, firstly, Islam rejects religious pluralism which claims that all religions are equally true and equally good (here).

Recently, Malaysian govt. confiscated Bibles printed in Malay because they were using the word Allah (which is in usage by Malaysian Christians for centuries), which ultimately lead to protests from Christians, who constitute about10% of population.

...................... Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement (Abim) deputy president, Dr Mohd Rumaizuddin Ghazali, also stressed that Malaysia must never become a secular state.

“This is why many non-Muslim politicians want to declare the country as a secular state because then the government will not have fund religious programmes.

“They are scared that if we accept Malaysia as an Islamic state then there are many implications which means that only Muslims have the right to lead the country,” he said.

Mohd Rumaizuddin added that the Malays are beginning to be trampled on and non-Muslims are starting to take advantage of the community.

“Because of politics, we are still not free after more than 50 years of independence,” he said.

Hizbut Tahrir Malaysia president Abdul Hakim Othman added the country’s constitution must be replaced as it has been stained by the colonial British.

“A Caliphate state is based on divine revelation. It is not a democratic or a theocratic state. It is only an Islamic state when the constitution is based on the Quran and prophetic traditions,” he said.

Even in the face of institutionalized discrimination towards non-Muslims, only Muslims can boast about tolerance. Or, they intend to make dhimmi covenant fully applied.

Islamic Paradise, Houris and Sex

People might be wondering why Muslims alone carry out so many suicide bombings (or missions) so often killing themselves and also others, considered as infidels in their language. One might contemplate the motivations behind such acts! Sure, there are many reasons behind such acts and one such is attaining entry in to Paradise.

Also, it is not uncommon to come across some prominent Muslims declaring proudly that life in this world is not important but life in ‘hereafter’ [Life after death] is more important in Islamic view e.g. the view of the so called moderate Muslim: Imam Rauf, the brain behind $100 million mega imperial mosque in New York near ground zero.

Or who might proudly declare like this: Americans love Pepsi Cola; we (Muslims) love Death.

Or who might try to blow themselves, including young boys, up to kill others to enter paradise.

Or consider the following verse:

009.038(YUSUFALI): O you who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when you are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, you cling heavily to the earth? Do you prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.

Death, ‘hereafter’ and Paradise! For now, with out getting in to details of ‘hereafter’ lets look at the concept of Paradise as described in Koran and traditions of Prophet Mohammad (hadith). For people with critical minds, this concept of paradise in Islam explains a lot about primitiveness, shrewdness and, more importantly, psychological portrait of Prophet Mohammad.

It all starts with Muslims holding the belief that non-Muslims go to hell after death to burn there for eternity while Muslims go to Paradise. This is what Koran says and also gives graphical details about how Allah tortures non-Muslims for eternity for the simple reason that they did not worship him as laid down in Koran. It also gives graphical details about Paradise and how Muslims (men) enjoy there.

Just like many verses existing in Koran condemning non-Muslims to hell fire, Koran has plenty of verses literally telling that Muslims enter gardens of paradise:

11.023(YUSUFALI): But those who believe and work righteousness, and humble themselves before their Lord,- They will be companions of the gardens, to dwell therein for aye!
2.082(YUSUFALI): But those who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever).
4.057(YUSUFALI): But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, We shall soon admit to Gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal home: Therein shall they have companions pure and holy: We shall admit them to shades, cool and ever deepening.
4.122(YUSUFALI): But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness,- we shall soon admit them to gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,-to dwell therein for ever. Allah's promise is the truth, and whose word can be truer than Allah's?

9.072(YUSUFALI): Allah hath promised to Believers, men and women, gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein, and beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss. ……
9.089(YUSUFALI): Allah hath prepared for them gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein: that is the supreme felicity.

‘Gardens with rivers flowing beneath’ …….; sounds poetic but it is real and tangible and will get sensual too! This kind of view pervades philosophy of Islam to such an extent that Muslims are often referred to as companions of Garden while non-Muslims are referred to as companions of hell fire. Koran even gives vivid description of how Muslims, from the premises of paradise, mock non-Muslims burning in hell fire:

7.042(YUSUFALI): But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (for ever).
7.044(YUSUFALI): The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord's promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;-
7.50(YUSUFALI): The Companions of the Fire will call to the Companions of the Garden: "Pour down to us water or anything that Allah doth provide for your sustenance." They will say: "Both these things hath Allah forbidden to those who rejected Him."

The philosophy of Muslims in paradise and non-Muslims burning in hell for eternity is not just exclusivist in its beliefs of what will happen after 'death' but in real and present life too as Allah fills Koran with verses exhorting Muslims to fight in his cause and subjugate non-Muslims; as Allah declares non-Muslims as his enemies (verse 2:98), he literally tells that non-Muslims are so evil by drawing their (Muslims) attention by comparing how he rewards Muslims and punishes non-Muslims:

47.015(YUSUFALI): (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?
9.073(YUSUFALI): O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed.

Last verse is telling Muslims to fight people rejecting Islam because they were anyway condemned to hell as it tells their abode is hell. Viewed from Islamic perspective, by fighting and converting non-Muslims, Muslims are just saving non-Muslims from certain hell fire so, Muslims need not have any reservations regarding ethics in fighting non-Muslims. After all, when enemy is presented as wretched and lecherous, it becomes much easier for leaders to exhort their followers to war. Fighting even becomes humanitarian - for this 'fighting' and worshipping him, Allah lavishes everything human heart desires on this earth, including sensual pleasures on Muslims in Paradise.

According to Islamic theology - in the words of Ibn Kathir: "Allah saves Muslims from the torment of the Fire, which is a bounty itself. Added to this blessing is the fact that Muslims enter into Paradise, which has delights that no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard nor has a heart ever imagined. All this because, Muslims served Allah alone [like slaves serve their master] by worsipping Allah alone (free of shirk) and stayed away from things and acts prohibited by Allah." So, the paradise of Allah is real and physical; it is like a improved version of earth filled with delights with absence of hardships.

Most religions - probably, the purpose of very religion is - try to answer the question of purpose of life on the earth; Islam gives the simplest answer: purpose of humanity is to worship Allah alone [verse 51:56: I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.] and to enter paradise to enjoy Allah's bounty as described in Koran.

Most of the descriptions of paradise in Koran immediately follow graphical details of how non-Muslims are tortured by Allah in hell. In this article, I just presented some relevant parts from those chapters in Koran giving descriptions of paradise and I avoided hadith in the beginning i.e. I have not quoted from hadith. The verses giving descriptions of wine and houris are in red letters and italics.

This is how Chapter 78 describes paradise and those, delights and joys, that are offered in paradise:

78:031-034(YUSUFALI):
Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires;
Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;
And voluptuous women of equal age; ------- (1)
And a cup full (to the brim). ---------- (2)

So, (1) says women (houris) are on menu and 'voluptuous women' does not give the actual picture of these women! Many translations use phases like 'full breasted' or 'swelling breasts' for actual description (here, here). As one reads through, it becomes much clear that as Muslim men enter Paradise, they are wedded to beautiful women, generally called 'houris' , so that Muslim men can satisfy their desires of heart.

Classical Islamic scholar Ibn Kathir describes as: "wide-eyed maidens with fully developed breasts. The Arabic word used here is Kawa`ib . Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid and others have said that this means round breasts. They meant by this that the breasts of these girls will be fully rounded and not sagging, because they will be virgins, equal in age. This means that they will only have one age.'' We discuss this subject of 'houris' at the end of this post in detail.

(2) says wine is also on the menu! Allah prohibited Muslims from consuming alcohol on the earth! How could this be? You will get the answer below.

Chapter 37 gives more details on this Islamic paradise:

37.040-049 (YUSUF ALI):
But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,-

For them is a Sustenance determined,
Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity,
In Gardens of Felicity,
Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity):
Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain,
Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof),
Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. ------- (3)
And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). -------- (4)
As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded.

Allah allowed wine in Paradise and gives his slaves in copious amounts because wine in paradise does not have intoxicating effects, meaning no headache and madness, on residents as (3) suggests. Biological functions and metabolism in Allah's hell are completely different from earth just as Allah's hell defies all scientific laws and laws of physics on earth. Ibn Kathir describes 'wine in cups' in the following manner: "cups, jugs and the glasses will contain wine drawn from a flowing spring, not from containers that might get empty. Rather, this spring of wine flows freely; Muslims will never get headaches from this wine nor intoxicated. Rather, this wine does not affect their minds, even though it has a strong and tremendously delightful taste. Ad-Dahhak reported from Ibn `Abbas: "The wine (of this life) has four side-effects, it intoxicates, gives headaches, induces vomiting and causes excessive urine. So Allah mentioned the wine of Paradise free of these characteristics.""

Chapter 44 gives more details on appearance of houris:

44:051-056 (YUSUF ALI):
As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security,
Among Gardens and Springs;
Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other; -------(5)
So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes. ----(6)
There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security;
Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-

Fair women? Isn't Allah racist as he does not entertain the idea of black and non-white women as houris as (6) suggests? The idea of houri (women married to Muslims in Paradise) as fair is also seen in the verse 55:70 (In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;- )

Now, we come to chapter 52:

52.017-024 (YUSUF ALI):
As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,-
Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.
To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds."
They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes. ------- (7)
And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.
And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.
They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.
Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded. ------- (8)

In (7), verse 52:20, read 'join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes' as 'wed them to ....'.

From (8), we again see that Allah is allowing one of those activities he banned on the earth; here, it is lesbianism (sodomy), something which he describes as abominable crime (on earth) to the effect that he casts shower of brimstones on people (People of Lot) practicing it; and in Islamic law, sodomy (Lesbianism) is punishable by death (here). Two other verses speaking about sodomy in paradise are:

056.017 (YUSUFALI): Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness),
076.019 (YUSUFALI): And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls

Ibn Kathir on the verse 76:19 says: "Young boys from the boys of Paradise will go around serving the people of Paradise. (perpetual youth) means, 'Boys are in one state forever which they will be never changing from, they will not increase in age'. Concerning Allah's statement, (If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls.) it means, 'when you see them dispersing to fulfill the needs of their masters, their great number, their beautiful faces, handsome colors, fine clothing and ornaments, you would think that they were scattered pearls. ' There is no better quality than this, nor is there anything nicer to look at than scattered pearls in a beautiful place."

Some Muslim commentators, troubled by this kind of verses, claim that the boys mentioned about are simply servants. By using language that implies that the boys are young, fresh, virgin (well guarded pearls and hidden pearls) and beautiful (scattered pearls) leaves little room for interpretation, except of purpose of sexual pleasures, by those who seek to justify the availability of boys in the hereafter for Muslim men. Why had Allah not used older men or women, not mentioning their beauty or virginity or freshness, as servants? Simply mentioning like obedient servants would have done! Or even why (boy servants) do they have to stay ever-young and adorned in opulent dresses exhibiting splendor? But, there are many Islamic scholars who are not shy of admitting it; Late author and journalist Muhammad Galal Al-Kushk wrote:

"The men in Paradise have sexual relations not only with the women [who come from this world] and with the black-eyed, but also with the serving boys. In paradise, a believer's penis is eternally erect." (Al-Quds Al-Arabi (London), May 11, 2001.)

Chapter 56 is probably the first sura (Chapter) on giving details of heaven and hell, when Koran is seen in chronological order. It divides humanity in to 3 groups; companions of left hand definitely refers to non-Muslims while companions of right hand refers to Muslims. But the third group is also of Muslims categorized as 'foremost'; Ibn Kathir - in his tafsir - says, "this category is comprised of those who are the foremost and nearest before Allah. They are in a better grade and status and nearer to Allah than those on the right side. They are the chiefs of those on the right side, because they include the Messengers, Prophets, true believers and martyrs. They are fewer than those on the right side."

