Islamic Paradise, Houris and Sex

People might be wondering why Muslims alone carry out so many suicide bombings (or missions) so often  killing themselves and also others, considered as infidels in their language. One might contemplate  the motivations behind such acts! Sure, there are many reasons behind such acts and one such is attaining entry in to Paradise.

Also, it is not uncommon to come across some prominent Muslims declaring proudly that life in this world is not important but life in ‘hereafter’ [Life after death] is more important in Islamic view e.g. the view of the so called moderate Muslim: Imam Rauf, the brain behind $100 million mega imperial mosque in New York near ground zero.

Or who might proudly declare like this: Americans love Pepsi Cola; we (Muslims) love Death.

Or who might try to blow themselves, including young boys, up to kill others to enter paradise.

Or consider the following verse:
009.038(YUSUFALI): O you who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when you are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, you cling heavily to the earth? Do you prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.
Death, ‘hereafter’ and Paradise! For now, with out getting in to details of ‘hereafter’ lets look at the concept of Paradise as described in Koran and traditions of Prophet Mohammad (hadith). For people with critical minds, this concept of paradise in Islam explains a lot about primitiveness, shrewdness and, more importantly, psychological portrait of Prophet Mohammad.

An Exemplary Imam from Florida

In addition to providing money to Taliban, when fighters in Afghanistan had killed seven American soldiers, Imam Khan “declared his wish that 'Allah' bring death to 50,000 Americans more.”

Many times in this blog, I mentioned and have written about Taqiyya or doctrine of Taqiyya. It is simply about Allah telling Muslims that they can lie to non-Muslims to advance Islamic cause i.e. for realizing ultimate Islamic goal of the whole world governed under Sharia law. For literal meaning, one can read from Tafsir of Ibn Kathir. Classical Islamic scholar Ibn Kathir writes that believers, who fear for their safety from disbelievers, are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly [or for the purpose of advancing Islam]. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda' said, "We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.''  How about smiling and waging Jihad behind?

If Jihad means striving to impose sharia law on the world by any means, Taqiyya [Doctrine of Taqiyya] simply extends the scope of means of Jihad.

We see this practice of Taqiyya in present day world when Muslim representatives and spokesmen in non-Muslim majority nations consistently keep misguiding non-Muslims on notions of Islamic peace, Jihad, institutions of dhimma and Sharia and with statements like Islam respects all religions and guarantees freedom of religion.

Recently in Florida, three people (one Imam and his two sons) of Pakistani origin - two of them being Imams - were arrested on charges of supporting terrorism through raising funds for Taliban (here).

It is the dual life of father - 76 year old with the name Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan (also a imam) - that merits attention of non-Muslims.

In one life, he was calm and gives peaceful sermons in the mosque and stresses that Islam is non-violent and peaceful; Miami Herald writes (here or here):
Unlike other U.S. Muslims who have been accused of supporting terrorism or engaging in terrorist acts, Imam Khan is a well-known and respected figure in Miami. He did not keep to the shadows, as have other terrorist suspects, and his public life yielded no clue that he might be involved in radical activity. Instead, he led prayers at a mosque five times a day and counseled the faithful. Instead of delivering jihadist sermons, the 76-year-old religious leader preached the traditional, mainstream version of Islam that rejects violence and stresses peace and the sanctity of life. By all accounts, he is habitually soft-spoken and avoids harsh language.
How can Miami herald come to the opinion that what he was preaching in mosque is mainstream Islam? Call it ignorance and constrains of political correctness.

His other life includes raising money to fund activities of Taliban - $50,000 in transactions - to buy guns, to support militants families and supporting cause of Taliban. Besides this, charges also include that imam opened a madrassa in swat valley that shelters members of Pakistan's Taliban and tranis children to become militants or suicide bombers, like this report suggests.

