Once the appeasement of Islamic extremists starts, the results from that policy could not be less savage than what happened in Kerala yesterday (04/07/2010). In the latest development of unfolding of Islamic Jihad in Kerala, five Muslims chopped off hands of a Christian lecturer who earlier was suspended from his teaching post by the state govt.on the charges of inflammatory remarks against Islam's prophet, Mohammad. In fact the lecturer was arrested and is released on bail. This incident took place when he along with his family is returning from the Church. Full reports and details are yet to emerge regarding the culprits, if at all journalists or officials of law enforcement care to investigate.
From one side this incident reflects the ugly politics played in Kerala in the name of secularism. Will this be a eye opener to our politicians and media? Far from it. Ordinary and concerned citizens must ask themselves what has emboldened these five fanatics to inflict heartless and vicious act because it is very likely that this kind of incidents will only increase.
On the other hand it is Islam and its teachings that are wholly responsible for this kind of intolerance. This intolerance dates back to the time of Prophet Mohammad him self. Read the following ahadiths (Bukhari; vol 5:59:369, Abu Dawud;19: # 2996, Abu Dawud; 38: # 4348). He simply got the people executed who dared to criticize him. This is what Koran (Verse 5:33) prescribes. This is what sharia law advocates for those who criticize Islam and Mohammad. Yet Muslims want us to believe Islam is a religion of Peace!
This is what Pakistan's Govt. says in its penal code Offenses relating to religion: Section: 295-C : " Use of derogatory remarks, etc; in respect of the Holy Prophet. Whoever by words, either spoken or written or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine." Many innocent Christians and Non Muslims, in fact even Shia Muslims, fall prey to this law or to Islamic extremists. So it looks like India will not be any different from Pakistan in this regard.