Ibn Kathir also notes that Muslims coming under the group 'companions of right hand' are lesser in rank than the group of Muslims under 'foremost'. It means all Muslims will go to paradise but suicide bombers (those who are waging Jihad) will go to better paradise.

Apart from this difference and other minor differences, there is not much difference in joys of paradise available to these groups in terms of food and women.

56.007-038(YUSUFALI):
And ye shall be sorted out into three classes.
Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand?
And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter).
These will be those Nearest to Allah:
In Gardens of Bliss:
A number of people from those of old,
And a few from those of later times.
(They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones),
Reclining on them, facing each other.
Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), -------(9)
With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains:
No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: ---(10)
And with fruits, any that they may select:
And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire.
And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- ------- (11)
Like unto Pearls well-guarded.
A Reward for the deeds of their past (life).
Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,-
Only the saying, "Peace! Peace".
The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand?
(They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns,
Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,-
In shade long-extended,
By water flowing constantly,
And fruit in abundance.
Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden,
And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high.
We have created (their Companions) of special creation. --------- (12)
And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - -------- (13)
Beloved (by nature), equal in age,-

If Chapter 56 divided Muslims in two groups where in one group is higher than other in the eyes of Allah, Chapter 55 gives an idea that there are two kinds of paradise, one better than other. Ibn Kathir tells the first garden mentioned in this chapter is for the group 'foremost' and is better and grandiose than the next one because every thing is this 'first' garden is made of gold and in the 'second' garden, every thing is made of silver. He says that vessels in the second paradise, even though they are made of silver, are crystal clear meaning what is inside of them will be visible from outside because Silver in paradise is very white and transparent. Ibn Kathir again strengthens the logic that those who died while waging Jihad will be superior in the eyes of Allah and will be in better paradise compared to other Muslims.

55.046 (YUSUFALI): But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-
55.048 : Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-
55.050 : In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);
55.052 : In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.
55.054 (: They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).
55.056 : In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- ------- (14)
55.058 : Like unto Rubies and coral. ------ (15)

55.062 (YUSUFALI): And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,-
55.064 : Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering).
55.066 : In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:
55.068 : In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates:
55.070 : In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;- --------- (16)
55.072 : Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- ------- (17)
55.074 : Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- ----- (18)
55.076 : Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty.

Chapter 76 is another chapter which describes punishment of non-Muslims in hell followed by delights of Muslims in paradise. Regarding the climate in paradise, one will get a hint from here that as Ibn Kathir says: "There will be no disturbing heat with them nor any painful cold, rather there will only be one climate that will be always and eternal and they will not want it to be changed." But one can not understand, then, why Muslims are given a drink of camphor which is for cooling (verse 76.05).

76.012-021(YUSUFALI):
And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk.
Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun's (excessive heat) nor (the moon's) excessive cold.
And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility.
And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,-
Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes).
And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,-
A fountain there, called Salsabil.
And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls.
And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent.
Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy.

Ibn Kathir explains the verses (17-18) in the following manner: "On one occasion they will be given a drink (wine) that is mixed with camphor, and it is cool. Then on another occasion they will be given a drink mixed with ginger, and it is hot. This is so that their affair will be balanced. However, those who are nearest to Allah, they will drink from all of it however they wish." "Salsabil is the name of a spring in Paradise. It is called this due to its continuous flowing and the severity of its current." And Tasnim is the name of other spring. One will contain water and other will contain wine.

Regarding the food, Koran elucidates on variety of foods available to Muslims in paradise like meat, fruits and anything a Muslim desires. For some reason, it is fruits which get lot of mention in Koran. Ibn Kathir, yet again describes, that every fruit that is available on earth is available in paradise, difference being they are better in taste and also available all the time, not depending on seasons. He even says, "Whenever Muslim attempts to get any fruit, it will come nearer to him and come down from its highest branch as if it hears and If he stands it will rise with him an equal amount, if he sits it will lower itself for him so that he can reach it and if he lies down it will lower itself for him more so that he can reach it."

With such gluttony, how will Muslims relieve themselves in paradise and what will happen to all that food? Metabolism in paradise is completely different from that of earth and there isn't any need for relieving or spitting or vomiting or urinating as following hadith describes:

I heard Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying that the inmates of Paradise would eat and drink but would neither spit, nor pass water, nor void excrement, nor suffer catarrah. It was said: Then, what would happen with food? Thereupon he said: They would belch and sweat (and it would be over with their food), and their sweat would be that of musk and they would glorify and praise Allah as easily as you breathe. (Sahih Muslim; book 40, # 6798)

Body waste through sweating! Considering possibility of lots of sweat and bad smell with it, Allah made sweat in paradise smell like or like musk. It is funny that only duty for them in paradise is praising and glorifying Allah. Hasn't Allah said that Muslims are in paradise for doing that on earth? Heaven knows who really needs that kind of praise and glorification on earth and heaven?

Finally, chapter 83 informs that wine in paradise will be mixed with musk; musk should not be in shortage as Muslims keep sweating it out.

83.022 (YUSUFALI):
Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:
On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things):
Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:
The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:

Besides wine and delicacies of food, comforts of paradise include luxuries of reclining on cushions and carpets and thrones, wearing of silk garments and being adorned with gold and silver ornaments with pearls.

It is, before proceeding further, worth mentioning that Koran is completely clue less or unclear in telling whether Muslims go to paradise immediately after death or only on the Day of the Judgment. Some hadith say that Muslims who died in Jihad will be immediately admitted to paradise while others have to wait for Day of Judgment. This proposition becomes another and added incentive to Jihadists on going on suicide bombings.

Another incentive thrown by Koran and Hadith for those dying in Jihad is that they do not have to spend any time in hell fire as Allah forgives all their past sins. Sure, every Muslim ends up in paradise but first they too will be punished by Allah in hell fire for limited time for minor sins they committed on earth as part of Allah's mercy towards Muslims.

In reverse analogy, it must give an idea to readers that, since Allah burns infidels in hell for eternity for their disbelief in Allah and Islam, how big crime this disbelief in Islam is? Koran aptly sums it up in verses 4:48 and 4:116: Disbelief in Islam is the unpardonable sin. Then, does belief in Islam leads to some spiritual enlightenment in this life or after death? For men, belief in Islam leads to orgy and one can decide whether this is enlightenment?

HOURIS

Of all joys and delights in paradise, the one promise that eclipses all these physical and real delights is the promise of beautiful women, who are of special creation and called houris, to Muslim men. Koran itself gives, as one has seen from above verses, extensive descriptions of how these houris look like and their special qualities. And then we have hadith too.

Some might think that only those Muslims who waged Jihad will be presented with houris! But above verses (14) and (16) clearly suggest that all Muslim men will get to enjoy houris. The differences between ordinary Muslims and Muslims who waged Jihad and died in Jihad is that later are in superior paradise with various Prophets as companions and two other mentioned above.

Koran starts with saying that Muslim men upon entering paradise will be wedded to houris:

So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes (44:54)
They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes. (52:20)

Other two translations use the word 'wed' in place of 'join'. From hadith, we have:

Allah's Apostle said, "The first group of people who will enter Paradise, will be glittering like the full moon and those who will follow them, will glitter like the most brilliant star in the sky. They will not urinate, relieve nature, spit, or have any nasal secretions. Their combs will be of gold, and their sweat will smell like musk. The aloes-wood will be used in their centers. Their wives will be houris. All of them will look alike and will resemble their father Adam (in statute), sixty cubits tall." (Sahih Bukhari, volume 4, book 55, #544)

Some Muslims tend to say that the women mentioned in above Koranic verses are not for sexual purposes but, Koran mentioning the word 'wed' or 'join' combined with description of their beauty and many other attributes only point to one purpose i.e. sex. Then, hadith literally referring to these houris as wives further confirms that it is all about sex.

But, how many houris every Muslim man gets to enjoy? Koran does not give any number but hadiths give the number:

Every man who enters paradise shall be given seventy two houris (wide eyed virgins); no matter at what age he had died, when he is admitted into paradise, he will become a thirty-year-old, and shall not age any further. A man in paradise shall be given virility equal to that of one hundred men. (Tirmizi vol.2) ----- (19)

Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The martyr receives six good things from Allah: he is forgiven at the first shedding of his blood; he is shown his abode in Paradise; he is preserved from the punishment in the grave; he is kept safe from the greatest terror; he has placed on his head the crown of honour, a ruby of which is better than the world and what it contains; he is married to seventy-two wives of the maidens with large dark eyes; and is made intercessor for seventy of his relatives." (MISHKAT AL-MASABIH (Hadith))

The Prophet said: “The least reward for the people of paradise is 80,000 servants and 72 wives” (Tirmizi 2562)

Allah's Apostle said, "In Paradise there is a pavilion made of a single hollow pearl sixty miles wide, in each corner of which there are wives who will not see those in the other corners; and the believers will visit and enjoy them. And there are two gardens, the utensils and contents of which are made of silver; and two other gardens, the utensils and contents of which are made of so-and-so (i.e. gold) and nothing will prevent the people staying in the Garden of Eden from seeing their Lord except the curtain of Majesty over His Face." (Sahih Bukhari; vol. 6, book 60, #402)

Coming to description of various attributes of houris, Koran tells houris are of specially creation and...:

56:35-37(YUSUF ALI): We have created (their Companions) of special creation.
And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), -
Beloved (by nature), equal in age,-

37:048 : And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty).
55:056 : In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
55.058 : Like unto Rubies and coral.
55.072 : Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-
55:074 : Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-

Overall, houris are beautiful with big, lustrous eyes, shy, pure and virgin - who were never touched before -and waiting solely for their Muslim man to enter paradise to initiate them in to body pleasures. Houris are created in such a manner by Allah that even after intercourse, houris stay like virgins (source, page 290) In the words of Prophet Mohammad:

The Prophet said: A houri is a most beautiful young woman with a transparent body. The marrow of her bones is visible like the interior lines of pearls and rubies. She looks like red wine in a white glass. She is of white color, and free from the routine physical disabilities of an ordinary woman such as menstruation, menopause, urinal and offal discharge, child bearing and the related pollution. A houri is a girl of tender age, having large breasts which are round (pointed), and not inclined to dangle. Houris dwell in palaces of splendid surroundings. (Al-Tirmizi, volume 2, pg 35-40)

But, what about the words like 'chaste' and 'restraining their glances' in the verse 37:48? This is how Ibn Kathir explains:

'Chaste females' and 'wives restraining their glances' means they desire none except their husbands and see them as the most beautiful men in Paradise. Various sources said that one of these wives will say to her husband, "By Allah! I neither see anything in Paradise more handsome than you nor more beloved to me than you. So praise be to Allah Who made you for me and made me for you.''

Houris are young and equal in age, but what about Muslims entering paradise? One man might die at the age of 90 years or 40 years or a baby boy might die when it is few days old! So, at what will be his age as he enters paradise? Allah is all knowing so, he transforms all Muslim men entering paradise to 30 year olds [see (19)]. So a baby boy of 10 days old will get a 30 year old body and 72 virgins!!! Shouldn't jealousy come up with in houris as there are 72 of them and only one man? Not a problem, because in paradise, every Muslim man will be given the virility of 100 men [see (19)]:

The Prophet said: “The believer will be given tremendous strength in Paradise for sexual intercourse”. It was questioned: “O prophet of Allah! can he do that?” He said: “He will be given the strength of one hundred persons.” (Tirmizi, 2536) [Ibn Kathir too confirms this in his tafsir]

Allah’s Messenger said: “Allah will not admit anyone into Paradise but Allah, the Mighty and glorious will marry him with seventy two wives, Every one of them will have a pleasant vagina and he (the man) will have sexual organ that does not bend down during sexual intercourse.” (Ibn Majah, 5:4337)

72 houris and strength of 100 men! Bit unbalanced? It is not just with their wedded houris, Muslim men will have sex! Because there is a market place in paradise which consist of women and boys and Muslim men can visit this too:

The Apostle of Allah said, "There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have intercourse with them."(Al Hadith, Vol. 4, p. 172, No. 34)

And, person with strength of 100 men, it can come around to one intercourse per every 15 minutes; what ever it is, delights of paradise can only be called lust. If one reads properly they can realize Islamic philosophy in simplest words that Koran stating worship of Allah is the sole purpose in this life to attain paradise - after death - so that men can satisfy their carnal desires; this kind of construct reduces a man to a sexual beast.

