Burning of Koran and Right Strategies

First I want to make it clear that I am against burning of any book not just Koran. Not that I have any respect for Koran, in fact I have nothing but contempt for it. But there are civilized ways to deal with this looming threat of Islamism and to show our resistance to the Islamic world; but burning of Koran is certainly not one of them. My opposition to burning Koran is, besides the above stated reason, tactical too.

Indian secularism is triumphant: Hindus asked to pay Jizya in India

How worse it can get than this. No, I am not referring Hindus paying Jizya imposed by Govt. of Kashmir, reminiscent of taxes imposed on Hindus during 'tolerant' Islamic rule -just for being Hindus -, but about silence of all other political parties (except BJP) and media and of course, pseudo secular intellectuals. 

All political parties of India are notoriously corrupt and are inept too. These parties are engaged in competition for Muslim vote bank or engaged in appeasement of Muslims as they were terrified of violent protests (remember protests in Kolkata over presence of Taslima Nasreen, writer of Bangladeshi origin) by Muslims. Interesting thing in all this is success of propaganda, by media and secularists, of Muslims being hapless victims of Hindu nationalism and violence thus, justifying all unconstitutional laws or measures.

Right now, condemning or criticizing any thing that has to do with Islam or Muslims is unwelcome and invites all kinds of accusations from politicians living in delusion that Islam can be appeased  and Islam is just like any other religion.

BJP slams entry fee on Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Friday criticised the Jammu and Kashmir government for its decision to charge entry fee of Rs.2,000 per vehicle to the Amarnath and Vaishnodevi temples.

'The Jammu and Kashmir government's decision to impose fees on lakhs of pilgrims going for 'darshan' (visit) of Amarnath and Mata Vaishnodevi by their private vehicles is reminiscent of 'jaziya' (tax) imposed during Mughal period that was forcefully imposed on Hindu pilgrims to torture them,' BJP national general secretary Vijay Goel told reporters here.

The state government had issued a notification under Jammu-Kashmir Motor Vehicle Taxation Act 1957 to charge Rs.2,000 as entry fee valid for seven days. The same amount will be charged per day if the stay extends more than seven days.

'The Jammu and Kashmir government is playing with the sentiments of Hindu pilgrims. Instead of providing better amenities to the pilgrims the state government is making attempts to disturb the 'teerth yatra' (pilgrimage).'

He demanded that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) ask the Jammu and Kashmir government to desist from practising 'such shameful politics'.

Sharia Law concerning Non Muslims; Can this be called Tolerant?

Note: This is edited one. I just added another law that I found in their Sharia book to the original post. Apart from this addition, there are no changes to the original post. This addition is about the law that says Non Muslims can not testify in an Islamic court of law.

What do provisions and components of Sharia law say with regard to Non Muslims? Muslims, especially those living in infidel countries say Islam teaches tolerance, brotherhood and equality and justice. Nothing is further from truth than a statement like Islam teaches tolerance. It is good to see from their own law book, Fiqh which is an extension of Sharia.

One of the four schools of Islam is Shafi'i school. 'Umdat as-Salik wa 'Uddat an-Nasik is the manual of their law book which was translated in to English by an American Muslim  Nuh Ha Mim Keller under the title ‘Reliance of the Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper’. In short it is called ‘Reliance of the Traveler’. This translation was approved by Al-Azhar University, the most authoritative in the Sunni branch of Islam.

Raging Controversy on 9/11 Mosque; A Brief on Cordoba House and Imam Rauf.

Last time when world trade center was in the international news, it was about planes hijacked by terrorists crashing in to twin towers and their collapse and killing about 2500 people. After 9 years it was again in the international news for the reason that some one wants to construct a 13 or 15 storied Islamic center with a mosque in it near the Ground zero. Actually proposed site of this Islamic center is about 600 feet (two blocks) away from the ground zero. The cost of this whole project is $100 million. Initially proposed name of this center (mosque) is Cordoba House but this was changed to park 51 to placate the ever increasing opposition from American nationals who have seen the truth and symbolism behind this project.

Kerala CM: Popular Front of India wants Kerala to be a Muslim majority state

This statement coming from a communist leader and his assertion that he was basing his comments on pamphlets and he was only referring to an Islamic organization but not entire Muslim community are not sufficient for some introspection among political parties and media. As usual, he was ridiculed and condemned like every one who ever dare to say anything related to Islam and activities of Muslim organizations.

Radical Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) is aiming to convert Kerala into a Muslim majority state in the next 20 years, Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said here Saturday.

"For achieving that goal, the outfit is pumping money to attract youth and give them weapons. They also try to convert youth from other communities and persuade them to marry Muslim girls," Achuthanandan told reporters here.

The chief minister's statement came as his Left Democratic Front (LDF) government intensified a crackdown on the outfit, whose activists have been accused of chopping off one of the hands of a college professor for allegedly making derogatory references to Prophet Mohammed.

Justifying the crackdown on the outfit, Achuthanandan said the police is closely watching PFI's activities.
The chief minister said the outfit tried to create a clean image by organising freedom parades on independence day.

Various district administrations have already banned the parade organised by the PFI every Aug 15, he said.

One can never really understand how so many Indian Muslims misunderstand the religion of peace. Other day we have Kerala CM  V.S. Achuthanandan saying there is an underground Islamic movement in Kerala to make Kerala a Muslim majority state in the form of Political Islamic outfit PFI. Yet, more misunderstanding by Muslims

Critics of Islamic doctrines, commonly referred to as Islamaphobes, have written on what Islamists or terrorists or extremists want and their goals and also that their ambitions and activities are in harmony with Islamic teachings and are not contradicting the teachings of Koran. We also have many important and pious Muslims, from all walks of life, also saying Islam's ambition is to bring the world under sharia law. These devote Muslims are referred by many critics as misunderstanders of Islam, because this is what Muslim apologists wanted Kafirs to believe i.e. they are misinterpreting Koran and its teachings.

It is in our mentality, nothing else; Hindus in Pakistan.

For a nation founded entirely on the basis of a religion, Pakistan, attacks on the religious minorities esp. Hindus should hardly be surprising. The Hindu minority is already reduced to meek 1.6% of population. Yet it is not enough. How could it be when extermination or complete subjugation is the ultimate goal. After all disbelief in Islam is an affront to Islam and equally an aggression on Islam. More so, it becomes insulting to pious Muslims that the remaining Non Muslims are not even paying Jizya for their crime of disbelief. And of course Taliban and many groups including some political parties want to change that.

Misunderstanding Islam again!

What we have here is another misunderstander of  religion of peace and tolerance. To be more precise, it is a group actually, not Al-Qaeda, which misunderstands tenets of Islam and also another 500 people who attended their conference (In Sydney) misunderstand Islam. Sharia Law comes to Kerala; Muslims cut off hands of a Christian.

Once the appeasement of Islamic extremists starts, the results from that policy could not be less savage than what happened in Kerala  yesterday (04/07/2010). In the latest development of unfolding of Islamic Jihad in Kerala, five Muslims chopped off hands of a Christian lecturer who earlier was suspended from his teaching post by the state govt.on the charges of inflammatory remarks against Islam's prophet, Mohammad. In fact the lecturer was arrested and is released on bail. This incident took place when he along with his family is returning from the Church. Full reports and details are yet to emerge regarding the culprits, if at all journalists or officials of law enforcement care to investigate.
