Hindu Muslim inter religious marriages ( 7 ) : A psychologist on why Muslim men tend to oppress wives

Nicolai Sennels (born 1976) is a Danish psychologist. His first appearances in the Danish media concerned his unorthodox therapy methods that he developed as the only psychologist at Sønderbro, the youth prison. He taught the young prisoners about mindfulness meditation and developed a special program on anger management. Sennels also developed a psychotherapeutic method that focused on teaching criminals with a low understanding of emotions and empathy how to take responsibility for their own behavior. In 2008, the prisoners of Sønderbro voted the facility as the best prison in Denmark. The leader of Social Services in the Copenhagen municipality concluded that this was due to the work of Nicolai Sennels.

He also worked with Muslim criminals and based on this experience, he authored a book 'Among Criminal Muslims. A Psychologist's Experiences from the Copenhagen Municipality'.

Here, in the interview done by Robert Spencer (jihadwatch.org), he says Muslim men oppressing women is direct consequence of teachings of Islam.

Spencer: As a psychologist, what is your explanation as to why Muslims oppress women?

Sennels: I see two psychological explanations for the oppression of women in Islam.

John Adams, the USA's 2nd president, said that he studied warfare so that his children could study agriculture and their children could study art. Abraham Maslow formulated a similar idea, the "hierarchy of needs," which shows how we aim toward a state of full development, possessing complete inner and outer freedoms, spontaneous playful creativity and love for all.

While Adams's and Maslow's views describe the goals and aims of our Western society beautifully as the full development of an individual’s potential, they do not apply to Islam or Muslim tradition. The aim of Islam and Muslims is dominance, not self-realization. Islam and Muslim culture is an aggressive movement, and giving space to female qualities such as sensitivity and empathy would be a hindrance, since it would allow for less aggressive human tendencies to emerge. Diplomacy, compromise, tolerance, democracy, compassion, sensitivity and empathy have to be locked away both on an internal and external level. On the outside, the oppression of women limits their influence, and their aversion against femininity in the outer world helps Muslims to also repress it inside themselves on the psychological level. Oppression of women is thus a psychological method of hardening a culture on the outside and people on the inside.

The other reason why Muslims oppress women and female sexuality, is the fact that women are simply stronger when it comes to sex. And it does not work for omnipotent, jealous and insecure Muslim macho-men that they in the most naked and vulnerable situation of all are the weaker party. Muslim men compensate this by oppressing their women and locking them up in apartments and ugly clumsy garments. The more embarrassing it is for the man that the woman is stronger in this essential aspect of life, the more he must dominate her in daily life. I had contact with two prostitutes who both said that Arab men did not last very long in bed. In many Muslim societies, a women's ability to enjoy sex is simply destroyed by a knife or a piece of glass. The jealous fantasy of the man not being able to satisfy his lustful wife, who therefore looks down on him and may even go to other men to gain satisfaction, is an ongoing source of torment for the wanna-be almighty Muslim man.

True love can only exist on the basis of respect and equality. Muslim societies are therefore full of men and women who never experienced true, satisfying and giving love. The emotional and sexual frustration that results from the inequality of the sexes and being forced to marry a partner that one does not love surely contribute to the aggression and emotional immaturity that Muslims display whenever they are numerous enough to feel that such behavior is acceptable. As one said, "forced marriage is the earthquake and what follows is a tsunami of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, child protection issues, suicide and murder."

Islamists in Indonesia: Gender equality harms Islamic values

Out of 6 groups expressing such views, one is Indonesian Ulema Council. How come this group understands Islam so badly and so different from what Islamic spokesmen and women and their apologists (liberal and leftist) say in media like THE HINDU about Islam being the first one to bring women out of oppression ? That too considering that members of Ulema have spent their whole life in studying Koran and other Islamic scriptures, one can only wonder which version of Islam could be right. May be recalling some verses from Koran will help clearing dilemma to some extent.