At the same time, lets ask a simple question: what about Muslim women? What do they get in Islamic paradise? Previously, we have seen what Prophet Mohammad said about women! Koran does not mention any thing about women nor hadith give any details except that women in paradise are united with their husbands; So, if a woman found that her husband is abusive on the earth, she will have no choice but to be his wife in paradise too only in the hope that her husband is really transformed with that famous drink Allah gives every man on entering paradise which removes all evil and be satisfied in the knowledge that her husband is having wonderful time with houris. At what age she enters paradise? Neither Koran nor hadith give any details. They are not needed because concept of woman in Islam is that they not unto themselves but belongs to one or other man at all time.

How do Muslims take to this kind of description (one can also read this)? It is enough to know that the most prestigious institute of Islamic learning gets involved in debates on this kind of issues:

In 1992, Islamic assassins had gunned down ...Farag Foda, a professor and a columnist, a human rights activist, and an outspoken critic of Islamic militants.....About two weeks before his murder, he mocked what passed for intellectual discourse among Islamists by citing a recent sermon Egypt's most popular preacher....[who] had been telling his audience that Muslims who entered paradise would enjoy eternal erections and the company of young boys draped in earrings and necklaces. Some of the ulema, the religious scholars at Al-Azhar University had disagreed. Yes, they said, men in paradise would have erections, but merely protracted, not perpetual. (Judith Miller, God has Ninety Nine Names, Simon and Schuster, 1996, pp 25-36)

An Exemplary Imam from Florida

In addition to providing money to Taliban, when fighters in Afghanistan had killed seven American soldiers, Imam Khan “declared his wish that 'Allah' bring death to 50,000 Americans more.”

Many times in this blog, I mentioned and have written about Taqiyya or doctrine of Taqiyya. It is simply about Allah telling Muslims that they can lie to non-Muslims to advance Islamic cause i.e. for realizing ultimate Islamic goal of the whole world governed under Sharia law. For literal meaning, one can read from Tafsir of Ibn Kathir. Classical Islamic scholar Ibn Kathir writes that believers, who fear for their safety from disbelievers, are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly [or for the purpose of advancing Islam]. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda' said, "We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.'' How about smiling and waging Jihad behind?

If Jihad means striving to impose sharia law on the world by any means, Taqiyya [Doctrine of Taqiyya] simply extends the scope of means of Jihad.

We see this practice of Taqiyya in present day world when Muslim representatives and spokesmen in non-Muslim majority nations consistently keep misguiding non-Muslims on notions of Islamic peace, Jihad, institutions of dhimma and Sharia and with statements like Islam respects all religions and guarantees freedom of religion.

Recently in Florida, three people (one Imam and his two sons) of Pakistani origin - two of them being Imams - were arrested on charges of supporting terrorism through raising funds for Taliban (here).

It is the dual life of father - 76 year old with the name Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan (also a imam) - that merits attention of non-Muslims.

In one life, he was calm and gives peaceful sermons in the mosque and stresses that Islam is non-violent and peaceful; Miami Herald writes (here or here):

Unlike other U.S. Muslims who have been accused of supporting terrorism or engaging in terrorist acts, Imam Khan is a well-known and respected figure in Miami. He did not keep to the shadows, as have other terrorist suspects, and his public life yielded no clue that he might be involved in radical activity. Instead, he led prayers at a mosque five times a day and counseled the faithful. Instead of delivering jihadist sermons, the 76-year-old religious leader preached the traditional, mainstream version of Islam that rejects violence and stresses peace and the sanctity of life. By all accounts, he is habitually soft-spoken and avoids harsh language.

Jihad means defensive war? An Islamic website does not think so

Some months back even officials from Obama administration stated Jihad is a legitimate concept in Islam with out giving any definition of 'Jihad'; probably they were thinking it means spiritual struggle or defensive warfare but never a war against non-Muslims and to impose Islamic law on the world. But those who have read Islamic concept of Jihad and lived Islam knew what it means.

Dokku Abu Usman is often referred to as Osama Bin Laden of Russia and is self-declared emir (president) of Russian North Caucasus. He says, in an interview to an Islamic website:

Useful 'idiot' Swami Agnivesh

There are many people who regard Swami(?) Agnivesh as a fraudster. Here, in this report, he becomes a useful idiot for Islamic supremacists. It looks like he spoke to media persons on the sidelines of peace conference (!) on J & K and on various aspects like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), reasons for insurgency and pilgrimage to Amarnath.

Another dimension is how various media outlets reported this; many reported his enlightened opinions on all issues except on Amarnath pilgrimage (here, here, here, here); I found that only outlook reported the swami's 'sermon' in totality. Advocating immediate revocation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, social activist Swami Agnivesh today demanded an inquiry by a Supreme Court judge into the killing of civilians during last year's summer unrest in Kashmir Valley.

"Firstly, there is need to withdraw AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir immediately," he told reporters on the sidelines of a "Peace Conference", organized by the J&K Peace Foundation, here.

"There is also need for a probe by a sitting Supreme Court judge into the killing of civilians during violence in the Valley last summer," Agnivesh said.

His portrayal of Army or security personnel, implication is clear, speaks of his ignorance about political and bureaucratic dealings who create mess in the first place then ask Army to sort out the matter; so, it is these two classes that should be prosecuted and first to be done should be clans of first dynasty.

Seeing people dead is bad and unfortunate; but 112 people over a month and with people throwing stones at security personnel, we can only say that protests were handled badly and with out any intentionality; all this is because of poor equipment (gear) given to security personnel by their New Delhi bosses.

The social activist demanded release of all the youths detained without trial in the past one year in the Valley. "Instead those who have committed the crime should be thrown into jails," he said.

All our politicians should be locked up. Way back I suggested that instead of Army doing such jobs all the time, politicians also should be asked to do fighting against terrorists, separatists once in a while; this will make them do their job honestly and in better way or else they will equip Army with better gear.

On the Kashmir problem, Agnivesh quipped "it is a political and not a religious issue".

That is why separatists call it Jihad. They blow up churches. Hindus and Sikhs were expelled or forced to leave. If any one found reading Bible will be shot dead. Schools with Christian names, even if owned by Muslims, will be burned. No one should try to proselytize in Valley. If any one speaking against Islam, they will be killed too. Muslim extremists can demand Jizya from non-Muslims. All these things have nothing to do with Islam.

On the annual pilgrimage to the revered cave shrine of Amarnath, Agnivesh said, "I do not understand those who go for the Yatra. It is a religious deception." "I do not believe in this type of religion. Religion is when you seek justice for the poor, for the oppressed," he said.

By this, he endorsed Jizya Govt. of J and K levied on Hindu pilgrims and is like all those dhimmi politicians in New Delhi who never protested against this Jizya.

One question is, what kind of views he has on Muslims making hajj pilgrimage with central got. doling out Rs 1000 crores? Is it enlightenment or deception?

If he could have said this kind on hajj, he would be seeking some special protection cover because by this time many fatwas might have been issued on his head.

So, it is OK and safe to insult or question Hindu faith or rituals, more so when it brings rich rewards and dividends from media and liberals and from present Govt..

Australian Prime Minister announced a new policy of multiculturalism and Muslims immediately made a move to push sharia law in the name of pluralism. Just think of a system that does not treat members of others religions in any humane manner when Muslims are in majority, but makes its adherents demand some special Islamic privileges from non-Muslims governments when Muslims are in minority! How should one imagine such system?

So, 'hyped' moderate Sharia is irrelevant and not needed. Yet, what makes these Muslim leaders to push for its inclusion in Constitution?

'Is Islamic India only future?'

The name of this post is title of a post that appeared in jagobangla.blogspot.com which must have been written by some non-Indian. What ever it be, does the name of the post look like giving apocalyptical scenario to Indian (Hindu) civilization?

Some people, mostly Hindus, instinctively dismiss this and label the author as an Islamophobic or as a loony with out even reading or attempting to understand and question various finer points raised by author; and as always they love to continue to indulge in wishful thinking in concepts of all religions are same, multiculturalism, peaceful co-existence, which itself results from romantic idea of Islamic history in India they are fed with.

But these people are ignorants - if not fools - who have no clue about teachings of Islam and functioning and dynamics of Islamic culture or society.

Coming to that post, I myself do not agree with some of his views i.e. bringing USA in to the picture; otherwise it is thought provoking, more accurately, it is a genuine warning to all Hindus if they do not want to be swept under carpet like Hindus in Pakistan were exterminated, and like extermination of Hindus in Bangladesh under progress (25% of population is down to less than 8% and continue to fall).

These figures or other facts of struggles of other religious minorities in other Islamic countries do not matter to these humanists, liberals or seculars and never appear in their views, yet they indulge in defending Islam in the name of humanity.

These figures also do not matter in the views of many people who rather like to say, 'Islam is fine because I know so and so Muslim or a Muslim guy who is good guy.' or 'I know a Pakistani who is just like us.' To be more insane, giving a reason like Shahrukh Khan said , "Islam prohibits killing of innocent people." But, who is innocent, dear?

Frightening, isn't it? Neither Islamic teachings nor genocides nor exterminations nor suffering of religious minorities in Islamic nations nor excessive demands of Muslim minorities living in infidel majority countries do never matter but one person or one guy makes my view.

Now, is Islamic India a possibility? I can say that it is not impossible considering what happened in Assam or what is happening in West Bengal.

Previously, there is one Muslim majority district, Murshidabad. In 2001, Maldah too became one; analysis says there must be two more Muslim majority districts like Uttar Dinajpur and Birbhum [include the possibility of 24 parganas (south) too] according to 2011 census and many more districts bordering Bangladesh about to become Muslim majority in the near future. With regard to Assam, its fate was sealed and evidence for this is results of recent assembly elections. Ugly face of Islam has brought out its tail of the hat and it is only a matter of time before it presents itself in full force.

Jihad has come to India and, yet, the Obama administration along with State Department will tell you that it is nothing more than “isolated acts by individuals”. The government New Delhi is willing to go on record to suggest that will say you are “stirring up anti-Muslim sentiment.” The mainstream media will question as to how you can say that when we are hearing nothing about it from them. But it is real, and it is happening now. How do I know?! Well, that’s because I have seen it all through my very own eyes. The Obama administration’s studied denial will find us caught as flat-footed in India as we were in Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, and elsewhere. The only difference being: India is an economic and military giant, with nuclear weapons, and could be a cornerstone of any effective fight against radical Islam.

For several years now I have been fiercely vocal about the progressive radicalization of Bangladesh along with its nationals. Although it is the only country that ranks among the ten most populous and the ten most densely populated, as well as being the second largest Muslim-majority nation, events there do not capture people’s imagination. When you talk about India in the same context, however, people take notice. The thought of an Islamist dominated India scares the heck out of them and should. While our own strategic thinkers concentrate on internecine struggles in the Middle East, their obliviousness to the significance of an [Islamist India] has enabled our enemies to further their agenda.

I have spent many years journey along India’s 2545 mile-long border with Bangladesh, besides witnessing the impact Bangladesh’s radicalization has had on its giant neighbor to the west. Amitabh Tripathi, who has been fighting against what he calls his country’s “soft policies,” noted that Bangladesh’s Muslims “are not radicalized but their institutions are.” That radicalization and a level of corruption on both sides of the border that makes my fellow Chicagoans look like amateurs has already produced demographic change in many strategic areas of India. [With such ignorant people at the lead fighting for their existence, it may not be successful.]