Attorney of Department of Justice quotes (here):
Despite being an Imam, or spiritual leader, Hafiz Khan was by no means a man of peace.   Instead, as today’s charges show, he acted with others to support terrorists to further acts of murder, kidnapping and maiming.   But for law enforcement intervention, these defendants would have continued to transfer funds to Pakistan to finance the Pakistani Taliban, including its purchase of guns........the defendants sought to aid the Pakistani Taliban’s fight against the Pakistani government and its perceived allies, including the United States, by supporting acts of murder, kidnapping and maiming in Pakistan and elsewhere, in order to displace the lawful government of Pakistan and to establish strict Islamic law known as Sharia.”
And also:
.......On another occasion in September 2010, Hafiz Khan participated in a conversation in which he stated that he would provide that individual with contact information for Pakistani Taliban militants in Karachi, and upon hearing that mujahideen in Afghanistan had killed seven American soldiers, declared his wish that 'Allah' kill 50,000 more.
When ever a terrorist act takes place or is averted, immediate response from many Islamic organizations and main stream media is about 'fearing backlash against Muslim community'. A nice way to scuttle any discussion on Islam in this politically correct world!

What they (Islamic groups) said on Laden's death

Islamic 'radicalism' or 'extremism' did not start with Osama Bin Laden or Al-Qaeda; it did not start with - as many ignorant critics say - US supplying arms and training to so called mujahideen fighting against soviet occupation of Afghanistan; it did not start with founding of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt by Al-Banna (though modern day Islamic movement can be traced to this singular event). It started in the early 7th century in deserts of Saudi Arabia when one man thought of his hallucinations as divine message.

So, it is not going to vanish with death of Osama Bin Laden as the ideology behind it is very well kicking and more potent than ever. It is more dangerous because it, in the present day world, protects itself behind the cloak of religion. Here, I just put up reported 'reactions' from Islamic organizations.

'Who says Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist?', Leaders of Indian Muslims ask

Who is a terrorist? The one who is involved in acts of terrorism.

The definition of terrorism is: "There is no universally agreed, legally binding, criminal law definition of terrorism. Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for a religious, political or ideological goal, deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians), and are committed by non-government agencies."  (according to Wikipedia)

This is fair definition and enough to incriminate Islamic God 'Allah' and his 'Prophet Mohammad' as terrorists as following passages suggest:
When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.(SHAKIR; 8.12)
And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do. (Al-Hilali; 8.39)
Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."(Sahih Bukhari; vol 1, book 2, # 25)
Above passages should give some insight in to what Islam is really; remember that I am not saying Islam is calling for complete obliteration of all non Muslims but, it wants to impose Islamic superiority over all other religions by making non Muslims pay Jizya and live like second class citizens as below passages suggests:
It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it). (Al-Hilali; 9.033)
Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.(Al-Hilali; 9.29)
That is precisely, Osama said, "What are we calling you to, and what do we want from you? The first thing that we are calling you to is Islam...." (here)

Islamists are not hiding their purpose of their fighting i.e. whole world being ruled under sharia law. They justify their actions, violent or non violent, on the basis of teachings from Koran and traditions of Prophet Mohammad, just like presented passages (above) say. But it is us who are not listening to what Islamists and terrorists are saying, thinking that terrorists represent a perversion of Islam and are a tiny fraction of Muslims. Views of Osama Bin Laden or any other Islamist perfectly fit in to main stream Islam.

On other hand, having seen Osama Bin Laden saying he was fighting for Islamic cause and with justifications from verses from Koran, aren't those, who are supporting him in any manner, Islamic extremists?