Koranic verse 4:34:  Men are in charge of women because Allah made one of them superior to other, and because men spend their property for supporting women.....so good women are obedient to men. If not, husbands can beat wives.

Koranic verse 2:282:  ..........witness of two women is equal to witness of one man .....

Koranic verse 2:228: ......The men are a degree above women ....

Koranic verse 2:223:  Your wives are like tilth to you...so approach your wives as you approach tilth....

Koranic verse 4:11 : Share of a son is equal to share of two daughters in inheritance ........

One can add (read WHAT PROPHET SAID ON WOMEN) few more to this illustrious Koranic guidelines like a man can take as many as wives with the constrain of not more than 4 at any time and his explicit right to divorce wives at his will.

In twisting facts, often Islamic apologists, including women, say these are literal interpretations of Koran and Koran actually liberates women from oppression.

Above argument is naive considering that Koran is considered to be set of guidelines and rules for Muslims to live by with Allah saying Koran is simple to understand and these guidelines are never to be changed. More over, commands of master to slave are never in code or in some obscure language.

Arab Spring and the Muslim women

I might not have been in my senses to see that Egyptian uprising is all about people, democracy and freedom; at least not in the sense we understand democracy and freedom. (I was told thrice like this.)

Like in other aspects, Arab spring is turning out to be Arab winter for most Muslim women. Sure, Muslim women took part in uprisings and that will be their last successful participation in the future to come as Islamist parties have already announced, after winning elections, any law contradicting Sharia will not be allowed.

Only ignorants blame these Islamist parties because any opinion poll taken in Islamic countries tells the real problem: overwhelming majority of Muslims want Islam to play a larger role and firmly believe that Islam is the solution to all the problems afflicting their societies. No wonder then, Muslim women will find more legalized discrimination against them and more restrictions on them.

To understand what role Islam has towards Muslim women, one needs to look at what Prophet Mohammad said in his farewell sermon:

You have rights over your wives and they have rights over you. You have the right that they should not defile your bed and that they should not behave with open unseemliness. If they do, God allows you to put them in separate rooms and to beat them but not with severity. If they refrain from these things they have the right to their food and clothing with kindness. Lay injunctions on women kindly, for they are prisoners with you having no control of their persons.You have taken them only as a trust from God, and you have enjoinment of their persons by the words of God....

In Canada, recently a Muslim man, Mohammad Shafia, along with his wife and son were convicted for killing his 3 daughters and his other wife because they choose to adopt to western culture; he raged, "God's curse on them for generations. May the devil ...(expletive) on their graves. Is that what a daughter should be? Would a daughter be such a whore?.......There can be no treachery, no violation more than this........They committed treason from beginning to end. They betrayed humankind. They betrayed Islam...They betrayed everything.(here)".

The connection , here, to Islam is clear. Yet, the way media reported this incident, disgust is a lesser word to describe this kind of reporting (here), has no mention of how his Islamic faith influenced his decision.

If, for a moment, one forgets 'honor killings' in Islam, it is worth recalling that Koran states that men are guardians of women and sanctions husbands beating their wives. Koran literally states that women are half the worth men are by equating testimony of two women with testimony of one man. And also, daughters inherit only half the inheritance of sons. Women have no right what so ever to start proceedings of divorce. And Prophet Mohammad said many other wonderful things of women. (Despite all these, US President Obama's adviser on Islam proudly declared that Muslim women equate Islam and Sharia law with gender justice.)

Against such background, it is not surprising to see that 90% of women in Pakistan are victims of domestic violence according to a human rights watch group (here and here).

The painful thing is - which is never accepted by leftists and liberals and Islamic apologists - that this violence can not be contained. Can a Pakistan's parliament pass a law criminalizing husbands beating wives? It might but, it will come with many 'ifs' making law ineffective. The simple truth is that any meaningful law directly confronts with Koran as it sanctions husbands beating wives.

Confounding all this sanctioned low status of women is women are majority of victims of honor crimes.