It also has given Muslim activists carte blanche throughout the entire country. The process is deliberate, has been going on for decades, and should send us a terrible warning signal, not only because of what it bodes for India, but also because of what sort of future the Obama administration’s soft policies and tolerance for an open border to our south mean for the United States.

Each year in districts like Uttar Dinajpur and North and South 24 Parganas directly across from the Islamic state, my colleagues and I find that more and more villages which once had mixed Hindu-Muslim populations are now all Muslim or Muslim-dominated. Gone are the roadside temples characteristic of places where Hindus practice their faith openly; gone are the sights of Hindu women dressed in their colorful saris and other vestments. They have been replaced by mosques and burqas.

Each state, my colleagues and I find that more and more villages which once had mixed Hindu-Muslim populations are now all Muslim or Muslim-dominated. He is convinced that this population shift is a deliberate and an integral element the jihad that threatens all of us: “Bangladeshi infiltration with Pakistani ideas… trying to ‘Pakistanize’ the entire region,” he said adding that that the dominant culture for South Asian Muslims has become more “Arabic,” than South Asian. [Such is the understanding of these fellows: I feel like shouting, "it is Islam, idiots."]

In 1947 when the British left, they partitioned the Indian subcontinent into Hindu and Muslim states. West Bengal went to “Hindu” India, and East Bengal (now Bangladesh) became part of Muslim Pakistan. While Hindu and Muslim majorities respectively, remains, exhaustive studies by Pramanik and others hold out little hope that things will continue that way..............

Most Pakistanis grieve for Osama: Survey

Proof of existence of liberal and moderate Islam?

51% of people surveyed in Pakistan said that they grieve for Osama Bin Laden while 33% said they were unconcerned!

This can be viewed with another opinion poll (conducted by Pew Global and it is here) which showed:

1. 69% of Pakistanis say influence of Islam in politics is positive while 6% say it is negative [In Indonesia, it is 91% and 6%; For Egypt, the corresponding figures are 85% and 2%]
2. 85% of Pakistanis support gender segregation and support a law in this regard.
3. 82% of Pakistanis said they support Islamic laws like stoning for adultery, cutting the hands of thieves for robbery.
4. Over 76% of Pakistanis support Islamic law awarding death penalty to people who leave Islam to to other religion.

Interestingly, when this poll was taken (Year 2010), only 18% have positive views on Osama Bin Laden. Back in the year, 2003, 46% of Pakistanis have positive views of Osama Bin Laden! What explains the drastic reduction is many Muslims of Pakistanis became the victims of wave of Taliban and Al-Qaeda suicide bombings.

At the same time, Bin Laden's death at the hands of US received sympathies from 51% of population which means most Muslims consider violence in their country as a problem with in Ummah with no place for outsiders.

If some one is saying Pakistan is a moderate Islamic country, just ask them what does it mean and what is moderate Islam itself? Existence of moderate Islam is a myth created by media and politicians to comfort non-Muslims.

Hindu 'Dalit' man abducted and raped in Pakistan

Islam is evil. It hides its evil and ugly political ideology behind the cloak of religion though it is not impervious to see its evil nature. In India, so called Muslim intellectuals and Islamic apologists in order to conceal the real nature of Islam, its ugly past reeking of imperialism and its future ambitions cleverly use the notion of caste differences in Hindu society in; in addition to these, caste system is also used to shut down discussion on Islam as many gullible Hindus do not have patience to read through Islamic teachings and its history.

Yes, there is caste system in Hindu society. But the rationalism should dictate that how this existence of caste system makes Islam less insane than it is or justifies what Islam stands for esp. in regarding treatment meted out to non-Muslims and women.

Or How this justifies Islam dividing the entire humanity in to Muslims and Kafirs and world in to Dar ul-Islam (HOuse of Islam) and Dar ul-Harb (House of war or House of non-Muslims)?

How does this justify Jihad whose aim is to convert Dar ul-Harb in to Dar ul-Islam?

To those Hindus talking about caste differences in Hinduism, I will only say this: Islam only sees whether you are a Muslim or a non-Muslim; it does not care about which caste one belongs to. It even does not care whether you believe in God or not; if one is not a Muslim, then he must be an enemy of Islam and they all are treated the same way i.e. they all have to pay Jizya and abide by contract of Dhimma which is inhuman and discriminatory.

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has received information that a young Hindu scheduled cast man was abducted by a mob of hundreds of persons from a police station. The police stopped further investigation because of the involvement of a powerful religious group. Since his abduction on May 12, his whereabouts are unknown. This is the second time he was abducted. He was previously abducted by a group of local religious leaders including the leader of the mosque and kept in their custody, allegedly for nine months. The victim alleged that he was raped during his captivity and forced him to convert his religion by signing plain papers.

The high police officers of the district Mirpurkhas, Sindh have told the family members, leaders of the Hindu community and the lawyers that they could not do against the mob as there were chances of riots. Since then police have stopped the investigation into the case.

Instead of arresting the perpetrators police have arrested victim’s father and his two maternal uncles on the charges of abduction on the application of the Mosque leader. The mother and other family members are in hiding.

Please send the urgent appeal to the authorities to recover the young man and arrest the perpetrators for forcibly converting a religious minority person through sexual abuse......

Two Muslim girls killed by their 'mothers' for marrying Hindu idolaters

These two mothers unfortunately do not understand that Islam allows intereligious marriages, at least according to Muslim moderates like Mr Sultan Shahin or Mr Ali Engineer, who show it as evidence for Islam being pluralist.

Just like the myth of Islam being pluralist and inclusive, their assertions on Islam allowing intereligious marriages is a blatant lie - to be more honest it is half truth -, of which those reformers were never ashamed of; because they knew in their hearts that Allah, Islamic god, perfectly allows telling lies to advance the ultimate goal of Islam i.e. world being ruled under Sharia law.

I needed to be more accurate on position of Islam on inter religious marriages - I mentioned this many times in this blog itself and to many non-Muslims in various discussions at other places - to remove any doubts of readers of this piece.

Let us question whether a religion which prescribes death penalty to those leaving Islam to other religion allows intereligious marriages?

Sure, it does. In its own way!

What ever be the extent to which a Muslim practices his faith, every Muslim believes Koran is a word from Allah revealed to Prophet Mohammad through Anger Gabriel. And Koran says these on inter religious marriages:
1. Muslim men can marry women from people of book i.e. Christians and Jews and of course Muslim women.
2. Muslim women can not marry men from other religions; it is forbidden (haram).

There is a glitch here regarding Islam allowing Muslim men marrying Hindu women or Sikh women. Considering that some Islamic schools (actually, only one school) have extended the option of paying Jizya to Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs - in the beginning, only Christians and Jews have this option of paying Jizya and for all others Islam gives only choice between death and converting to Islam - this provision of Muslim men marrying women of People of Book i.e. Christians and Jews can be extended to women from Hinduism too on parallel logic. Other than this line of philosophy, there is nothing in Koran or traditions of Prophet Mohammad, that permits Muslim men marrying Hindu women.

With regard to Muslim women, we can say nothing like it because there is not a single verse in Koran like 5:005 - which permits Muslim men to marry women from Christianity and Judaism - permitting Muslim women marrying other than Muslim men.

Following two are the verses that guide social relations between Muslims and non-Muslims:

2:221 (YUSUFALI): Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters), until they believe: A slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman, even though she allures you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever, even though he allures you..........

5:005 (YUSUF ALI): ......(Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, [Christians and Jews] revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

When Koran speaks so straight forward on this, it leaves no room for misinterpretation. Sharia (Islamic law) law advocates death penalty to non-Muslim men who try to marry Muslim women or try to develop any kind of relation with Muslim women (read clause 1 in the chapter @o11.10 from here).

But, what happens when Muslim women do marry non-Muslim men; Islam or Koran or Sharia law says such disobedient women be killed and this usually is discussed under the topic of honor killings in Islam; Sharia law does not punish parents who kill their children under tag of honor [here (this hyper-link is excellent) and here (regarding the incident of Harry Potter actress)) (or read clause 4 in the chapter @o1.2 from here]

Now, one can see the kind of inter religious marriages Islam allows; one can also see how conveniently some Islamic apologists lie or present half truths.

One does not need to be super intelligent to realize that under this kind of setting, where Muslim men can marry non-Muslim women but Muslim women can not marry non-Muslim men, non-Muslims and their culture (or civilization) disappears in the long run.

Islam is a closed system and totalitarian (fascist actually); every rule and every law in Islam is patterned to advance Islam and towards realizing Islamic goal of whole world under Sharia.

Mothers accused of honour killings

Newlyweds Zahida, 19, and Husna, 26, were strangled when they returned home after marrying men of their own choosing, police officer Anil Kumar Kusan said.

Marriages between Hindus and Muslims are rare in India and are frowned upon by both communities, although there are more instances of inter-religious marriages among the educated urban population.

Across India, many marriages are still arranged by families.

But with the booming economy and more women entering the workforce, such traditions are slowly giving way to love matches.

Centuries-old caste and community barriers still come into play, however, and there has been a spurt in "honour killings" in recent years across northern India.

Zahida and Husna were neighbours in Baghpat, a town in Uttar Pradesh state, when they fell in love with two construction workers.

They eloped and got married last week before returning home to make peace with their families, Kusan said.

The girls belonged to Muslim families and their mothers, both widows, were furious, Kusan said.

Initial investigations showed the mothers helped each other to strangle the girls.

The mothers were unrepentant, saying the girls had brought shame and dishonour to their families, police said.

Earlier this week, India's Supreme Court recommended the death penalty for perpetrators of honour killings, calling the practice barbaric and feudal.........

Imagine the uproar and outrage in the media and the circles of our seculars and liberals - who are also opinion makers - if Hindu women have been killed with statements like Hindu extremism, Hindu imperialism and Hindu bigotry or Hindu communalism! Remember, how the media made Priyanka of Bhopal a celebrity because she married a Muslim guy? Now the question is, are courts going to let those mothers go free because according to Sharia law, the marriage is not only illegal but mothers have right to kill their daughters? What will ulema say? Are they going to call these two mothers as examples for other Muslim women and mothers? Imagine the accusations against police department and Judge for turning over those two Hindu girls to their parents? It would be one hell of an opportunity for every idiot to show their credentials as liberal and secular in this cursed land, India.

Blasphemy law and State of fear

Blasphemy law of Islam is anachronistic. It is, nevertheless, a vital component of religion, Islamic culture and Islamic law (Sharia) as it is used to suppress any dissent or criticism of Sharia law itself. Totalitarian systems never tolerate any criticism and Islam is more than totalitarian system; combined with its ideology of expansionism by any means, it is fascist to the core.

With regard to non-Muslims, blasphemy law can also become an instrument in the hands of some Muslims to persecute, harass, victimize and threaten non-Muslims (as we have seen in the two previous posts) because of absurdity of law that can be seen from the fact that it rests entirely on the words of accuser.

What makes this blasphemy law more deadly and baneful is the resonance that accusation of blasphemy like burning of Koran, disrespect to Islam and dishonoring Prophet Mohammad strikes with Muslim masses; even rumors of blasphemy by non-Muslims are sufficient to trigger massive violence by Muslim mobs. The wide support for blasphemy law among Muslim societies can be seen from results of opinion polls conducted by pew and reactions of Muslims in Pakistan to killing of Salman Taseer. In Pakistan, after the birth of a rumor of blasphemy, even courts acquitting the accused will not save the victim.

There are apologetics who would say that poverty may be the cause of such irrational anger besides madrassa education. Are 500 lawyers showering rose petals on killer of Salman Taseer products of madrassas? Are those people who supported Salman Taseer in face book using English language and internet products of madrassas? The answer is clear for those who wanted to see what is right before their eyes; the answer is what is in Islamic sacred texts and what they say and their Prophet did. Good education or English education does not mean that Muslims are less likely to be Islamic or less likely to hate non-Muslims. It is proven beyond doubt that in most countries (esp. countries like U.K, Pakistan and U.S.A) well educated people are more Islamic than their parents were.

