An Exemplary Imam from Florida

In addition to providing money to Taliban, when fighters in Afghanistan had killed seven American soldiers, Imam Khan “declared his wish that 'Allah' bring death to 50,000 Americans more.”

Many times in this blog, I mentioned and have written about Taqiyya or doctrine of Taqiyya. It is simply about Allah telling Muslims that they can lie to non-Muslims to advance Islamic cause i.e. for realizing ultimate Islamic goal of the whole world governed under Sharia law. For literal meaning, one can read from Tafsir of Ibn Kathir. Classical Islamic scholar Ibn Kathir writes that believers, who fear for their safety from disbelievers, are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly [or for the purpose of advancing Islam]. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda' said, "We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.''  How about smiling and waging Jihad behind?

If Jihad means striving to impose sharia law on the world by any means, Taqiyya [Doctrine of Taqiyya] simply extends the scope of means of Jihad.

We see this practice of Taqiyya in present day world when Muslim representatives and spokesmen in non-Muslim majority nations consistently keep misguiding non-Muslims on notions of Islamic peace, Jihad, institutions of dhimma and Sharia and with statements like Islam respects all religions and guarantees freedom of religion.

Recently in Florida, three people (one Imam and his two sons) of Pakistani origin - two of them being Imams - were arrested on charges of supporting terrorism through raising funds for Taliban (here).

It is the dual life of father - 76 year old with the name Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan (also a imam) - that merits attention of non-Muslims.

In one life, he was calm and gives peaceful sermons in the mosque and stresses that Islam is non-violent and peaceful; Miami Herald writes (here or here):

Unlike other U.S. Muslims who have been accused of supporting terrorism or engaging in terrorist acts, Imam Khan is a well-known and respected figure in Miami. He did not keep to the shadows, as have other terrorist suspects, and his public life yielded no clue that he might be involved in radical activity. Instead, he led prayers at a mosque five times a day and counseled the faithful. Instead of delivering jihadist sermons, the 76-year-old religious leader preached the traditional, mainstream version of Islam that rejects violence and stresses peace and the sanctity of life. By all accounts, he is habitually soft-spoken and avoids harsh language.

How can Miami herald come to the opinion that what he was preaching in mosque is mainstream Islam? Call it ignorance and constrains of political correctness. 

His other life includes raising money to fund activities of Taliban - $50,000 in transactions - to buy guns, to support militants families and supporting cause of Taliban. Besides this, charges also include that imam opened a madrassa in swat valley that shelters members of Pakistan's Taliban and tranis children to become militants or suicide bombers, like this report suggests.

“Despite being an Imam, or spiritual leader, Hafiz Khan was by no means a man of peace.   Instead, as today’s charges show, he acted with others to support terrorists to further acts of murder, kidnapping and maiming.   But for law enforcement intervention, these defendants would have continued to transfer funds to Pakistan to finance the Pakistani Taliban, including its purchase of guns........the defendants sought to aid the Pakistani Taliban’s fight against the Pakistani government and its perceived allies, including the United States, by supporting acts of murder, kidnapping and maiming in Pakistan and elsewhere, in order to displace the lawful government of Pakistan and to establish strict Islamic law known as Sharia.” 

And also:

.......On another occasion in September 2010, Hafiz Khan participated in a conversation in which he stated that he would provide that individual with contact information for Pakistani Taliban militants in Karachi, and upon hearing that mujahideen in Afghanistan had killed seven American soldiers, declared his wish that 'Allah' kill 50,000 more.

When ever a terrorist act takes place or is averted, immediate response from many Islamic organizations and main stream media is about 'fearing backlash against Muslim community'. A nice way to scuttle any discussion on Islam in this politically correct world!

Islamic practice: Say one thing to liberal infidels and its opposite to Muslims, even on lesbianism

Islamic law prescribes death penalty for people practicing sodomy (lesbianism) as following hadiths report on Prophet Mohammad saying:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done. (Abu Dawud; 38:4447)

If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death. (Abu Dawud; 38:4448)

As the first hadith refers to people of Lot, lets see from Koran on these people:

7.80-84 (YUSUF ALI): We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?; "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.; And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!" ; But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind. ; And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!

Some more verses from Koran on abnormal sexual practices: 

4.16(YUSUFALI): If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone; for Allah is Oft-returning, Most Merciful. (Note 1: In the verse 4:15, Allah prescribes punishment of confining women to houses until death for women committing lewdness and there is no repentance and forgiving.)

26.165-172 (YUSUF ALI): "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!"...........But the rest We destroyed utterly.  

The problem, right now, is not with what Islam is saying on lesbianism but with how Muslims deceive non-Muslims on every subject like Jihad, Sharia, Dhimmitude and Lesbianism by saying one thing to infidels for media appearance and its opposite to Muslims in mosques, seminaries or Islamic media.  Another instance of this kind of double speaking was reported from Britain with regard to appearance of posters with messages of hate towards gays in the streets of London (here) and also declaring locality as Gay Free Zone.