Some high lights are: In the entire world, Islamic society accounts for 91% of honor crimes and Islam sanctions honor killings. Some years back, parliament of Jordan passed a law  recommending far less severe punishments and also leniency towards culprits in honor crimes.

The book THE RELIANCE OF TRAVELLER -  manual of Sharia law of Shafi'i school of Islam - which is also certified by Al-Azhar university,  the most important Islamic institution in Sunni Islam, to be authentic and a reliable guide book to Muslims living in western world says that Muslim parents can not be punished for killing their offspring:

Yet, some Muslim mullahs in Canada issued a fatwa saying there is no place for honor killings in Islam fearing that trial of Mohammad Shafia might force Non-Muslims to see the inherent truth of Islam. And, of course, media  assuredly, dutifully and happily reported this fatwa with out any question or explanation (here).

This is typical of Muslim behavior in Non-Muslim majority countries: lie blatantly about Islamic beliefs and customs and theology in furthering advance towards the ultimate Islamic goal of whole world being ruled under Sharia; even when Muslim majority states do exactly opposite with the claim of Koran sanctioning such behavior.

Malaysian Muslim women launch obedient wife club

Prophet Mohammad said that devout and good Muslim women are those who maintain chastity and are obedient to their husbands (also the verse 4:34). Prophet further said that a woman can not serve Allah with out carrying the right of her husband. In fact, when a Muslim woman dies she will go to heaven if only her husband is pleased with her.

In April, a Muslim MP in Malaysia said that Muslim men are having extra marital relations because women(wives) are neglecting their duty and are not obedient (here):

Malaysian men have extramarital sex because of “wives who neglect their responsibilities” to their husbands, a Malaysian lawmaker told Parliament on Thursday, outraging women’s groups.
“Husbands driving home after work see things that are sexually arousing and go to their wives to ease their urges,” said independent lawmaker Ibrahim Ali, according to online portal Malaysiakini.
“But when they come home to their wives, they will say, ‘wait, I’m cooking,’ or ‘wait, I’m getting ready to visit relatives’,” Ibrahim said.
“In Islam, wives are supposed to stop everything to fulfill their husband’s demands.”

So now, we have some Muslim women in Malaysia volonteering to help Muslim women being more obedient to their husbands so that their husbands do not go astray and they formed a club for this purpose.

AFP - A group of Malaysian Muslim women say they will fight divorce, domestic violence and other problems -- by appealing to wives to be more obedient, according to one of the organisers.

Maznah Taufik said "The Obedient Wife Club" being launched Saturday is aimed at drawing women who will be taught how to please their husbands better to prevent them from straying or misbehaving.

"We just want to ask all the wives to be obedient wives so that there will be fewer problems in our society," such as infidelity, divorce and domestic violence, she told AFP.

"Obedient wife means they are trying to entertain their husbands, not only taking care of their food and clothes," Maznah said. "They have to obey their husbands. That's the way Islam also asks."

Malaysia is a Muslim-majority country, with some 60 percent of the population practicing the religion, alongside large ethnic Chinese and Indian communities who are mostly Buddhist, Hindu and Christian.

According to local media, the country's divorce rate doubled from 2002 to 2009, with rates higher among Muslims than non-Muslims.

Maznah said it was also the men's responsibility to teach their wives to be obedient.

"Some wives, they just want to get married for leisure but they don't know the responsibility," she said.

"To entertain their husbands is compulsory. If she doesn't do this, the husband will look for another woman... and the house will break down."..........

MP further quotes, “In Islam, wives are supposed to stop everything to fulfill their husband’s demands.” This argument is in line with reported teachings of Prophet Mohammad (Prophet on Muslim women.) and overall position of women in Islamic theology. On other hand, this kind of observation reinforces the main line present day Islamic belief that neither Islam nor Muslim men are never wrong and it is other's fault if Muslims do wrong. The best example is a Mufti saying Muslim men can not be faulted for raping women and it is the fault of women not wearing veil; or infidel women are looked on as characterless or the fact of Islam looking at Non Muslims with disdain and contempt or the prevalence of culture among Muslim men boasting about raping or seducing infidel women (here). 