How is it that Muslims are so sensitive to criticism of their ideology (or to perceived slights or insults from infidels) apart from the fact that their holy and sacred texts condemn blasphemy and advocate death for blasphemy? Is it not surprising that reports or rumors of blasphemy will bring out angry mobs on to streets while deadly suicide bombings like the latest suicide bombing that killed 80 Muslims in Pakistan do not produce similar outrage from Muslims? I just outlined some reasons for such outrage and also its (Blasphemy law) overall impact on society

Their (Muslims) view that Muslims are superior and are supposed to be dominant and rulers in this world coupled with the view that infidels are inferior, subhuman and perverted transgressors deserving suppression or subjugation for the sake of preservation of world - as Allah revealed these in Koran, it is only naïve on part of non-Muslims not to believe that Muslims do not believe in such things esp. after uncovering of what is taught in many mosques and Islamic schools – and its implication that superiors (Muslims) will never take or tolerate insults from inferiors (non-Muslims).

Added to this feeling of superiority, which in turn is alleviated by their past military conquests, feeling of humiliation resulting from the reality that USA or some infidel countries are dominating this world (or earth) and relatively low achievements of Islamic societies compared to others in many fields is simply another reason.

Finally, Blasphemy law serves Islamic purpose very well. Whether Christians in Pakistan have been terrorized by Muslims using allegations of blasphemy law or Coptics of Egypt and Hindus of Bangladesh (and also Pakistan) have been terrorized by abduction of their women, terror serves purpose of Islam in encouraging infidels to convert to Islam out of concern for their safety (here, here).

A Muslim commentator said that instilling terror in to hearts of non-Muslims is one of aims of Jihad and also a directive from Allah (verse 8:12). He also stresses terror is not just means but also an end state (here). All this means reducing non-Muslims in to a miserable state of fear and terror from which they dare not oppose discriminatory Islamic rule (or law) and continue living as non-Muslims with liability (i.e. paying jizya and accepting humiliation terms under Sharia); of course there is another choice available to non-Muslims: convert to Islam. (One can see now the idea of ‘no compulsion in Islam’)

Considering actions of Prophet Mohammad, there is more than basis in using state of fear, terror and therats to convert infidels to Islam and this approach is always open to Muslims as Koran says Prophet Mohammad was an example in moral code, ethics and conduct to Muslims to follow for eternity. If he did something, Muslims can very well do it. The Arabic expression to describe this kind of threat is 'aslim taslam' meaning 'be a Muslim and you will be safe'. As the following hadiths show, there can never be any real security to non-Muslims in under Islamic law or in Islamic society.

Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform that, then they save their lives and property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah." (Sahih Bukhari; vol. 1, book 2, # 25)

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira who said: We were (sitting) in the mosque when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came to us and said: (Let us) go to the Jews. We went out with him until we came to them. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) stood up and called out to them (saying): O ye assembly of Jews, accept Islam (and) you will be safe........He said to them (the same words) the third time (and on getting the same reply) he added: You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I wish that I should expel you from this land Those of you who have any property with them should sell it, otherwise they should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle (and they may have to go away leaving everything behind). (Sahih Muslim; book 19, # 4363)

Suhail reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said on the Day of Khaibar: I shall certainly give this standard in the hand of one who loves Allah and his Messenger and Allah will grant victory at his hand.......Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) called 'Ali b. Abu Talib and he conferred (this honour) upon him and said: Proceed on and do not look about until Allah grants you victory, and 'Ali went a bit and then halted and did not look about and then said in a loud voice: Allah's Messenger, on what issue should I fight with the people? Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: Fight with them until they bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger, and when they do that then their blood and their riches are inviolable from your hands but what is justified by law and their reckoning is with Allah. (Sahih Muslim; book 31, # 5917)

THE AFFAIR OF FADAK: When the apostle (Prophet Mohammad) had finished with Khaybar, Allah struck terror to the hearts of the men of Fadak when they heard what the apostle had done to the men of Khaybar. They sent to him an offer of peace on condition that they should keep half of their produce. Their messengers came to him in Khaybar and he accepted their terms. Thus, Fadak became his (Prophet Mohammad) private property because it has not been attacked by horse or camel. (Ibn Ishaq, page 523)

Every Islamic society and culture is conditioned by such teachings and in that atmosphere, the only way for non-Muslims to be assured of security is conversion to Islam which could explain why no. of non-Muslims is dropping in Islamic societies. At some point, the will of infidels to hold on to their native belief cracks down in the face of harsh constrains of Sharia law and hostility of Muslims.

3000 Christians in Pakistan flee their homes after court frees two Christians accused of blasphemy

Christians in Pakistan recently fled when a Muslim mob attacked a seminary and accused believers of desecrating the Quran.

Roughly 4,000 Muslims recently attacked a Presbyterian seminary in Gujranwala and compelled 3,000 believers to flee the area. Pastor Eric Issac, who oversees a local Presbyterian church, was also arrested and falsely accused of burning the Quran.

Jonathan Racho, regional manager for Africa with International Christian Concern (ICC), says the attack may have been trigged by the Pakistani police's decision to release two Christians accused of insulting the Quran.

"This is not the first time that Christians have been persecuted in the area. On April 15, the Muslim radicals in the area accused Mushtaq Gill and his son Farrukh Gill of desecrating the Quran, and they got them arrested," Racho reports.

Police were able to prevent the mob from causing additional damage to Christian homes and churches near the region, but the ICC spokesman says the accusation is an easy excuse for Muslims to arrest believers, as the blasphemy law in Pakistan demands life imprisonment for those who commit the crime against the Islamic holy book.

"The Christians, we know they will never do that. It's like inviting a death sentence on yourself because of the reaction from the Muslims," Racho contends. "The situation in Pakistan is very precarious for Christians. All it takes is for someone to claim that some Christian has done this or that."

But he notes that 90 percent of the Christians in Gujranwala's Aziz Colony and Gulzar Colony have fled the region.

Pakistan's infamous blasphemy law has struck again, this time in Sialkot city. The victim is a book store owner named Gulzar Masih.

Gulzar Masih and his muslim friend Abdul Rauf opened a bookshop 10 years ago and soon their business flourished, they expanded their shop to a much bigger one, seeing the success of the business Rauf wanted to take over the bookshop for himself and there were rifts between the two.To come to a settlement both partners agreed to go separate ways in 2009 resulting in individual bookshops named Delight books & New Delight books. Gulzar's unit began to thrive and his success was not acceptable to Rauf who refused to accept his own failure in running a shop as well as Gulzar, and unveiled a fiendish plan to try and close down his competitor; the bookshop of his former business associate.

Gulzar Masih’s son Suleman went early morning to open their shop on Druman Wala Chowk only to find some burnt pages of the Qur‘an under the shutter, and as pre-planned employees of Abdul Rauf began to shout, accusing Gulzar and his son of the crime.

The noise by Rauf's staff gathered more muslims from the area and passers-by who then attempted to attack Suleman but he was lucky enough to escape from the crowd and inform his father of the conspiracy.The mob then proceeded to set Gulzar's shop on fire, however Police reached on time and prevented the crowd from burning the shop and dispersed all those gathered.

Meanwhile, a Christian leader says “extremist elements are getting stronger” in his nation.
The blasphemy law provides the death penalty for anyone who speaks ill of Islam or Prophet Mohammed or anyone who disrespects the Quran.

Gulzar Masih, his son and the rest of the family have gone into hiding leaving behind their bookshop to save themselves from the widely criticized blasphemy law that has destroyed lives of many Christians where a few false witnesses and some pieces of a Quran's page can frame anybody.

To date the maximum cases of blasphemy cases have come from Punjab, Sialkot city also comes under the Punjab Province where most of Pakistan's Christian community resides and it also records the most discrimination against minorities than any other place in Pakistan.

“The blasphemy law is being once more as a pretext to settle a personal score,” said Father Naeem Taj.

What we have here is another example of Islamic tolerance and moderate Muslim Pakistan. Of course, abduction of infidel women, both Hindus and Christians, and converting them to Islam before or after the forced marriage is a common practice and on going phenemenon in many Islamic nations esp. Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt (even in parts of West Bengal and Assam). These kind of things happen again and again because police's, who also happen to be Muslims, unwillingness to take action against such criminals, lax laws as they always have some kind of connection to basic tenets of Sharia (or Islam) and general view prevailing among Muslims that infidels are vermin-like; all these reasons should be sufficient to conclude Islam is 'truly moderate'!!!

Conversion to Islam before marriage is to make going back to normal state impossible otherwise Islamic law perfectly allows Muslim men to marry non-Muslim women but it will not allow Muslim women to marry non Muslim men , a tailor made system to wipe out traces of infidels and their culture in the long run.

Christian student nurse forced to convert to marry Muslim man

Lahore (AsiaNews) – A 24-year Christian woman from southern Punjab was abducted by a Muslim man who, after forcing her to convert to Islam, also forced her to marry him. Although her family filed a formal report of kidnapping, the police did not act immediately, either to stop the abduction or to arrest the culprits. Likewise, her family has gone to court to get her released to no avail; the young student nurse remains in fact in the hands of her kidnappers. This, according to a local priest, is part of an “alarming” trend in anti-Christian violence. He is, to put it mildly, “disappointed by the behaviour of local authorities”. A human rights activist confirms that the region of Pakistan where the woman lives is a “safe haven for extremists” who perpetrate abuses and kidnappings “with total impunity”.
Farah Hatim, 24, from Rahim Yar Khan, a town in southern Punjab, was training to be a nurse at the Sheikh Zaid Medical College, working in the orthopaedic ward. Last Sunday, she was kidnapped as she crossed Jinnah Park, which is located near the college where she worked.

Her kidnapper is Zeehan Iliyas, a young Muslim man working as an office boy at a local branch of the United Bank Ltd. With the help his brothers Imram and Gulfam, he abducted the young woman, ordering her to convert to Islam and marry him.

“This [Muslim] family has a history of kidnapping young Christian women and forcing them to convert,” said Bilquees Marriam, Farah’s mother, adding that they act with impunity because they are backed by a local Member of the National Assembly, who belongs to the ruling party.

The woman and her other six children went to the police to file the abduction report, but the duty officer refused to take a First Information Report (FIR).

The day after the kidnapping, the local Christian community rallied around the kidnapped woman’s family and began protesting against the violence against her and the complicity of local law enforcement. Initially, police tried to disperse the crowd but following the intervention of the superintendent of police, a FIR application was accepted and an investigation was launched.

However, the delay gave Farah Hatim’s kidnappers time to take the young woman to a district court under duress so that she could state that she had converted to Islam and would marry Zeehan Iliyas.

The judge, who failed to cross-examine the woman, especially with regards to the wounds to her body, simply accepted her statement as “valid”.

Zahid Hussain, the Hatim family lawyer, slammed the gross violation of the Farah’s rights and the faulty legal procedures. He said that when “someone makes a statement before a court, the judge must question the applicant alone in order to determine whether his or her decision was made under duress or by consent. In this case, the courtroom was full of people, including those who actively took part in her abduction and assault. The judge also ignored her wounds. [. . .] All this shows that she was forced to sign the statement”.

Last Tuesday, Farah’s family filed a second complaint, which the police has so far failed to pursue.

“Southern Punjab is a safe haven for extremists,” said Rizwan Paul, head of the human rights organisation ‘Life for All’. Indeed, local authorities and police are more interested in “protecting offenders” than in justice.

“We have highlighted several cases of forced conversions and brought it to the attention of the authorities, but they have turned a deaf ear to our complaints,” he said.