Immediate reactions in some quarters was that miscreants could be from white racists of English Defense League (EDL) to damage the image of Islam further in public. Later, police have arrested a 18 year old person in this connection, also in possession of similar posters. But, certain media reporting on this has not bothered to give identity and name of the arrested person (here); I came to know that culprit is a Muslim by reading comments.

When media trumped up the possibility of EDL being involved in this incident, why do they hide the details of arrested person from public? Some kind of media regulations envisaging Muslims as victims.....it must be.

Coming to the actual story, certain Muslims leader from East London Mosque condemned these posters and stated that Muslims stand against all forms of hatred. As often the case with Islamic organizations, here too, it was found that East London Mosque is speaking with split tongue (here):

The East London Mosque, that legendary home of tolerance and moderation,  has condemned a series of posters which have appeared in its local area, Tower Hamlets, containing a Koranic invocation and declaring the borough a “gay-free zone.” Dilowar Khan, the mosque’s director, was quoted in a council press release saying: “We stand together with our fellow citizens against all forms of hatred, including homophobia. We are committed to building strong and cohesive communities in Tower Hamlets, and our strength is that we will not let incidents of hate divide us.”

As so often, however, the East London Mosque speaks with forked tongue. Yesterday, it was due to demonstrate its deep commitment to “standing together against homophobia” by hosting a gala dinner with one Uthman Lateef, a homophobic preacher who has stated: “We don’t accept homosexuality… we hate it because Allah hates it.”

Mr Lateef is one of at least half a dozen homophobic preachers hosted or promoted by the East London Mosque, three of whom have been officially invited to deliver the Friday sermon. In 2007, as my Dispatches programme on the East London Mosque disclosed, a “Spot The Fag” contest was staged at the mosque. In recent years, there has been a sharp rise in homophobic hate crimes in Tower Hamlets – something which simply cannot be unconnected to the fact that hatred of gay people is allowed to be openly and regularly expressed inside one of the area’s most prominent institutions.

The technique of saying one thing designed to appeal to white liberals, while in fact doing the exact opposite, has been brought to a fine pitch by Islamists generally, and the East London Mosque in particular. The mosque’s idea of “standing against hatred” involves hosting literally dozens of hate, extremist and terrorist preachers on its premises – most famously, the al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. It now claims to have banished hate preachers from its building – but, as this blog has documented, continues to welcome them almost every month.

Why does the East London Mosque tell such obvious lies? Simply, because lies work. There is a part of liberal white society which would rather ignore or deny the problem of extremism, hatred and bigotry in some parts of some Muslim communities. The lies give them a form of permission to do so.

In that same council press release, the chairs of the Rainbow Hamlets LGBT Community Forum, a local gay group, condemned the anti-gay posters but added: “We also condemn those who use these incidents to create a moral panic and stoke up racist or Islamophobic sentiment. At present the people responsible cannot be accurately determined, but it is clear that whoever is responsible, they do not represent any of the local communities.”

This statement contains at least one palpable untruth, one questionable assumption, and one dubious elision. As any gay man in Tower Hamlets will tell you, and numerous victims of homophobic hate crime in the area have told me, “the people responsible” can be perfectly “accurately determined:” the hostility towards gay people in the borough comes largely from young Bangladeshis.

It seems rather unlikely that posters quoting the Koran were put up by evangelical Christians, yuppies, brogue-wearing trendies or members of the white working class, the other main parts of the Tower Hamlets community. And given the anti-gay activities allowed inside the area’s largest Muslim institution, and the expression of sentiments there almost exactly identical to those on the posters, it’s also hard to know how the LGBT Forum can be quite so confident that the posters are entirely unrepresentative of any of the local communities.

The rise of homophobic hatred in Tower Hamlets, even as the rest of London becomes more tolerant, cannot be solved unless its cause is honestly recognised. It is caused, not by Islam as such (there has, after all, been a huge Muslim community in the borough for more than forty years), but by something much more recent: the growth in the area of radical political Islam – Islamism – under the influence of groups like the East London Mosque and its controlling body, the Islamic Forum of Europe.

Islamism, in the words of one of the IFE cadres secretly filmed during our Dispatches programme, holds that Islam is far more than a religion, but also a prescription for how the whole of society must be. Attacks on gay people and others whose behaviour transgresses the Islamists’ idea of social norms are, therefore, a logical consequence of this. It is neither “racist” nor “Islamophobic” to oppose it.

Raging Controversy on 9/11 Mosque; A Brief on Cordoba House and Imam Rauf.

Last time when world trade center was in the international news, it was about planes hijacked by terrorists crashing in to twin towers and their collapse and killing about 2500 people. After 9 years it was again in the international news for the reason that some one wants to construct a 13 or 15 storied Islamic center with a mosque in it near the Ground zero. Actually proposed site of this Islamic center is about 600 feet (two blocks) away from the ground zero. The cost of this whole project is $100 million. Initially proposed name of this center (mosque) is Cordoba House but this was changed to park 51 to placate the ever increasing opposition from American nationals who have seen the truth and symbolism behind this project.

Koran prohibits friendship between Muslims and Non Muslims; And Taqiyya