This kind of statements coming from modern Malaysia testifies to how Islamic beliefs, which are rejected by Muslim apologists when speaking to infidels, pervade through Muslim societies irrespective of index of development and modernization. Interestingly, feminists and leftists are least likely to express outrage on such observations either because of fear of retribution from Islamists or their feeling that their condemnation results in strengthening hardliners at home or, probably this is the reason, their belief that Koran never really means what it says or Muslims never mean to imply and do what they really say (here):

Wives failing in their duties pushed men to go to “private places to satisfy their urges”, he said.

An aide to the lawmaker confirmed the remarks but declined further comment.

His comments prompted fury among women’s groups in a nation with a growing sex industry and a problem with human trafficking.

Women’s Aid Organisation chief Ivy Josiah said Ibrahim’s comments were unacceptable for a parliamentarian.

“I am appalled as he equates women to being a sex toy and what is worse is that he uses religion to try and justify his position,” she told AFP.

“The comments not only show that Ibrahim Ali is a Malay supremacist but a male supremacist as well.”

Rights group Tenaganita, who monitor issues of human trafficking and abuse, said such sentiments were one of the causes of human trafficking in the country.

“Because people like Ibrahim Ali believe it is their right to get sex anytime from their wives, or otherwise seek it from elsewhere, that’s why you have a growing sex industry and we see such human trafficking cases,” senior coordinator Aegile fernandez told AFP.

Last March, the government launched a national plan against human trafficking as the country moves to quash its image as a transit point for traffickers.

With one of Asia’s largest populations of foreign labour, Malaysia relies on illegal and legal migrants to work as domestic servants, in plantations, factories and to service the local sex industry.

Malaysian lawmakers also clashed with women’s groups last month after a government parliamentarian claimed women were “slow” at the wheel and “oblivious” on the roads.

Muslim woman in France: "I will only obey French law if it does not contradict Islamic law".

In a world where media operates impartially, it is not difficult to see why Muslims are not integrating in to host countries they immigrated to. At the root of problem lies Sharia law, which touches even minute aspect of every day life of a devout Muslim, guiding Muslims. For Muslims to say that they do not obey laws contradicting sharia law, when in infidel majority countries, points to established norm: whether Muslims are in majority or minority, it is always others who have to change their life style to accommodate Muslims, Islamic life style. But what if, some host country bans some of those Islamic practices which are in contradiction with country's civilization? Logic dictates that Muslims either obey and live by law or migrate to a country where such practices are tolerated. Some French Muslim women, want to defy French Govt.'s ban on veiling:

THEY are the women prepared to defy France for the burqa.

From today French police have the power to stop Muslim women wearing full-face veils and to threaten them with fines or prison if they refuse to expose their faces.

All over France posters have been put up reminding veil-clad women that “the Republic lives with its face uncovered”.

Last year, President Nicolas Sarkozy pushed through a controversial law banning Muslim women from wearing burqas or niqabs in public. He said the law was to increase security but claimed it would liberate Muslim women from the oppression of their veil.

Any woman who refuse to lift her veil can be taken to a police station, fined 150 euros ($205) and ordered to attend re-education classes.

Anyone found guilty of forcing a woman to wear face veils in public or in private faces a fine of 30,000 euros and a year in jail.

However, some women have vowed to defy the law.

“I will not obey it,” said Wahiba Mebrek, 25, from the suburb of Villepinte, north of Paris. “I will only respect laws of the French Republic which are not in contradiction with me, my religion and my faith,” she added.

She is angry the Government and media peddled this image of them as being oppressed. For her, it was a conscious decision, made by her and husband when they became devout Muslims eight years ago.