“It is a sad incident,” said Fr Sohail John, parish priest at Rahim Yar Khan. “We strongly condemn the kidnapping and the forced conversion. We are disappointed over the response of the local authorities. It is alarming that [. . .] the Punjab government has failed to protect the minorities” and is instead “protecting the culprit”.

Yes, we do have a freak show going on these days. But none of our Monstres Sacrés can match the latest Fatwa published by the (respected) Islamic Scholar and member of the religious establishment, Abdelbari Zemzami. He basically allows sexual intercourse with a corpse.

Yes. Necrophilia is now Halal in Morocco by the grace of Alem Zemzami.

I should perhaps be more specific in Zemzami’s Fatwa: he allows the widowed husband to have sexual intercourse with the corpse of his deceased wife. The Fatwa does not say whether it reciprocates for a woman (although I suspect even with rigor mortis, it will not do) nor does it specify how many hours after the wife’s death a man can still, you know… perform their marital duties. If it was not for the scholar’s level of seniority, I would dismiss this fatwa as yet another deranged, lonely individual who did not get some for a while. But this is Zemzami. And it is a Fatwa from an official of the Habous ministry. If indeed such Fatwa is genuine.

But the issue goes beyond our funny Zemzami – please follow the hashtags#FunnyZemzami and #ZemzamiFatwa, you will get a kicking out of the twittoma’s imagination and acerbic witticism- and strikes at the very heart of individual freedom and the rule of positive law; Zemzami is empowered to produce Islamic rulings that can easily be considered an obligation on the Muslim community in Morocco; As a Alem, an Islamic Scholar, his Fatwas are norms. He can claim to actually dictate what we, as members of the Ummah, should do or not do. We are thus submitted to the double fetter of God’s law, and Man’s law. We individual citizens have no grip on such legislation, an infringement on our democratic rights, and perhaps the most straightforward argument in favour of the criticism that Morocco is no democracy.

Zemzami justifies his ruling by means of analogy: Since a good Muslim couple will meet again in Heaven, and since death does not alter the marital contract (in his opinion) it is not a hindrance to the husband’s desire to have sexual intercourse with the corpse of his (freshly) deceased wife. A deranged mind and flawed logical thinking seem not to be part of the position of Senior Alem’s requirements. I am no Islamic Scholar (thank God) but I remember from my (compulsory and utterly boring) High School Islamic courses that there is a minimum amount of logical thinking when the Imam (or Alem) makes their Ijtihad, or investigations. And quite frankly, I really don’t see how he managed to find a ruling for the deceased; The Islamic literature is very extensive on the living (as it normally it should be) but Zemzami’s ruling tops them all. He seemed to overlook the procreating objective of marital mating (this is why concepts such as “نكاح المتعة” are forbidden) or even

Indeed, Zemzami’s ruling is funny. It is so, because if one wants to think of it otherwise, the first thing to spring to mind is something like: “what goes on the man’s life to take such a keen interest in such an obscure issue to devote time and resources and come up with a an even stranger ruling”? I mean, perhaps the Habous officials do bore themselves to death in their offices, but still, they are civil servants and receive their salaries (comfortable salaries in Zemzami’s case) on the taxpayer’s dime. It is only just to question the man’s competence (never mind sanity) and legitimacy to dream up rulings regulating our lives.

Abdelbari Zemzami, again, is no ordinary scholar: he is formally a “الخبير في فقه النوازل“ which means an Expert in Exceptional Matters, issues that have not been delineated in the Quran, the Hadith, or anywhere in Sharia law. Zemzami actually did his job: such a bizarre occurrence never happened before, and was never discussed in past scholarly work or in the original Islamic laws, so it is up to him, the expert, to come up with something. Yes, Zemzami is the chief scholar at the vanguard of new Islamic rulings designed to make life more harmonious within the Islamic community. Frightening.

The whole idea of a Ulema corps is at odds with democracy. First because it is another infringement on individual rights; Indeed, we are living in a society, and because of it, individuals need to sacrifice some of their rights for the sake of the collective freedom. The democratic setting minimizes these fetters to the necessary rules required for a peaceful coexistence. This means that no restrictions should be put on intimate issues -which religions, especially Islam, want to regulate in accordance to their teachings, so as to achieve their Holy City utopia. In view of these elements, positive law is sufficient an infringement on individual freedom to indulge in adding yet another restriction. And even though there is no direct link between the Penal sanction of non-marital sexual relationships and Zemzami’s fatwa, I suspect frustrations due to the repressive sexual policy, as it were, do lead to suchVaudevillian situations; Opening up to sexual tolerance and essential the breaking of ‘wedlock monopoly‘ could help stem dangerous behaviour (rather than encourage them, as the conservative theory goes)

Zemzami’s ruling is a blessing in disguise: it furthers the cause of secularists; It is the proof that dogmatic and conservative policies are a failure, and frustrations and social deviances arising from such fettering rules are a blatant rebuttal to those who believe all Moroccans will be moral knights and dames. Subsequently, instead of treating everyone as a devout Muslim (and punishing anyone who does not care about it) it is easier, and nicer, to scrap these pieces of legislation. It also have the courage to do away with hypocrisy (the penal code punishes non-observant of Ramadan but not those who do not go to the Mosque, even though prayers have seniority as an Islamic pillar)

Oh, and one last thing. Zemzami really should be put in some asylum. Or allowed to set up a One Man Show; that way he will do no harm to the saner people. And it seems he stands by his ruling: necrophilia is Halal. Looking forward to the next ruling on f**king goats.

I am bit curious on the reasoning because Shites in their theology consider dead body - along with non-Muslims, dogs and feces - as impure but Morocco is Sunni and still I am not sure - as I have gone through reliance of traveller - if there is any support for such ridiculous fatwas. Farhnan Qureshi's testimony on leaving Islam

Even in free countries like USA, Canada and other western nations, it takes courage to leave Islam to another religion or to declare openly apostasy. It is dangerous, involves risk and puts their life - itself - in risk. Farhan Qureshi - psychologist by profession and he is a preacher too - is known for defending Islam and its doctrines since ling time; he even has a website for that. So, his decision to leave Islam and declare it openly must be a shocker to many Muslims. Considering that Muslims boast about Islam as the fastest growing religion and parades new converts to Islam, will they respect his right to freedom of religion, choice and conscience?

Mr Qureshi could not have done this in any Islamic country - there are few Egyptians who converted to Christianity and suffered at the hands of establishment - and there is a chance that there are many more like him in Islamic countries who wanted to leave Islam but continue to stay in it for fear of reprisals.

Mr Ali Sina is right in observing that the only way to defeat Islam is through intellectual fight. But this not going to be easy as many Muslims have shut themselves down even to reading. But trust me, those who read even a bit of authentic biography of Prophet Mohammad will find it very hard to continue in their faith if they have conscience.

Mr Qureshi - in his testimony - writes:

"My apostasy has not been based on disliking Islam or its requirements rather it was based on a realization that Islam is in direct contradiction with contemporary knowledge involving and including science, philosophy, ethics, anthropology, and the field which I am most interested in, educated in and practice as my line of work, namely, psychology: the science and study of human behavior."

Islamic ethics are in direct confrontation with values we respect and stand for in present day world. What else really disturbed Mr Qureshi? For this, one has to read his testimony presented below (or one can read from here):

After years of having been involved in think tanks, advocacy groups, da’wah (invitation or propagation) initiatives and academic apologetics as a Muslim, I have I decided to evolve my perspective of reality and existence as knowledge has reached me and renounce my faith in Islam (readers may find more on Farhan Qureshi's apologetic work at his website Defending Islam). This was a thought out decision that took months of prayer, consideration, evaluation and knowledge-seeking on my part. Every bit as it has been a search for meaning and truth is has been a grieving process for me to realize that what I have been attached to all of these years is in fact not the ultimate reality behind our existence. Nevertheless it is simultaneously liberation and continued enlightenment that brings about serenity and peace of mind for me as well.

My apostasy has not been based on disliking Islam or its requirements rather it was based on a realization that Islam is in direct contradiction with contemporary knowledge involving and including science, philosophy, ethics, anthropology, and the field which I am most interested in, educated in and practice as my line of work, namely, psychology: the science and study of human behavior.

In the coming months I plan to contribute articles to FFI which explore the behavior and psyche of the different types of Muslims out there: the western Muslim, the mystic (Sufi), the purist (Salafi), and the politically driven (Hizb/Ikhwan) are among the many colors of the Ummah, each having its own set of advocates with unique behaviors and mentality. I have spent time and energy studying and experiencing the different denominations and sub-cultures within the Ummah. Having experienced their spirituality and religiosity first hand, having studied with their scholars and preachers, and having read books, articles and arguments from them, I believe that I have a grasp of where they stand psychologically and I plan to explore this more in-depth in the near future as I publish articles.

I realized that 1400 years worth of consistent Islamiyya theology is not what I believed was the ultimate truth, rather I realized that it was a primitive attempt at understanding and implementing social, spiritual, religious and ethical standards. These seventh century standards might give slight insight into how humanity, and in this case, Arab civilization was evolving and progressing from its previous ‘jahiliyya’ or ignorance, and yet effectively became stagnant with its own set of conservative traditionalism that would not allow Arab civilization to move forward. The only attempts at progression were the rationalist Mu’tazilites of the eight century which gave rise to what many observe as the Golden Age of Islam. Yet these rationalists were viewed as heretics and apostates themselves and would become extinct by the thirteenth century. Instead dogmatic traditionalism or Sunnah would thrive in the Muslim world and the European Renaissance with its progressive attitude would pick up where the all but extinct Middle Eastern rationalists left off.

Perhaps the most important realization I have come to is that I would receive the death penalty under Shariah law for simply coming to these conclusions or realizations. This disturbs me to the core and demonstrates how the Ummah uses fear tactics under its Shariah system in order to preserve and strengthen their theological and political agenda. What I am grateful for however is the opportunity to witness the evolution of humanity where we no longer are restricted by primitive forms of theology and law and yet we continue to strive for integrity, honesty, humility, character development, and moral stability. There is a promising future for our species and not a dark one as theologians are attempting to brainwash their adherents with.

As a Muslim apologist I remember debating at numerous types of venues including Mosques, Churches, Universities, Convention Halls and Libraries. Having engaged with notable Christian apologists such as Dr. James White, Dr. Tony Costa and Professor David Wood, I learned that the purpose of apologetics was not confrontation rather to come to an understanding of truth even if it meant evolving one’s own perspective. The idea of receiving an apparent truth is to embrace it, not fight it. The moment we try to fight an apparent truth or reality we begin to dwell in hypocrisy: understanding that something is apparently true and yet denying it for selfish reasons or attachment to preconceived notions. I want to thank Ali Sina for giving me the platform to explore Islam and to expose its primitive nature as incompatible with contemporary reality unless and until Muslims choose to reform it.

1. Islam is about Muslims – no, Islam is about everyone. Islam has rules about everything, and that includes non-Muslims. 61% of the Koran is about non-Muslims. It has rules about whether or not Muslims should befriend non-Muslims; about how to treat non-Muslims captured in war; about whether non-Muslim women can be raped; the attitude to take towards the possessions of non-Muslims. It literally controls the kind of relations - be it social or political - that should exist between Muslim and non-Muslims. Most of these rules are unfavourable or hostile toward non-Muslims.

2. Islam is a religion – there is a theme of personal salvation within Islam which gives it some similarities to other religions. However, this is not the main part of Islam. It is mainly a political and legal system with rules concerning the conduct of every imaginable subject from warfare to wiping your bottom. It is both highly political and very personal which may help to explain its huge capacity for taking offence. In a society concerned about discriminating against people on the basis of religion, the religious dimension of Islam can be exploited for political gain.

3. The word “Islam” means “peace” – actually, “Islam” means “submission”. The basic idea is that perfect submission to the will of Allah brings peace. How do Muslims know the will of Allah? By studying what Muhammad said and did. What did Muhammad say and do? He brought new lands under the control of Islam and told his followers to do the same. So Muslims bring new lands under the control of Islam. When the whole world submits to the will of Allah, there will be “peace”, as Islam defines it.