'Who says Osama was a terrorist?'
The most wanted terrorist of the world, Osama bin Laden's killing by American operatives in Pakistan has not pleased all in India. A section of prominent Indian Muslim leaders have come to question the claim that Laden was a terrorist.
As the news broke of Osama bin Laden's death in an American operation in Abbotabad in Pakistan, Muslim organisations in India initially reacted with incredulity, citing US operations in Tora Bora as a precedent where claims of Osama's death had later been proved to be false.
It took statements from home minister P Chidambaram and Pakistani MP Sherry Rehman to convince them of the veracity of these reports. Once the news sank in, the prominent Muslim leaders said that Bin Laden was definitely not a terrorist but a one-time American ally with whom relations had soured because he had lost his utility.
Does this mean that our home minister called these 'secular' and Islamic leaders to tell them it is all real? I will not be surprised if he did. I am just looking for what Mulayam Singh Yadav said on this?
Syed Ahmed Bukhari, Imam of Jama Masjid said: "When did any court of law in the world convict Laden of terrorist activities. It is only America's assertion and that of the NATO that he was one. Why should we believe them. As for the government of India's reactions, I would want to know their views on what is happeninhg in Palestine even now when thousands of Muslims are being killed by Israel with the American help. The killing is a continuation of the US interference in Libya, Iraq and Palestine."
Thousands are being killed? That is what they preach to gullible masses. This pathetic 'devil' Bukhari will not be accepting any other court than a sharia court. One can only imagine how many, by now, Congress leaders have rushed to this 'devil' to explain Govt.'s position (like they did in the past, here and here).
Maulana Arshad Madani, president of one faction of the Jamiat-ulama-i-Hind said: "Who created Osama? Americans did to exterminate the Russians. Now that their need has been fulfilled they term Osama who was at one point their best friend, a terrorist. It is symptomatic of the American way of functioning."
Giving weapons does not amount to saying fight and bring the world under Islamic law which is the aim of Osama and his ilk like Bukhari and Madani.
There was however some resentment about the fact that he was in Pakistan. Imam Bukhari says it proves the contention that ISI gives shelter to terrorists. "I am not saying Osama was a terrorist but the fact that outfits like JEM and Let have bank accounts in the US show that the Us and ISI jointly sponsor the acts of terrorism in India."
So, he makes him self eligible for for all those invitations to secular meetings by saying something on ISI! Terrorists having bank accounts in US shows how stealthy and deadly they are and nature of extent of their reach. But, morons can not get it.
}}}

Never mind this kind of statements or policy statements by our supposedly secular Muslims leaders; our political leaders and media will continue to hobnob with people like Bukhari and Madani. Much worse is, even our so called intellectuals and secular-liberals will never have any problem of identifying with and working with such elements as thy did in the case of Ayodhya where they literally associated with an ideology which gave rise to Taliban.

Osama Bin Laden is dead; so what?

Osama Bin Laden. Founder of Al-Qaeda. Master mind behind 9/11 and many other attacks against USA.

He was killed.

And he was buried at sea [or how it took place] (....Burying bin Laden's body at sea would ensure that his final resting place does not become a shrine and a place of pilgrimage for his followers, ABC television reported earlier......).

Where was he killed? In Pakistan! Didn't Pakistani leaders say, countless times, that Osama Bin Laden is not in Pakistan!

He was found and killed in a mansion outside Islamabad and near Pakistan Military academy. huh.... Paki-philes in India will not like this information and hate that this information was reported by media.
BBC reports: It is just 800 yards from the Pakistan Military Academy, an elite military training centre, which correspondents say is Pakistan's equivalent to Britain's Sandhurst military training academy.
The compound lies within Abbottabad's military cantonment - it is likely the area would have had a constant and significant military presence and checkpoints.
Deccan Herald reports:  ....The house were Osama was holed is just 100 yards from the gate of the Kakul Military Academy, an army run institution where top officers train......
And the building was custom built to house someone of very significance (here): "A large mansion in a massive compound with 12 feet to 18 feet tall walls topped with barbed wire. No telephone or internet connection to the house. And seldom seen residents who burnt their trash rather than dispose it as other neighbors did."

Neighbors describe the compound Osama lived in ( a BBC report):
A sleepy suburb of the peaceful hill resort of Abbottabad nestling in the Orash valley in north-west Pakistan was the unlikely setting for Osama Bin Laden's demise. In the dead of night, residents of the middle-class area, home to retired army officers and businessmen, woke to a helicopter gunfight, which filled them with dread. Residents told me they knew immediately that if any home in their midst was going to be the target of an attack, it would be the private, secure compound protected by barbed wire and whose furtive residents were rarely seen or heard.....
Still, Pakistan's media and Govt. would like every one believe that Pakistan's Military was not helping Al-Qaeda and Taliban. Of course, they can always blame on 'some elements with in establishment'.