Violent reaction

Hind*, a 31-year-old single mother from the suburb of Aulnay-sous-Bois outside Paris, switched from the “miniskirt to the veil” after converting to Islam six years ago.

She said that her wearing of the veil had provoked hostile, even violent reactions in the street. She was recently attacked in front of her daughter by a couple.

“People’s reactions weren’t as violent until this issue was mediatised. Now that the law has passed, they feel that their violent behaviour towards us is justified,” she said.

“People have the impression that we are totally cut off from the world, but we have normal relationships like everyone else, we are accessible."

Hind will not take off her niqab, if asked by police. “Never ever will I apply this law,” she said. “It is not up to the government to meddle in my private life and my beliefs.”

French officials estimate that about 2000 women, from a total Muslim population estimated at between four and six million, wear the full-face veil.

Many Muslims and human rights groups accuse Mr Sarkozy of targeting one of France's most vulnerable and isolated groups to signal to anti-immigration voters that he shares their fear that Islam is a threat to French culture.

Years of abuse

Other critics worry the law may be hard to enforce, since it had to be drawn up without reference to religion to ban any kind of face covering in public and since police officers will not be allowed to remove women's head coverings.

But for other women, wearing the veil was not a choice.

Zeina*, 31, was forced to wear the niqab by her abusive ex-husband. She lived with his abuse until one day, a neighbour saw her bruises and took her to a women’s refuge. She details the ordeal in her autobiography, Sous Mon Niqab (Under my Veil).

“When I wore the niqab, I felt excluded from the world, from society,” she said. “Taking it off was a sort of freedom, a liberty for me.”

But she opposes the law, saying it will further oppress women. Unable to wear their veil in public, Zeina fears their abuse may go unnoticed as they will be confined to their homes.

As for those women who wear their niqab in the street for Friday afternoon prayers at their local mosque, they too risk being fined.

This is what worries Mrs Mebrek.

“The veil is an exterior manifestation of my religion but in a secular country, I am free to do so,” she said. “All this will stop from April 11.”

'Islamic emancipation' of women from Saudi Arabia.

Make temporary announcements to escape immediate criticism and then try to deflect attention from relevant issues. Standard Islamic procedure. Right after 9/11, Saudi Arabia, under international pressure, mentioned that it will be conducting municipal elections and women also can vote. When elections were conducted in the year 2005, women were not allowed to vote and instead, were promised that they could do so in next elections. But it turns out that, women casting their votes has to wait for more time, if at all they ever do so in future (one can read on this from here).

What is so un-Islamic about women voting? Well if they do vote, when votes are counted, votes cast by women have to be counted as equal to votes cast by men; but Islam says value of a Muslim woman is only half the value of a Muslim man and Koran says men are above women. Islam even says women are deficient in intelligence and religion too. Saudi law literally discriminates women in all fields like compensation in qisas: if maximum limit a Muslim man can be compensated for some injury or death is 100,000 rials, that limit is only 50,000 rials for women (one can read from here).

Protests in Bangladesh against equal rights to women.

Islam is the first one to give basic human rights to women, says Muslim apologists, and Indian Islamic scholar Ashgar Ali Enginner says it is indeed revolutionary. Islam has emancipated women from cruel pre Islamic ear in Arabia!! Islamic ulema (or scholars) have vested interest in promoting terrible image of pre-Islamic religious beliefs - but they over look the facts like Islam has adopted many pagan rituals like circumventing Ka'ba, running between hills, shaving of head, sacrificing animals, stoning of devil - values and way of life for the simple reason that is to justify its advent and what is in Koran as enlightenment they needed to project pre Islamic era as dark age; in simple words, it is age of darkness vs. age of enlightenment. Considering Islam's fondness to destroy every thing not Islamic in its path, it is quite difficult to establish facts and actual situation that prevailed  in pre-Islamic era.