In the past, Islam conquered new lands by following Muhammad’s example of military conquest. Today, this is less feasible so Islam follows Muhammad’s example of migration (al-Hijra). This is a 3 step process: (a) migrate (b) multiply (c) dominate. (b) is achieved by new arrivals, having large families, and converting the host population. (c) is achieved by subversion, increasing intimidation, then revolution. (a), (b) and (c) are mutually reinforcing. For example, the power achieved through (b) and (c) can be used to block controls on (a) migration.

4. Because most Muslims are not violent it must mean that Islam is not violent

The perception that most Muslims are not violent will depend on where you live. In those countries where Muslims are more dominant, they tend to be more aggressive. As a rule of thumb, where Muslims are a minority they are less violent. This goes back to the birth of Islam: when Muhammad had a small band of followers in Mecca, the message he gave them was peaceful and tolerant (“Let there be no compulsion in religion” is a favourite from this period); when he migrated to Medina and established dominance he and his followers became more violent (“Kill the unbelievers wherever ye find them” is a favourite from this period). The message he taught after migrating to Medina is saturated with violence. The principle here is that when Muslims are in a weak position, the Meccan message is uppermost; when they are dominant, the Medinan message is unleashed.

In effect, Islam is both violent and tolerant: when circumstances dictate, it is driven by the Meccan message; but, when circumstances allow, it switches to the Medinan message. Being a “good” Muslim and doing what’s right for Islam will change accordingly.

5. The best person to ask about Islam is a Muslim

About 90% of Muslims know very little about Islam. Most Muslims do not study Islam for themselves; they get their opinions ready-made from their leaders and from sermons of mullahs in mosques. They don’t have an in-depth knowledge especially about their Prophet. Many Muslims are also in denial about the real nature of Islam. But they are completely aware of ultimate Islamic objective, in obedience to Allah, is world under Islamic law. Coming to believe that Koran is literal word from Allah, they think there is nothing wrong with it, in fact it is beneficial to humanity.

Given what has been said about the Meccan and the Medinan messages, how do you know which message your Muslim is familiar with? And, if your Muslim knows the Medinan message is he/she going to tell you? There is a longstanding principle of using deception to protect the faith and the faithful in Islam which, as with all things Islamic, goes back to Muhammad’s own example.

It does not matter who will win in West Bengal assembly elections

For Hindus, it must be like choosing between deep blue sea and devil - as both the main contenders are pseudo secular and lacking any sort of vision - but exit polls say Trinamool Congress under Ms Mamta Banerjee is going to end 30 years of uninterrupted leftist rule.

So, will Hindus be able to reverse the trend of their decline under the new Govt.or at least arrest the Islamization of West Bengal? I doubt it because those who have watched Ms Mamta Banerjee's political career know that she is the friend and darling of Islamists.

With Muslims forming 27% of population of West Bengal, they always played a key role. Previously, majority of them did support and vote for CPI(M)-lead-leftist-coalition. It is clear that majority of them now support Trinamool Congress - probably might have voted for it too - and this shift was admitted by CPI(M) itself. It felt that it could turn the tide by giving reservations (12% (about) and for Muslims) and looked other way when Islamists were engaging in systematic violence to evict Hindus from their ancestral lands in the border districts. But Ms Mamta Banerjee outclassed CPI (M) as she readily gave tickets to Islamists; both the parties were in a kind of tug of war to attract Muslim vote bank.

One reason for decisive shift was, cited by (Late) Jyoti Basu, the way the state Govt. handled Priyanka-Rizwanur episode (Rizwanur killed by state police). If this was indeed the reason, it equally shows how skin deep Muslims commitment to secularism and pluralism is; just one incident! a strictly personal and family issue turned in to deliberately communal issue - fed by media to show their liberal and secular character (never mind that they stayed silent when Hindus were killed) - by Islamists from both the parties.

Some analysts say that findings of Sarkaria commission on state of Muslims and their representation in public sector was the reason as Muslims overall felt that they were let down by CPI(M). We all need to forget how CPI (M) gave ration cards and identity cards to illegal immigrant Muslims from Bangladesh settling in West Bengal!

If CPI (M) calculated that this would ensure support of Islamists forever, it got it wrong; Islamists can not be appeased unless West Bengal is turned in to Muslim majority state and Hindus of West Bengal accept dhimmitude. Of course, CPI (M) will never learn the lesson and left-coalition probably will never come to power on their own again. In all likelihood, an Islamic party will emerge in the state like the one emerged in Assam and this will be the one which will decide every thing.

Islamists will be much more aggressive in their campaign to turn West Bengal in to some kind of state for Muslims and incidents of violence will increase significantly under the government of Ms Mamta Banerjee. I always said- many time here in this blog itself -, "what has started under leftists will be finished under Ms Mamta Banerjee."

'Jamaat-e-Islami Hind' all set to launch political party

Name suggests it is an Islamic organization. When it was founded, prior to independence, by Maududi - celebrated Islamic scholar of subcontinent - its name was Jamaat-e-Islaami. After independence, Maududi along with his organization moved to Pakistan; what was left in India of that organization called it self 'Jamaat-e-Islami Hind'.

This separation is only to fool Indians and Hindus because Jamaat-e-Islaami (one must read this) does not hide its original objective of bringing entire Indian subcontinent under Islamic rule (Sharia Law) as once it was, at least according to them, by using all means available, violence and stealth jihad (meaning peaceful activities like conversion through false propaganda, high birth rates and immigration and probably love jihad).

But, Jamaat-e-Islaami Hind wants to make India an Islamic republic only through peaceful means as it states in its website :

If Muslims have faith in the efficacy of Islam, which has been a potent force for the good of mankind throughout the ages, it is not only the necessary demand of their faith, but also their altruistic duty to propagate its principles, especially at a time when the country is in search of a stable basis for building the edifice of its life.

It belligerently states constitution - in its defense - giving freedom of religion which includes propagation and proselytizing of one's religion. Should principle of freedom of religion justify changing very nature of a society? Should Muslims succeed to turn Indian in to Muslim majority republic under Sharia using principle of freedom of religion, that very principle of freedom of religion comes to an end under Sharia.

In summary, Muslims and organizations like Jamaat-e-Islaami Hind use our own freedoms and laws to end freedom completely.

Is Jamaat-e-Islaami Hind a radical Islamic organization? Sure, it has a radical agenda but very much a part of their religion, meaning there is nothing really radical about it. However, Congress(I) says it is a radical Islamic outfit (here, here):

NEW DELHI: The Line of Control could turn red-hot once again. Even as disclosures by Guantanamo Bay detainees show al-Qaida had plans to bomb an Indian airliner and that Pakistan army and ISI have for long been directly involved in training and directing anti-India terrorists, Indian security forces are bracing for a "hot" summer in Kashmir and elsewhere.

Latest intelligence inputs show over 100 terrorists are waiting at the "launch pads" along the LoC to infiltrate into J&K, with another 700-800 militants holed up in different terror-training camps in Pakistan.

This comes even as a fresh set of US cables released by Wikileaks has reinforced the direct links between ISI and anti-India terror outfits like Laskhar-eTaiba, which even hold that the Pakistan army plays a role in selecting the targets to be attacked.

The US records, based on the interrogation reports of 779 prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, also clearly show that Washington was well aware that Pakistan's security establishment was running terror-training camps directed against India.

Abdul Azia, an al-Qaida courier and LeT operative from Algeria arrested by the US in 2002, for instance, is quoted as saying that ISI "allowed" militants to sneak inside India to bomb, kidnap or kill Kashmiri people. His mission, he said, was to "kill Indians in India".

Other detainees held that al-Qaida, apart from the plan to bomb an Indian airliner, was interested in India as "a platform to send operatives to the US or UK because of the large Muslim population there and the low-level of scrutiny given to travellers of Indian nationality".

Indian security and intelligence agencies maintain that there are still 34 'active' and eight 'holding' camps operational across the border. The 'active' camps in PoK range from those in Kotli, Garhi Dupatta, Nikial, Forward Kahutta and Peer Chinasi to the ones in Jhandi Chauntra, Bhimbher, Barnala, Skardu and Abdullah Bin Masud. The North-West Frontier Province also remains a prominent centre for training jihadis, especially in the densely-forested and hilly Manshera region.

The recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan – thrice in two weeks – are seen as attempts to infiltrate terrorists into J&K. Absolute dhimmitude is taken as exemplary Indian secularism by Hindus in this country. So, the aim is to extend implementation of sharia law to the fullest from partial implementation , in place now i.e. regarding personnel law. The best way to start this process is also giving complete freedom to Muslims in their personnel laws so that they procreate and multiply, demographic jihad, to a point where sharia law becomes inevitable. Typical consequence of Nehru's secularism and success of Nehru's vision to create an Islamic republic.

Here, the Delhi court has no other alternative because nullifying that divorce or any other judgement will only invite cries of Islamists that Muslims are being oppressed by state interference in their religious affairs and also accompanied by threats of violence from likes of Bukhari. But the worry is not this; it is how secular Hindu leaders from Congress (I) and likes of Mulayam Singh will react to such legal pronouncements. No prizes for guessing how those reactions will be.

A Delhi court has validated divorce given by a Shia Muslim,Sabir Hussain, to his wife Mumtaz through another man appointed by him as his agent to pronounce the word ‘talaq’ in Arabic as he could not speak that language. Additional District Judge Reetesh Singh said Hussain has duly proved that he had obtained divorce from Mumtaz as prescribed under Shia Muslim Law.

It is held under Shia Muslim law that if a husband isn’t conversant with Arabic he can engage/hire an agent to pronounce ‘talaq’ on his behalf in the presence of two witnesses. Mumtaz had contended that to secure divorce under Shia Muslim Law ‘talaq’ should be pronounced only in Arabic, and that by the husband himself. Hussain was married to Mumtaz in 1992. They have two sons and a daughter.

While ‘talaq’ by agent is new, former deputy chief minister of Haryana Chander Mohan, the son of Bhajan Lal,who converted to Islam and called himself Chand Mohammed, is also in the thick of a legal battle overgiving divorce by SMS to his converted wife, a former deputy advocate general of the state. He used the digital means to say `talaq’ to second wife Fiza. Muslim scholars have termed it “unacceptable” and say there is no concept of instant divorce in Islam.

The attacks on Coptic Christians in Egypt used to happen during the reign of Mubarak too. After the overthrow of his Govt., instances of attacks on Christians will only increase, in fact they did increase.

Look at the media! Muslims attack a Church and in 'so called protests', church catches fire and our main stream media describes and reports this whole incident as sectarian clashes. We, Indians, have seen this kind of ugly reporting - probably much worse - from our media too e.g. the case of Islamic Jihad in Deganga.

Cairo, Egypt (CNN) -- At least six people were killed and 120 injured in sectarian clashes outside a church in Cairo on Saturday, officials said.

A group of Muslim Salafists attacked the Saint Mena Coptic Orthodox Church. Gunfire rang out as people sprinted for cover.

"With my own eyes I saw three people killed and dozens injured," said Mina Adel, a Christian resident. "There's no security here. There's a big problem. People attacked us, and we have to protect ourselves."
Egyptian Interior Ministry spokesman Alla Mahmoud said in a statement that six people were killed and 120 injured.

He said the clashes were sparked by reports of a Christian woman who married a Muslim man and was allegedly being held inside the church.

State TV, citing a source at the Health Ministry, said that eight people died and 144 were wounded in the violence.

Nearby, firefighters responded to a blaze at the Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church. Hundreds of residents stood outside as it burned and two men were seen jumping from a window of the building.
Authorities sent soldiers and police to help secure the area.

