Secularism vs. Islam; Qaradawi says Muslims can not reject Sharia for secularism.

The original definition of secularism is separation of Church from the Government; religious institutions have no part in decision making. Today, definition (or concept) of secularism has diversified and has attained more meanings. One popular definition implies that all people are equal before the law irrespective of their religion and secular law gives complete freedom to every individual to choose and propagate their own religion. Another definition of secularism is absence of belief in God; this opposes religion and religious institutions; this view is held by Marxists, liberals, so called enlightened people (pseudo intellectuals) and socialites (for me, this word means use less people.).

Jihad and Islamic Peace as in Sharia law.

In this post, the position of Shafi'i Sunni school of Islamic law on Jihad is put up; nothing is deleted or added from their law book. The whole text, presented here, is copied from Reliance of Traveller, English translation of Shafi'i Islamic law, originally written in Arabic. It was mentioned before (here) that this translation was certified by Al-Azhar University, supreme authority in Sunni Islam.

Sharia Law concerning Non Muslims; Can this be called Tolerant?

Note: This is edited one. I just added another law that I found in their Sharia book to the original post. Apart from this addition, there are no changes to the original post. This addition is about the law that says Non Muslims can not testify in an Islamic court of law.

What do provisions and components of Sharia law say with regard to Non Muslims? Muslims, especially those living in infidel countries say Islam teaches tolerance, brotherhood and equality and justice. Nothing is further from truth than a statement like Islam teaches tolerance. It is good to see from their own law book, Fiqh which is an extension of Sharia.

One of the four schools of Islam is Shafi'i school. 'Umdat as-Salik wa 'Uddat an-Nasik is the manual of their law book which was translated in to English by an American Muslim  Nuh Ha Mim Keller under the title ‘Reliance of the Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper’. In short it is called ‘Reliance of the Traveler’. This translation was approved by Al-Azhar University, the most authoritative in the Sunni branch of Islam.

What is Jihad ! (Part 1)

Jihad as a word needs no introduction but its meaning (definitions) and implications are misunderstood for variety of reasons and Jihad as a concept remains esoteric to the general Non Muslim public.

In the print media or e-media one hears some Muslims saying Jihad means spiritual struggle and others saying it means a defensive war. On the other hand Muslim Extremists and Terrorists say Jihad means a war on all Non Muslims to  bring the whole world under Sharia Law, but our Politicians, Media, intellectuals and Muslim apologists rush to say that these are misunderstanders of Islam, otherwise a religion of peace.