If women are given basic rights or equal rights, why do we see such terrible images from countries like Afghanistan under Taliban (present day is not much different), Saudi Arabia and countries like Sudan? I recalled what is the actual problem in all these superfluous claims in my earlier article, women in islam. In line with mentioned protests, in that article, in Yemen against raising of minimum age for girls to be qualified for marriage, we have protests in 'secular' Bangladesh against granting more rights to women under the argument that such laws are against Koran; the great irony in all this is such kind of protests taking place in a country known for having only women prime ministers for much of its time.

Sexual rights of Muslim men on their wives and sex slaves.

Koran is literal word of Allah who is the only God; Muslims would love and wish every one to believe this. In their effort to propagate their faith they say Islam means peace and justice and try to fool infidels in to believing that all those verses of warfare in Koran are meant for removing injustice. They will never explain what is 'injustice' which is the key word. See, if Allah means so much against injustice why he legalized institution of slavery and has even given the rights to Muslim men to have sex with women slaves.

In Islam, if a married women is captured in a war her marriage immediately becomes void even if her husband is alive; she becomes a sex slave to her new Muslim master. There is no limit on number of concubines a Muslim man can have. Akbar had about 5000 Hindu women as concubines in his harem while his son had about 6000. Many people in complete ignorance associate slavery with west but it is west which played a crucial role in abolishing this abominable institution though it also has its hands dirtied. Saudi Arabia banned slavery only in 1960s.

Until the year 1857 AD Islamic slavery continued in India and then British banned it. But we do not see this in our history text books because leftists and marxists in their eternal hatred towards west want to blacken British rule of India while glorifying Islamic rule and do not mention Islam bringing slavery, completely an alien concept, in to India.

Hadith on Muslim women.

Ms. Dalia Mogahed who advices US President on Islam and US policies with respect to Islamic world said in a Britsh television program, "Sharia is not well understood and Islam as a faith is not well understood. Most Muslim women worldwide associate Sharia with gender justice." (full version here). There is enough on this blog, presented from Islamic sources, pointing to other direction. The best way to learn Islam is to read from Koran and Hadith rather than listening to some one, who may not always be honest. In this regard, I present some hadith on what prophet said about women in this post and I will be adding more hadith in the future. I presented these hadith earlier in a post but I felt these need a separate post for the purpose of future references.

Punishment for Fornication (illegal intercourse or adultery) in Islamic law: stoning or flogging.

Iran was in news for sentencing a woman to death by stoning as she was accused of adultery and the punishment was suspended because of objections from Human Rights commission (here). Recently, it emerged that in Sudan each year 40,000 women are flogged for one or other supposedly moral crime (here):

Forty thousand women in Sudan are subject to police whippings for moral transgressions each year, a figure that came to light after a video was circulated on the Internet which showed the public thrashing of a Khartoum woman.

Sudanese feminist and political figure Mariam al-Sadiq al-Madi brought the issue to the attention of authorities, the Sudanese daily al-Sharq al-Awsat reported. The drama of the physical punishments against women in Sudan is much more serious than previously believed," al-Madi said. She said that each year around 600,000 lashes are dealt to women in Sudan.

There was even a case of a Bangladeshi woman dying of flogging (or lashing) she was subjected to (here) on the accusations of adultery. Constitution of Bangladesh is fairly secular but it is not going to stop Muslim moral police to inflict Islamic punishments. What is the proper punishment for adultery according to Islamic laws?

Women with “seditious” eyes must cover up; You see, Muslim men are never at fault for attractions and rapes.

Of  course we have seen Muslim ulema saying that muslims men can not be faulted if they rape women who do not wear veil (here or here). But it looks like, wearing veil is not sufficient for women; it must be really getting difficult for muslim men to control their urges; at least Saudi police think this way and are saying that Women with “seditious” eyes must cover up.

Women can not drive in Saudi Arabia. Yes, it is few authorities in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who misinterpreted Islam badly, but people are moderate Muslims and Islam is really kind and liberating for women!

Muslim Women wearing Veil....