Tensions have risen this year between Egypt's Muslim majority and its Coptic minority.
A Coptic church in the town of Alexandria was bombed on New Year's Day, killing 23 people -- the deadliest attack on Christians in Egypt in recent times.

Ten days later, a gunman killed a Christian man and wounded five other Christians on a train in Egypt.

In November, a group with ties to al Qaeda in Iraq announced that all Christians in the Middle East would be "legitimate targets," as the group's deadline for Egypt's Coptic church to release alleged Muslim female prisoners expired.

The group's claim that the Coptic Church in Egypt is holding female prisoners is based on widespread rumors of Coptic women in Egypt converting to Islam and being detained by the church in an attempt to compel or persuade them to return to their original faith..........

Geelani, a Kashmiri separatist: Bin Laden is a martyr

Kashmir is a part of India for name sake, where Indian flag can not even flutter on republic day and normal laws and principles of secularism do not apply. So, when Geelani expresses outrageous Islamic sentiments, there is nothing that those fake secular politicians or pseudo intellectuals can do; and it becomes trivial. These trivial issues are insignificant before observations made by secular leaders of India.

Latest one is, Digvijay Singh addressing Osama as Osamaji and denouncing US for not giving Osama a proper Islamic burial. When secular leaders and some Muslims are shouting from roof tops that Osama is not a Muslim and his abominable acts are un-Islamic, why will some one try to make such statements! The reasons should be politically motivated - in this case, it becomes clear that appealing to sentiments of Muslims trumps all values - or the person should be insane.

But, Geelani, quite well, has some lessons to offer about Islam to infidel-ignorant-politicians in his latest diatribe and I hope they see it (here):

Hardline Kashmir separatist group Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani has planned to lead last rite prayers in absentia on Friday in Srinagar for slain al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Fearing trouble, the police have restricted Geelani's movement on Thursday. "All religious figures, heads and people in general are appealed to perform Nimaz Jinazah (last rites) in absentia after Friday prayers for the martyr (Laden). All should also pray for an end of foreign occupation and rule in Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq and Kashmir," said 82-year-old Geelani.

Geelani has emerged only leader from Kashmir separatists' spectrum to publicly call Laden a "martyr". But Geelani was quick to add the 9/11 attacks on the US was "an act of terrorism".

"All Muslims across the globe are brothers. It's the duty of every Muslim to pray for forgiveness and for the best hereafter life for the departed soul of a Muslim," said Geelani, whose house was circled by the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday, fearing him taking out a pro-Laden procession in the valley.

"The slain Laden had entire Muslim world's pain in him. He (Laden) left the life of leisure for the downtrodden and suppressed Muslims of the world. So it’s our duty to repay his good deeds by praying for him," said Geelani.

The Hurriyat chairman is scheduled to perform prayers on Friday at Srinagar's Batamaloo area. "Geelani sahib would lead a special prayers session for Laden. But since 7am on Thursday, the police disallowed Geelani to move out of his house," said Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar.

Geelani resides in Srinagar's uptown area of Hyderpora. The police have deployed vehicles at the approach lane of Geelani's house and fanned out policemen in the area. Geelani was asked by the police not to venture out of his house till further orders.

There has been no street reaction to the killing of Laden by the US forces inside Pakistan on last Sunday night. Most people have distanced themselves from expressing any sympathy for the Qaeda leader till date.

Geelani, however, has condemned the US for burying the body of Laden at the sea, terming it "an act of Stone Age times."

The ailing Kashmiri separatist leader went ahead and said: "Laden was not just a name of a person but of an ideology and thinking against occupation of Muslim lands by foreigners."

Islamic 'radicalism' or 'extremism' did not start with Osama Bin Laden or Al-Qaeda; it did not start with - as many ignorant critics say - US supplying arms and training to so called mujahideen fighting against soviet occupation of Afghanistan; it did not start with founding of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt by Al-Banna (though modern day Islamic movement can be traced to this singular event). It started in the early 7th century in deserts of Saudi Arabia when one man thought of his hallucinations as divine message.

So, it is not going to vanish with death of Osama Bin Laden as the ideology behind it is very well kicking and more potent than ever. It is more dangerous because it, in the present day world, protects itself behind the cloak of religion. Here, I just put up reported 'reactions' from Islamic organizations.

This is the typical result of combination of vote bank politics, political correctness and complete ignorance about Islam, its beliefs and its doctrines. As long as people remain clueless about Islam and its teachings, monsters like Osama Bin Laden keep emerging.

To be more precise, this kind of act is a publicity stunt to get attention of Muslims who believe that Osama Bin Laden is not a terrorist, in the first place, and also to stamp his secular and liberal credentials.

Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi today said slain al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden "took to extremism' as a means to establish the theory he was indoctrinated with and the path chosen by him cannot be labelled as 'Islamic terrorism.'

"His teacher had taught him that history is written with nothing other than blood; that fame is built on skulls and only dead bodies and skeletons formed the base of honour and pride. He accepted this in toto and took to extremism as a tool to establish it during his lifetime," the DMK patriarch said.

Writing in party mouthpiece Murasoli, he said many had attempted to brand this (path of extremism) as 'Islamic terrorism.'

"This is not acceptable. Islam is synonymous with peace. (Prophet) Muhammed had laid down that Islam is a path of peace and tolerance and that every Muslim should be in peace with God and human," he said.

Islam does not mean peace; Islam means submission; submission to Allah's will as it exists in Koran. There is a perfect word for peace in Arabic and that is 'salam'. Islam meaning 'submission' can be verified from Koran itself:

Peace in Islam comes only when every one on this earth either follows Islam (Muslims) or subject themselves to Islamic rule by paying jizya (non-Muslims) and live like subhumans. Koran explicitly states what kind of relations should exist between Muslims and non Muslims, like in the following verse:

Al-Hilali (9:29): Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Regarding Prophet Mohammad teaching tolerance, nothing can be further from truth than this kind of stupidity as following shows what he said:

Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform that, then they save their lives and property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah." (Sahih Bukhari; vol 1, book 2, # 25)

Arguing that any form of terrorism - right-wing, left-wing or ultra-nationalist - should be 'nipped in the bud,' he said history ''shows extremists are there in every religion.''

"There is no second opinion that they should be punished. However just the anger may be, but justifiying extremism is not fair. Bin Laden's end proves the saying that one who takes to violence will die by violent means. (DMK founder) the late CN Annadurai had also said that one should not take to violence," he said.

Islamists do not see this as simple violence; they see this as holy war (Jihad) and it is the dearest institution to Islamic god Allah. They do indulge in this holy war - a pious act, according to them - to get nearer to their god. They see it as struggle between good (Islam) and evil (non-Muslims). Ayman al-Zawahiri, now al-Qaeda's presumed leader, once summarized this phenomenon well. Asked in an interview about the status of bin Laden and the Taliban's Mullah Omar, he confidently replied:
Jihad in the path of Allah is greater than any individual or organization. It is a struggle between Truth and Falsehood, until Allah Almighty inherits the earth and those who live in it. Mullah Muhammad Omar and Sheikh Osama bin Laden — may Allah protect them from all evil — are merely two soldiers of Islam in the journey of jihad, while the struggle between Truth [Islam] and Falsehood [non-Islam] transcends time (The Al Qaeda Reader, p.182).

'Who says Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist?', Leaders of Indian Muslims ask

Who is a terrorist? The one who is involved in acts of terrorism.

The definition of terrorism is: "There is no universally agreed, legally binding, criminal law definition of terrorism. Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for a religious, political or ideological goal, deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians), and are committed by non-government agencies." This is fair definition and enough to incriminate Islamic God 'Allah' and his 'Prophet Mohammad' as terrorists as following passages suggest:

When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.(SHAKIR; 8.12)

And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do. (Al-Hilali; 8.39)

Above passages should give some insight in to what Islam is really; remember that I am not saying Islam is calling for complete obliteration of all non Muslims but, it wants to impose Islamic superiority over all other religions by making non Muslims pay Jizya and live like second class citizens as below passages suggests:

It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it). (Al-Hilali; 9.033)

That is precisely, Osama said, "What are we calling you to, and what do we want from you? The first thing that we are calling you to is Islam...." (here)

Islamists are not hiding their purpose of their fighting i.e. whole world being ruled under sharia law. They justify their actions, violent or non violent, on the basis of teachings from Koran and traditions of Prophet Mohammad, just like presented passages (above) say. But it is us who are not listening to what Islamists and terrorists are saying, thinking that terrorists represent a perversion of Islam and are a tiny fraction of Muslims. Views of Osama Bin Laden or any other Islamist perfectly fit in to main stream Islam.

On other hand, having seen Osama Bin Laden saying he was fighting for Islamic cause and with justifications from verses from Koran, aren't those, who are supporting him in any manner, Islamic extremists?

'Who says Osama was a terrorist?'

The most wanted terrorist of the world, Osama bin Laden's killing by American operatives in Pakistan has not pleased all in India. A section of prominent Indian Muslim leaders have come to question the claim that Laden was a terrorist.

As the news broke of Osama bin Laden's death in an American operation in Abbotabad in Pakistan, Muslim organisations in India initially reacted with incredulity, citing US operations in Tora Bora as a precedent where claims of Osama's death had later been proved to be false.

It took statements from home minister P Chidambaram and Pakistani MP Sherry Rehman to convince them of the veracity of these reports. Once the news sank in, the prominent Muslim leaders said that Bin Laden was definitely not a terrorist but a one-time American ally with whom relations had soured because he had lost his utility.

Does this mean that our home minister called these 'secular' and Islamic leaders to tell them it is all real? I will not be surprised if he did. I am just looking for what Mulayam Singh Yadav said on this?

Syed Ahmed Bukhari, Imam of Jama Masjid said: "When did any court of law in the world convict Laden of terrorist activities. It is only America's assertion and that of the NATO that he was one. Why should we believe them. As for the government of India's reactions, I would want to know their views on what is happeninhg in Palestine even now when thousands of Muslims are being killed by Israel with the American help. The killing is a continuation of the US interference in Libya, Iraq and Palestine."

Thousands are being killed? That is what they preach to gullible masses. This pathetic 'devil' Bukhari will not be accepting any other court than a sharia court. One can only imagine how many, by now, Congress leaders have rushed to this 'devil' to explain Govt.'s position (like they did in the past, here and here).

Maulana Arshad Madani, president of one faction of the Jamiat-ulama-i-Hind said: "Who created Osama? Americans did to exterminate the Russians. Now that their need has been fulfilled they term Osama who was at one point their best friend, a terrorist. It is symptomatic of the American way of functioning."

Giving weapons does not amount to saying fight and bring the world under Islamic law which is the aim of Osama and his ilk like Bukhari and Madani.

There was however some resentment about the fact that he was in Pakistan. Imam Bukhari says it proves the contention that ISI gives shelter to terrorists. "I am not saying Osama was a terrorist but the fact that outfits like JEM and Let have bank accounts in the US show that the Us and ISI jointly sponsor the acts of terrorism in India."

So, he makes him self eligible for for all those invitations to secular meetings by saying something on ISI! Terrorists having bank accounts in US shows how stealthy and deadly they are and nature of extent of their reach. But, morons can not get it.

Much worse is, even our so called intellectuals and secular-liberals will never have any problem of identifying with and working with such elements as thy did in the case of Ayodhya where they literally associated with an ideology which gave rise to Taliban.

I am sure there are many more Indians who have a very low opinion about these shady characters; but recently, a dangerous trend has started in Indian Media asking these morons and traitors for their opinions on every issue and reporting them.

I hate to say that there are always more than enough easily gullible people who are influenced by views of these idiots e.g. when Sharukh Khan said, "He read Koran and no where it sanctions killing of innocents." Just imagine the influence such blatant lie has on people.

Sure, like every other citizen, they are entitled to have their opinions and can express them in twitter, no objections to this. But much better would be they sticking to their show business and leave ordinary people to their own affairs.