How was the dead body identified as Bin Laden's? (here)
When his sister, who has not been named, died from brain cancer several years ago in Boston the FBI immediately subpoenaed her body so that it could later be used to identify the al-Qaeda leader if he was caught, it was claimed. The brain was preserved and tissue and blood samples taken from it were used to compile a DNA profile, ABC News reported. The tissue sample was reportedly then matched to the DNA of the man shot dead by US troops in a raid on bin Laden's compound in Pakistan.
Pakistan was not given a saving face, says a report:
US President Barack Obama shot down the Pakistani security establishment's attempt to claim joint credit for the operation. In a ten-minute television address, Obama left no doubt that US personnel alone were involved in the action that brought bin Laden to justice. ''Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan,'' Obama said, adding, ''A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability.''.......he made no mention of any Pakistani military role in the operation. US officials in background briefing made it clear that no country, much less Pakistan, was informed of the operation. ..In fact, there was not even a word of thanks for Pakistan....The finger of suspicion is now pointing squarely at the Pakistani military and intelligence for sheltering and protecting Osama bin Laden before US forces hunted him down and put a bullet in his head in the wee hours of Sunday. The coordinates of the action and sequence of events indicate that the al-Qaida fugitive may have been killed in an ISI safehouse.
But still, how will the events unfold in the coming days? Get a nice feeling by reading from here :
"While we are awaiting details on this cooperation, initial reports suggest Pakistan's role in the operation was important and thus will be deeply appreciated by US officials," said Lisa Curtis of the Heritage Foundation, a Washington-based think-tank...."This could be a turning point in the US-Pakistan counter-terrorism partnership. Many in Washington had begun to doubt Pakistan's commitment to fighting terrorism. But this historic development is likely to foster a tremendous amount of goodwill from Washington toward Islamabad and bolster the relationship," Curtis said.
From the perspective of cnn, 'Death may be turning point in U.S.-Pakistan relations' :
"The death of Osama bin Laden could prove to be a turning point in United States-Pakistani counterterrorism cooperation. But whether it is for better or for worse remains to be seen..........."
With his death, only fools believe that troubles are over; and most are even ignorant about objectives of Al-Qaeda. One needs to remember that terror is means to achieve goals and it is not a goal as such. How significant his death is? One can read what Robert Spencer says on this:
{{{
Osama Gets His Virgins

Osama bin Laden has gone to the great bordello in the sky that awaits every good jihadi.

Barack Obama explained that the jihadist mastermind was killed in a “targeted operation: at Abbottabad, Pakistan: “A small team of Americans carried out the operation. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.”

Obama also said that the killing of bin Laden was the “most significant achievement to date” in America’s war against al-Qaeda.

It is undoubtedly significant. Osama bin Laden was wildly popular in the Islamic world. In the wake of the 9/11 attacks Osama t-shirts, hats, and even dolls and action figures sold briskly in many Muslim countries, belying the mainstream media myth that 9/11 was the action of a tiny minority of extremists that had twisted and hijacked Islam, and were duly despised by the vast majority of Muslims. Polls all over the Islamic world always showed a healthy amount of support for bin Laden and, above all, respect for him as a pious mujahid.

But in reality, while the death of bin Laden is fine news, and is certainly a psychological blow to the jihadis and a confidence-booster for Americans, it really won't change anything.

The role of al-Qaeda in the global jihad, and the role of Osama bin Laden in al-Qaeda, have both been wildly overstated. Al-Qaeda is not the only Islamic jihad group or Islamic supremacist group operating today, and Osama bin Laden was not some charismatic leader whose movement will collapse without him. The exaggeration of his role, in fact, was a result of the general unwillingness to face the reality that the global jihad is a movement driven by an ideology, not an outsized personality, and that that ideology is rooted in Islam.

Barack Obama epitomized that unwillingness in his address announcing the death of bin Laden. “The US is not – and never will be – at war with Islam,” Obama declared. “Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader. He was a mass murderer of Muslims.” Osama bin Laden himself would have been surprised to be characterized (and by a leader who is probably not a Muslim himself) as “not a Muslim leader.” After all, in his 2002 letter to the American people explaining his motives and goals, he wrote: “The first thing that we are calling you to is Islam.”

Bin Laden explained in this letter to Americans that “it is to this religion that we call you; the seal of all the previous religions….It is the religion of showing kindness to others, establishing justice between them, granting them their rights, and defending the oppressed and the persecuted….It is the religion of Jihad in the way of Allah so that Allah’s Word and religion reign Supreme.”