Why do Muslim women wear veil? Because Allah said so in Koran, verses 33:59 and 24:31. Apart from it, there is no other reason. The reason it sustains this Islamic practice is male chauvinism. Below video is funny and disgusting; some people might say this but it is also testimony to sorry state of women in some countries. Some might say Muslim women wear it voluntarily but there have been numerous reports from Europe suggesting that Muslim women are being forced to wear.

Now Triple Talaq on a Cell Phone! Evil Triple Talaq has basis in Sunna.

Islam is stupidity and barbaric; its law are stupid and inhuman. Then what can one expect from Islamic law when it was based on one demented man's teachings, who was obsessed with himself. The point that is addressed here is whether this cruel and inhuman law of triple talaq was invented later by Ulema or it has foundation in Koran and Sunna i.e. related to Prophet Mohammad directly.

I mentioned that all knowing god Allah does not prescribe minimum age for marriage for girls or boys. He literally tells that men can marry and divorce girls who are not pubescent (65:04).

Ruhollah Khomeini, father of Islamic revolution in Iran, has infamously said that Muslim men can marry baby girls of few hours and they even can enjoy these babies sexually without penetration until the girl reaches age of 9. Well he even practiced it; Watch this video at faithfreedom.org:

Ayatollah Khomeini writes (here): "A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby.  However, he should not penetrate vaginally, but sodomising the child is acceptable.  If a man does penetrate and damage the child then, he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life.  This girl will not count as one of his four permanent wives and the man will not be eligible to marry the girl’s sister…  It is better for a girl to marry at such a time when she would begin menstruation at her husband’s house, rather than her father’s home.  Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven.

A Selection from "Resaleh" (Towzih ol Masael) Book of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini:

I. A woman may legally belong to a man in one of two ways; by permanent marriage or temporary marriage (Siqeh). In the former, the duration of the marriage needs not to be specified; in the latter, it must be stipulated, for example, that it is for a period of an hour, a day, a month, a year, or more.

II. A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual acts such as foreplay, rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not committed a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man's four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl's sister.

III. A father or a paternal grandfather has the right to marry off a child who is insane or has not reached puberty by acting as her representative. The child may not annul such a marriage after reaching puberty or regaining her sanity, unless the marriage is to her manifest disadvantage.............

Divorce in Islam and Triple Talaq.

In one of articles I wrote here I mentioned that Muslim women boast that Islam gives right to divorce to Muslim women. It is a joke. Among four major schools of  Islamic thought in Sunni Islam, only in Hanafi school women are permitted to start proceedings of divorce. This is only in theory as law makes it extremely difficult for Muslim women to divorce their women.

And all that a Husband has to do is to say talaq three times to divorce his wife. Women simply does not have this luxury.

One Islamic scholar writes, "According to Islamic laws, husband alone enjoys the right to divorce his wife; the wife has no such right. The Principle of Mohamedan Law by Mr M Hidyatullah—the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India (Tripathy, 1980, p-324)—in this regard, says, “Whenever the husband utters the word talaq thrice, the divorce becomes effective at that instant, irrespective of place and time.”"(Must read article to understand how Islam treats its women by Radhashyam Brahmachari.)

He also wrote another fine article (again, must read article to understand Islamic position on women) where he mentions what is happening in Islamic society in India; I read this when it was posted at islam-watch.org; I myself found it difficult to believe but I knew what he wrote was true. One of the incidents from many he mentioned is:

(Talaq by sending Telegram) The Calcutta edition The Times of India, a renowned English daily, reported on May 11, 2007, that a Muslim man called Mohammad Tazim Khan Lone from Ghaziabad, UP, had divorced his wife Abida Khatun by sending a telegram. In the telegram, the word ‘talaq’ was written thrice. At that time, Abida was staying at her father’s house in Delhi. The telegram also said that Abida could collect alimony amount, dowry items and iddut from Tazim Khan Lone. But Abida refused to accept the divorce and decided to move the case in the court of law.

But the finest evidence to this kind of Islamic law giving so called non existent rights to women is published by secular news paper itself, The Times of India.

{Talaq is no joke. An e-savvy Qatar resident learnt this the hard way when he typed talaq thrice while chatting with his wife on Skype. He says he did not mean it but Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband has ruled that his nikah stands terminated.

That's not all. For his careless 'chat', the man can remarry his divorced wife only after halaala, a practice under which the woman has to marry and divorce another man before she can marry her previous husband again.

Deoband's fatwa section — Dar-ul-Ifta (DuI) — recently received a written request from Qatar, seeking a fatwa on a rather amusing situation. The youth stated that he was recently chatting with his wife on Skype when he typed the word 'talaq' three times, though he did not mean it and asked if his nikah was still valid.

Dar-ul-Ifta shot back that the nikah stands terminated. "When you pronounce talaq three times, it means talaq has taken place, and it does not matter whether the woman has reciprocated or not. Your wife has become 'haraam' for you whether you are aware of the commandment of Islam or not. You neither have the right to take her back nor solemnise new nikah with her without a valid 'halaala'. After the completion of 'iddah' (iddat) period, the woman can marry where she wishes except you," the seminary said.

As per senior Islamic scholars, 'halaala' requires the woman to complete her iddat period of 40 days beginning immediately after talaq. During this period she is supposed to stay away from celebrations and socialising.

At the end of iddat, she would have to marry another man who should then divorce her. She will be required to go through another round of iddat only then would she be eligible to marry her "first husband".}

Wait, it is not over and it is much worse in reality. Better read it from Sharia law it self, The Reliance of Traveller; Manual of Islamic Jurisprudence of Shafi'i school of Islamic Jurisprudence which is approved by Al-Azhar University, the supreme authority in Sunni school of Islam:

When a free man has pronounced a threefold divorce, the divorced wife is unlawful for him to remarry until she has married another husband in a valid marriage and the new husband has copulated (dis: p29) with her, which at minimum means that the head of his erect penis fully enters her vagina. 

What this master piece says is that if the wife wants to remarry her first husband after triple talaq then she should not only marry another guy but she should even have sex with her second husband before she divorces and marries her first husband.

If one is trying to find logic in all this then they are wasting time because this kind of rules directly come from Koran (here) and Sunna (here). Any way, Muslims themselves are not going to question this kind of illogical law because Allah knows every thing and Muslim women continue to be proud by saying that Islam gives right to women to divorce , which does not exist in reality.

I repeat: Islam is founded by a really demented man; this is the plain truth.

Women in Islam.

Muslim apologists, including Muslim women, say that Islam has liberated women from pre Islamic oppression that prevailed in that time in Arabian Peninsula. They wanted every one to believe that Islam has given women their freedom and rights like right to divorce. But in reality, it is a different situation on the ground. One might have already heard about infamous triple talaq.

So, what is the position of Islam on women? When I thought on this, I felt it is much better to address like how Islam regards men? One wants the answer! It is like man is a walking Di*k on two legs. I felt deeply that position of women in Islam is nothing but reflection of Prophet Mohammad: He himself married 13 times and maintained sex slaves, with whom he had sex. Allah, all mighty, specifically reveled three verses ( 33:37, 33:50, 66:01) so that Prophet can satisfy his carnal desires. Of course some people say whole Koran is a reflection of his persona.

Why Muslims commit horrible crimes against infidel women?

Many times it was pointed out here that Non Muslims in Islamic countries are facing discrimination and persecution and also that their numbers are dropping in all Islamic countries. One of the ways of persecuting and humiliating infidels is targeting of their women, kidnap and convert their women in to Islam. In Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt it is an ongoing phenomenon. This pattern is just another version of Islamic Jihad, to be waged against infidels. The latest incident to be reported is a 13 year old Hindu girl being kidnapped and converted to Islam.