This perspective on Islam wasn’t just bin Laden’s. Millions of Muslims worldwide share it, and that won’t end with the death of Osama. The US is not – and never will be – at war with Islam, as Obama says, but significant elements of Islam are – and always will be – at war with the U.S. Nothing that happened during that firefight in Abbottabad will change that, and Obama’s continued focus on al-Qaeda as if it were a singular and eccentric group of non-Muslim Muslims that is the cause of all our troubles only perpetuates the unreality that has already led to so many disastrous policy errors.

Until Barack Obama and other Western leaders face the fact that Osama bin Laden was operating within the broad mainstream of Islamic teaching, they will be constantly puzzled by the advent of new bin Ladens, and new al-Qaedas, all over the globe. How is it that all these disparate individuals and groups misunderstand Islam in all the same way? Until U.S. officials can answer that question correctly, we will have made no headway, no matter how many al-Qaeda masterminds we corner and kill in Pakistan.

So Osama bin Laden, after years of silence punctuated by mysterious gnomic utterances delivered (how? by whom?) to the media, finally joins Generalissimo Franco in the ranks of the still dead. It is good news as far as it goes, which is not really all that far. I have hoisted a suitably haram beverage in toast of the happy news. And then it was back to work. The jihad will go on, and so will I, and so, I hope, will you.

a. Nadim Asrar at ibnlive.com writes following:
"It doesn't make much political sense for Barack Obama to remind his jubiliant countrymen that it was the US which created Osama bin Laden in the first place. It's difficult for people not familiar with the checkered history and sordid deals of the Cold War to imagine that most of the people we know today as sworn enemies of the United States were actually its best friends once."
Sure, it was US which equipped these mujahideen  with weapons; but it does not explain why he boasts by saying in his letter (Al-Qaeda's letter) to US, "The first thing that we are calling you to is Islam.....".

A 14 year old boy readies to blow himself and others to be in Allah's Paradise

Life after death according to Islamic theology is a must subject for those who want to understand Islam. Like in all primitive and advanced religions, in Islam too there is a concept of existence of hell and heaven. Probably unique to Islam, fatalism, its theology says that fate of every human being - Muslim or non-Muslim - on whether he is going to hell or heaven is preordained i.e. has already been decided by Allah.

By now, it must be familiar to non-Muslims that, at least according to Islamic theology, the only place for non-Muslims, including Christians and Jews, is Allah's hell where they would be tortured for eternity by burning and other means as disbelief in Allah (or Islam) is unpardonable crime (Verse 4.48).

What about Muslims? Islamic theology says all Muslims, believers, will end up in heaven (paradise) where joys and pleasures are tangible and sensual.

Will Muslims go to paradise immediately after the death or on the day of judgment? Koran is bit ambiguous on this and one needs to look in to traditions for answer and we shall address this in separate post.

Similarly, is the Muslim's entry in to paradise with out tasting hell fire guaranteed? It looks not, but surest way to achieve entry in to paradise would be martyrdom in Jihad in the cause of Allah. Islam also says there are many grades in paradise and the best is reserved for those Muslims dying in Jihad. Very often quoted line of 72 houris being wedded to martyrs (shaheed) also comes in this line of theology.

When I read about Islamic concept of paradise and houris being part of that concept, I felt bit skeptical about  this orgy encouraging suicide bombers as various reports on Taliban using this concept to con naive and gullible people in to suicide missions. Either way, it is simply disgusting, abhorrent and unimaginable to see the so called god 'Allah' offering women in return for killing. But then, there were reports of written wills by Palestinian terrorists of Islamic Jihad in the Palestinian media itself:
Sa'id Al-Hutari, who exploded himself and 23 Israeli teenagers at a Tel Aviv disco on June 1, 2001, wrote in his will: "call out in joy, oh my mother; distribute sweets, oh my father and brothers; a wedding with 'black-eyed' houris awaits your son in Paradise (Al Risala, the Hamas organ, July 7, 2001)
Now, we have this report from Pakistan:

'I thought there would be a bit of pain, then I would be in Heaven': Maimed Pakistani boy, 14, tells of failed suicide bomb bid
{{{
A Pakistani teenager has told how he was brainwashed by the Taliban into becoming a suicide bomber because he believed he would go to paradise.
Umar Fidai, 14, and another schoolboy were behind the attack on a Pakistani shrine earlier this month in which scores were killed and many others injured.
Fidai survived because his bomb vest failed to detonate properly, although he has lost an arm and could yet lose his life because of his injuries.
Now in custody, he admits he made a terrible mistake and begs forgiveness for his deadly mission - for which his family have now disowned him.
He told the BBC he trained with the Taliban for five months, learning how to shoot, use a grenade and ultimately to be a suicide bomber.
He was told he would go Afghanistan to kill 'non-believers' but in fact the pair were taken to another part of Pakistan and ordered to blow up the shrine.
Umar told the BBC: 'The plan was that Ismail would blow himself up near the shrine, then I would wait and blow myself up near the ambulances when they came.'
He said he had no doubts at all about killing himself: 'All I was thinking was that I had to detonate myself near as many people as possible.
'When I decided it was the right time, it was a moment of happiness for me. I thought that there would be a little bit of pain, but then I would be in Heaven.'
Even when the jacket failed, Umar continued to try and bring about more carnage - reaching for a grenade in his pocket.
'We had been taught that if the belt does not go off, we should kill ourselves with the grenade.
'There were three policemen standing close by, and I thought if I killed them too, I would still make it to Heaven.'
As he attempted to pull out the pin, he was shot in the arm by police. He says when doctors and officers then tried to help him, he realised he had made a dreadful mistake.
Umar was persuaded to train with the Taliban by dogged recruiters who waited for likely young boys as they went to school.
The children were told studying was pointless and that killing 'infidels' would be a route to paradise.
'The Taliban prayed all the time and read the Koran, so I thought they were good people. My heart told me to go and train with them,' he said.
He admits he now 'did a very bad thing' and has realised suicide bombing is un-Islamic. The boy has not heard from his family since the blast.
He is still seriously ill and is worried the Taliban might come to kill him because he failed to complete his mission.

Some passages from Koran and Hadith on Jihad, martyrdom and paradise:
Let those fight in the cause of Allah Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value). (YUSUF ALI; 4:74)
But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper. (YUSUF ALI; 9:88)
Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme. (YUSUF ALI; 9:111)
"Allah guarantees him who strives in His cause and whose motivation for going out is nothing but Jihad in His cause and belief in His word, that He will admit him into Paradise if martyred or bring him back to his dwelling place with what he gains of reward and booty." (Sahih Bukhari; 4.53.352)
"Whoever cheerfully accepts Allah, Islam and Muhammad is entitled to enter Paradise. But there is another act which elevates the position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundred times higher, Jihad in the way of Allah! Jihad in the way of Allah!" (Sahih Muslim;  20.4645)
".....In case you are killed in the way of Allah and you always fought facing the enemy, never turning your back upon him your sins will be blotted out...." (Sahih Muslim;  20.4646)
The Prophet observed: There is none who affirmed there is no God but Allah and died in this state and did not enter Paradise. I (Abu Dharr) asked: Even if he committed adultery and theft? He (the Prophet) replied: Yes even though he committed adultery and theft.(Sahih Muslim; 1.172)
Um Ar-Rubai'bint Al-Bara', the mother of Hartha bin Suraqa came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Prophet! Will you tell me about Hartha?" Hartha has been killed (i.e. martyred) on the day of Badr with an arrow thrown by an unidentified person. She added, "If he is in Paradise, I will be patient; otherwise, I will weep bitterly for him." He said, "O mother of Hartha! There are Gardens in Paradise and your son got the Firdausal-ala (i.e. the best place in Paradise) (Sahih Bukhari; 4.52.64)
The Prophet  said, "The person who participates in holy battles in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostle, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward or booty if he survives or will be admitted to Paradise if he is killed in the battle as a martyr. Had I not found it difficult for my followers, then I would not leave behind any army unit going for Jihad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allah's cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then made alive, and then again martyred in His cause." (Sahih Bukhari; 1.2.36)
